I've tried the C-Apsiro app and it works fine my only complaint is the music is kind of low compared to the windows media player on the phone and the tf3d music player we used to have starplayr as a alternative app but it either discontinued or started charging a fee.
is there a official siriusxm radio app out there? or any alternatives?
i've also tried the siriuswm5 app in the sticky but that doesnt connect on my tp2 and the channel list is out dated. any others?

SiriusWM5 might not be connecting today, because no online apps are working now, including the Official Iphone App. It appears Sirius is re-working all of their online content and only the Official Sirius Webpage is running now. I've confirmed that SiriusWM5, C-Aspiro, Iphone and uSirius are not working.
Dwight2001
I have used the SiriusWM5 app for quite sometime. I was not aware of other apps for Sirius out there. Can you post any links? I will search too.

sirius wm5
hello, are there any fixes to get siriuswm5 working again?
CONFIRMED: How to get your SIRIUS fix...
I just about started pulling my hair out in clumps, but I finally found a solution.
If you have the iPhone:
Pocket Tunes Radio: http://www.pocket-tunes.com/
** Not sure if it does Stern, but definitely does SiriusXM on the iPhone, no Windows Mobile SiriusXM Support **
If you have a SmartPhone/Windows Mobile (non-touchscreen, including BlackJack II, which I have)
SelectRadio: http://www.selectradio.com/
** Developer released a fix that is essentially a DLL overwrite. This method works! Delivers 32 and 128 streams, Howard is back in my car! DOESN'T REQUIRE CAPTCHA AND SAVES YOUR LOGIN / PASS!!!**
If you have a PPC (or Windows Mobile Touchscreen)
C-ApiSRO: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=26310
** Developer did a 11/16 release that for now fixes the issue **
Of course, you always have the SiriusXM App for the iPhone, but no Howard Stern. I for one am personally highly upset that SiriusXM is making such a stupid move by overlooking cell phone internet users for their service. If they keep trying to sell those stupid radios, it's going to be over for them quickly.
SelectRadio has a 10-Day Trial, then you have to buy. Tewnty-five bucks, but weigh that against what the program can do and that the cheapest SiriusXM radio in the stores is about $60. Not to mention the app uses low resources (infinitely better than the Skyfire workaround) and also does XM and about a bajillion other stations. Well worth $25 to me, especially since my BlackJack II can go from speaker (which is pretty loud) to car casette adapter to headphones to line-in to pretty much any audio system... No Stiletto or portable they make will EVER do all of that.
And for the record, I am in no way affiliated with the maker of any of these apps, I just was freaking out looking for a good solution and finally found a few, including one that has me listening again. I preferred SiriusWM5, but oh well...
At least I'm listening the way I want to.
SelectRadio has a touchscreen version. The C-ApiSRO app is primarily touchscreen. The latest version should be in the post.
I used SelectRadio all the way home on my drive (30+ miles). Worked like a charm. SiriusWM5 was usually 51K bitrate. Got a solid 128K this time .
Give it a whirl. I doubt you'll be let down. The interface is a little clunky at first, but you get used to it pretty quickly.
C-ApiSRO latest is from May of this year. The 11-16 date was in 2008 Been using it for a while w/ no issues, works decent if your connection is good.
~Eric
Oops, I said May, it was March *sigh*
v2.0.5 March 19th 2009, which I think is the only zip. I was using it for the last 6 weeks (including yesterday) with no issues.
~Eric
This goes deeper than we may notice.
I was able to login and start streaming on my desktop today, so online is not an issue.
SiriusWM5 stopped working on my (hacked) Tilt. (I know this is a Rhodium forum, but the app is the same, right?)
I had my laptop tethered thru my Tilt using Internet Sharing. I was not able to get anything streaming thru the tethering.
I was able to access the Sirius player and get things playing through SkyFire though. Clunky, but it did play.
It makes me wonder if they detected the IP as a mobile one and that is also part of the problem, not just the coding of the app?

No. Not unless your cell company is blacklisting the traffic, in which case skyfire would not let you log on. Debunked.
The problem is that the infrastructure of the player is totally different now. It's still using MD5 for encrypting pass to the server, etc. But the stream targets have changed. This was done by XM's dev team. I actually made a phone call to product dev in NY and they confirmed it. They also simply said that 3rd party app support isn't in the cards, and that they are "working on" a player. Whatever, meh.
But anyway, stop trying to use Sirius WM5. Not only is the channel list out of date in the CAB, the code is trying to grab the captcha and stream from the wrong place. SelectRadio works. And, it gives you the 128k stream. If you have a touchscreen device, try C-ApiSRO. Most are reporting success with it.

I got an am using v2.0.5. It says connected ok (password etc.) but won't play - says "unable to load channel"; any ideas?
> I used SelectRadio all the way home on my drive (30+ miles).
that one says "no login server or bad login" next to a little green icon of a radio tower, even though I'm using the same username/password that works fine from a desktop browser. It claims it knows what's playing on each one (has a song title scrolling), but no sound coming.
What am I doing wrong?!? Do they have a support link? I can't find one on their website.
thanks,
Mike

I've noticed that sometimes SelectRadio does this, but mainly because the initial connect is timing out. The tower can be red, and I still get it. Just pick another channel, then go back to the channel you want. It will usually work fine after that. I've only had to restart the app once, mainly because AT&T sucks total ass and drops my WAP connection.
Also, make sure you put the username and password for your Sirius account in before you try a channel. Sirius customers that have the premium internet account should hear best of XM channels, but the XM tab will not work. That obviously requires an XM internet account.
Can't use the default file explorer. If you do, the tun.dll you drop in the folder will be named "tun.dll.". It will not get the extension right. I had to install, then browse to the folder using a program called The Tool (http://handheld.softpedia.com/get/Developer-Tools/File-Manager/The-Tool-Smartphone-84530.shtml) and delete the existing dll file. Then, I copy/pasted the new dll file into the folder. Voila, working.
Try that. I had more or less the same problem you are describing. The dll file being in the wrong place was the culprit. Oh, and you may want to install directly to the device instead of an SD card. I think the access time of the SD card can make WinMo progs act wierd sometimes.
The nag screen is a pain, but I plan on purchasing a key tomorrow (payday). SiriusWM5 using Windows Media Player Mobile worked fairly well, but SelectRadio is holding onto the connection a bit better. Either that, or it buffers the stream more. Trust me, I am horrendously picky when it comes to my apps, and this thing will inevitably work for you.
Let me know what happens...

C-ApiSRO is broken as well. The only one that seems to be working now is SelectRadio. This is just plain dumb that none of the free apps are working now thanks to a move on the server side at Sirius.
I think CardonWare (SelectRadio dev company) has posted a newly updated version that takes care of the dll issue. You may want to uninstall everything and start over.
I did a TrialPay and chose Rhapsody 14 day trial. Got a key for SelectRadio, then cancelled the Rhapsody trial.
Total cost? ZERO... POINT... ZERO .
Oh, and I have noticed some random errors in grabbing some Sirius channels. E-Street Radio for example can't connect at the moment. Random wierdness. But Howard 100 and most other channels I try are fine. Experiment heavily.
Alright, I have a Sprint Touch Pro 2 and can't for the life of me figure out how to get Sirius or XM working on Select Radio, I continue to receive the 'no connection to stream server' error. Anyone else encounter this and if so, anything you could point me towards?
Thanks!
Thanks all, selectradio is working right now on my sprint touch pro 2, listening to howard right now.
I did have to exit the app and start it again, then enter my user login etc. and it started right up at 128kbs. so far does evrything siriuswm5 did. wish it had a screen toggle on/off feature.
above poster, some screens were slow to load at first when i started clicking to the sirius tab then channel 100, i know i missed the login page and it seemed to freeze after that, i exited then reopened and went slower, now it works on my sprint touch pro 2, hope it helps, should work for you.
Sirius WM6 to the rescue!
works post-sirius-fiddling and no more captcha!
http://forums.geekstoolbox.com/showthread.php?t=25946
Works great. Hey Now!!! Thanks
I have noticed that some of the channels don't work, and some may be missing, apparently because the channels.txt file (in the player's install folder) has dated info in it. This can be fixed by editing that file in pocket word and saving as plain text, of on a PC with notepad and copying back over the original.
As an example, Playboy radio would not work.
If you log in to the Sirius online with a PC and start a channel in the player, the URL for that channel looks like:
. . . .sirius.com/player/listen/play.action?channelKey=playboyradio&genreKey=sirentertainment&categoryKey=cattalk&stopped=no
The section in the channels.txt for Playboy radio looked like this:
99 | Playboy Radio
playboyradio
playboyradio
cattalk
when it SHOULD have looked like:
99 | Playboy Radio
playboyradio
sirentertainment
cattalk
So you can see how you can repair broken or missing channels by first using the Sirius browser radio to get the keys, then edit the file.
My new HTC Desire Z arrived today, I've been Windows Mobile all my life until now.
So any quick hints on 'must have' programs?
I want to get as close to the functionality I have on my Touch Pro 2 (NRG'ed up) - so could really do with:
- Audible
- TomTom (or least a Sat Nav that will use my purchase TT Nav 7 maps)
- File Explorer
- Backup program
- Anything to edit playlists etc.
- cool games!
Any other advice gratefully received!
I do intend to 'root' my phone in the near future, but I want to get used to it first...
TomTom - Google Maps Navigation is free and (I think) comes standard. It ought to work most of the time. If you need the offline navigation, I think HTC offers that for a premium as part of their maps expansion whatsit. I also hear that TomTom is coming to Android sooner or later, but AFAIK it isn't there yet. There's plenty of apps, like CoPilot, that have offline navigation, but I doubt you could use TomTom maps you've purchased on them.
File Explorer - Lots of options. Probably the best is Astro File Manager, which has a free, ad-supported version and a paid version. There's also some paid apps that let you explore root folders once you've rooted.
Backup program - Titanium Backup backs up applications and other such things without root, and does some more, I think, with it. In the recovery menu after rooting you can make a perfect backup of the whole system onto your microSD card, and restore it to exactly how it was when you did the backup, with the 'nandroid' backup option.
Playlists - The stock music app can be used to make playlists, edit the order of the songs, add and remove songs, etc. I've found (on my Legend, at least) that it doesn't get them in the right order, but there are some alternative music apps, like MixZing, that do. MixZing also lets you edit and create playlists.
Games - Games that are originally from iOS, such as Angry Birds and Doodle Jump, are fun, Angry Birds especially, and I hear Pocket God is on Android now, too. There are some good non-port games, too, like Trap, where you need to draw lines to trap moving balls in small areas, and my personal favourite, Solitare. There's heaps of games in the Games section of the market, just look around and try them out to find ones you like.
I'm afraid I can't help with Audible as I'm not familiar with it.
The HTC Locations app (built-in to the Desire Z) comes with some maps already, depending on where you are. If you've got a UK phone then it will have maps for GB, Ireland and France. However, navigation is an option that it makes you pay for (as is getting more maps, traffic data, speed camera alerts etc). Alternatively you can use the free Google navigation, as has been said.
According to this HTC press release, the HTC Locations maps are from TomTom :

P.S. Welcome
After going through the run around to get my phone rooted so I can removed the bloatware that came pre-installed on it (and after all this trouble I will say that I will never get another phone with MotoBlur on it ever again) I realize that I am ignorant in what could be considered it and what I may think is but is vital to the system.
*before I list what I think is bloatware I will say that I have backed up EVERYTHING on my phone so if something was to go wrong, I can always restore -- I also have the option to freeze the application, but I want to free up space on my phone as well*
Items in bold are the ones I am sure about, items in red I'm pretty sure shouldn't be removed, all others I don't know.

First off let me be clear. ... i am not an expert. If i was i would not have a motoblur phone. I am just a chump who ended up with one. I am someone trying to make the best of what i have. Don't do what i say or you may break your phone. All i can say is what i have tried and kind of what happened. My shorthand below is
Rok means i removed it and nothing unexpected seemed to happen.
? Means i have not tried it and or i think it would be risky to remove.
N means i just don't think its ok to remove.
I go into a little more detail on some of them.
Bottom line is if it has blur in its name then removing it is taking your phones life in your own hands.
My son found a stock rom that i have reflashed my phone with after i broke it by removing wrong stuff. I don't have the same phone as you though. Hunt and find a stock rom so you can fix your flubs.
NOTE: use ti backups and freeze system apps. If its a mistake just unfreeze. Removing and restoring system apps may not work out like you think....take it from someone who found out the hard way. If after freezing a while all seems ok then think about removing.

If you get Titanium Backup you can 'freeze' any app that you are thinking about removing and try the phone out. A lot easier than fixing it if you remove one you need.
Edit: Sorry - i see that TB has already been mentioned.
Experiments after Froyo
I have the Motorola Flipside, and I actually like the phone (which I selected based on wanting a full hardware keyboard), but the MAJOR flaw is the VERY limited internal phone storage. If it wasn't for that flaw, I would have little interest in replacing the phone. As it is, I have struggled with keeping the phone useful for about a year and a half, but plan to replace it very soon. I actually even like SOME of the MotoBlur features, especially the way it consolidates all of my contacts, but I really only use it for that.
I updated to Froyo during Motorola's smoke testing. The update was welcome, but AT&T and Motorola both loaded EVEN MORE bloat which just exacerbated the space issue. So I have my own list of stuff that I have deleted, which includes the social MotoBlur stuff but keeps the account management and contact sync features.
I'll try to get back here within the next couple of days to list out exactly how I've got things configured. Many of the apps have been changed, consolidated, or dropped, so I'll provide a complete list based on the 2.2.2 update.
... squirrel
i can say u need the home one. if you delete it your home page dissapears and its a pita to get back.
If youre rooted, try link2sd to save the limited spaced on the phone. I used it while I had this phone and never got memory full with over 60 apps.
link2sd and mb508
Yes, link2sd is great, I use and recommend it.
However, it is NOT sufficient to deal with the insanely limited space on the FlipSide. If you do a factory reset with the latest ROM (2.2.2), you will end up with something like 12MB of space. These days there are about 7 updates to the core applications, and you do not have enough space to load the updates.
To make space, you have to use the Link2SD feature of "convert system app to user app" so that it can be linked. But 12MB is not enough space for link2sd to convert any apps.
So load up Titanium backup, too, and delete some AT&T bloatware, then start converting system apps and linking them. This will be enough space for most people. My biggest problem is that I have about 1,500 contacts (I am an activist involved in politics). They take up about 40 MB of data space, and data cannot be linked to SD (really BAD design, IMHO). The only way I am able to make this phone useful is to remove about 90% of my contacts AND do the delete bloatware + link2sd stuff. The phone is functional at that point, but of course much less useful since I have to keep my contact list off-line. Even though I've got my most frequent contacts loaded, I often get phone calls or texts and don't even know who it is.

Just install cm7, you have lots of free space and no bloatware to remove! Plus its gingerbread so it gives better battery life. I use it and combined with link2sd, it makes this phone half usable

Doesn't always work. Mine will not give me the recovery access needed to install cm7 so that's not always an option. Plus most people want a fully functioning phone and not being able to use 3g and receive phone calls without rebooting or freezing is not, in my eyes anyway, fully functioning.

my findings are... the accelerometer does not work... meaning the screen doesn't change orientation when you turn the phone...

the telephone dials out... or rings when called... however... when it attempts to connect... it reboots the phone...
and
the camera is still broken

Sage is the developer name for the flipside, like motus is the backflip, olympus is atrix etc. That is correct. But I agree. If most important things aren't working, is there any point in having cm7?
In this same forum as this, the general flipside section, there is a newbie install guide. Use it...

Are you using it on the FlipSide?

Camera seems to work fine for me, the rebooting on call is an issue where you need to force 2G as it has problems with US 3G bands. I don't recall problems with the accelerometer, but to be honest I only use landscape with the keyboard open, which triggers the rotation just fine.
I've moved on to a Captivate Glide now, but I still have the Flipside running CM7 around for a backup and VoIP phone, I can dig it out and toy with it later to check the sensor for sure.
(edit)
Just checked, opened a browser and rotation via sensor worked perfectly. If you set ADW Launcher to persist in memory, it won't have the option to rotate based on sensor, so it's possible he thought the sensor wasn't working. I have no idea why, I assume it's a bug, but it's that way on any ADW afaik.

My biggest problem is that I have about 1,500 contacts (I am an activist involved in politics). They take up about 40 MB of data space, and data cannot be linked to SD (really BAD design, IMHO).

The massive contact list is why you have so little free space initially, I'd assume... A fresh flash of the latest .sbf had something like 60 MB free, iirc. It might actually be possible to manually symlink your contact database to the sd card, I've not tried it personally but a quick google seems to imply it's possible. Since you've got link2sd set up, it should be fairly straightforward.
cm7 flipside
the only bug I have noticed is the data connection being cancelled on call, everything else works for me on the flipside
I think a major advantage of the Nook is being able to go for 2 or 3 weeks on a single charge, if correctly setup after rooting. That however, relies on being offline as WiFi drains the battery so fast. I tend to keep the Nook for offline things because of this and use a phone for online things.
Most of the apps I have are related to reading and reference. However, I've found a few that don't need connectivity that often and so makes most sense on the nook rather than a phone.
Here's my list of apps in order of unusualness:
- Google Authenticator; doesn't need connectivity and without QRcodes you can configure it manually. Bit of a pain to do but it works.
- "Simply Do"; simpler to use than evernote. lighter and won't screw the battery
- Opera Mobile; can browse local files offline. Just use "/" as the address to get started. I save webpages in myfiles, bookmarl my files and then read it later. I find this simpler than "Read it later" or whatever the latest thing is
- Photos for reference; can be useful to be able to see your photos this way; battery lasts longer than on the mobile phone. Can have photos of reference docs this way. You can save a QRcode of a Bitcoin address or private key. Probably scope here for more possibilities
- KeePassDroid; keep your passwords here
- AGP encryption; it can actually encrypt local files with your PGP key or use a passphrase so this too can
- NewsRob, gReader, Instafetch and even syncing things like email only need intermittent connectivity so you can get your articles and then carry them elsewhere when offline. Need a better offline article sync app: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1811873
- Maps. I use MapDroyd with about 4gb of maps but it's a bit basic and only there in case my phone battery runs out. I wonder if there's a better alternative? Of course it's a bummer without GPS but that's how maps were in the old days right? edit: see Orux Maps
- "Calculations"; this app has a calulator but also remembers your unit conversion rates for you
Things I haven't yet tried:
- Dictionaries; which do you recommend?
- offline translation; I only know of dictionaries to look up individual words, nothing that works offline but can do sentances
Semi offline things:
- connect to a laptop VNC via USB networking to save screen power
edit:
Generally my focus here was offline apps or apps that don't need much syncing and so can save the battery the most. I figured games aren't essential so won't include. See rest of thread of these things.

Try colordict, it really is useful and simple. And is compatible with many of 3rd party readers.
Yep, ColorDict is awesome.
I'm currently trying to optimize my rooted Nook (MinimalTouch) by disabling features that I don't use:
- I've started with a Barnes&Noble services. I've frozen them all (like ~10 of them). STR works perfect.
- Then I've frozen few Google apps - Talk, Calendar and Gmail. It happend that without them I can't use Search Market (downloading files not starting). Does anyone know which Google services I can remove in order to keep Market working?
It's really hard to keep track of what causes what in battery drain problems.
Some of the problems can be intermittent.
I seen to have less (no?) problems since disabling most of the B&N stuff and never installing any Google stuff.
I also disabled all the unnecessary receivers in the stock Reader.
I had seen problems in the past where the touch panel did not turn off in sleep mode.
In android 2.1 it is required to have google talk working in order to make market work.

Thanks! Indeed problem was with GTalk.
BTW: Does your Tapatalk2 works correctly on Nook? I can browse catalog of recommended forums (post, login etc. works) but I can't find my own forums (which I'm sure they support tapatalk). Is this normal?

thanks for the colordict tip but its only a dictionary. can't do multiple words a t a time and have to click search on each word.
agreed that its best to avoid gapps if possible and find an alternative way to getting the .apks off market.
I didnt have much trouble with b and n apps? I disabled a few things but can't remember now. certainly phone.apk helped removing.
I'm with Renate here, I find that rooting and then sideloading the apps I want rather than having the market running seems to do my battery a lot of good.
Unlike Renate, I'm not able to simply write my own apps
I'm surprised that Amazon's appstore doesn't seem to be equally as much work for the battery as google's is, but it doesn't seem to be, even though many of the Amazon appstore-linked apps do check to be sure the appstore is available.
thank you guys alot. any recommendations for game

No, as a standard NST issue, it cannot search using default method. But I did it by setting Tapatalk on my phone, making a backup using titanium backup, or go backup, then just restore it on Nook. Searching is still a problem but it takes 3 minutes.

On my to do list for the Nook at the mo:
- finding lineart wallpapers that fit the screen... what is the screen res?
- finding a less animated launcher
- finding a way to share files without dismounting the sd card (checking out SwiFTP)
- an alterative to astro with working filenames (checking out estrong)
- wondering how to link a vncserver on windows to a separate desktop rather than simply sharing what is seen

600x800. Some grayscale images work very well (Ansel Adams photos, for example). Between Google image search and Deviant Art, you should find plenty of line art!

ES File Explorer allows both root access, and direct access to networked (e.g. Dropbox) folders in the same interface, which is very handy. It suffers the "too colorful" experience on the NST that a lot of apps do, but it's definitely usable.
Which apps use on your devices?
Authenticator (think Google Authenticator)
bart mobile (when in the Bay Area)
Fiction Book Reader (for DRM-free ebooks; I've tried a few others too such as Point Reader which is different and cool)
Flashlight (does what the name implies...)
Here Drive/Transit/Maps (of course, although Here Drive pisses me off quite badly at times)
IM+ (for GTalk, Yahoo Messenger, and AIM contacts)
LinkedIn (mostly for answering messages / network requests)
Lync 2013 (for work)
Mango Transit (basically acts like the built-in Maps app but adds the ability to get directions via transit instead of only driving or walking)
MTGBugs NEXT (helpful app for Magic: the Gathering players)
My Account (T-Mobile US carrier account info app)
Netflix
OneBusAway (somewhat regional but very helpful)
oPenGP (PGP/GPG client; not great but does the job)
OverDrive (for getting e-books and e-audiobooks from the library)
Pandora (not a lot, since I have a Zune / Xbox Music pass, but sometimes)
RemoteDesktop (works fantastically)
Skype (of course)
Speedtest.net (just like the website, basically)
The SSH Client (also works great, and yes I use both RDP and SSH servers)
WTA Trailblazer (only useful if you happen to live in Washington, or want to do hikes here, but I do...)
Yelp
This is a pretty partial list - just the stuff that I use *regularly* - and excludes the following categories of apps:
Games (lots of those)
Built-in apps (I don't use all of them, but I use a lot of them)
Homebrew apps (given what I do here, this should be obvious)
#mowithlove (for giving mustache to pics)
advanced english dictionary
CamScanner (very useful app)
Flashlight XT
LazyLens(For pics effects)
Nokia smart camera
Moliplayer Pro(watching Movies)
myAppfree (daily one free app)
Nokia Mix radios
Nokia cinemagraph(Animated photoes)
Youtube HD
Lockmix (i love this app)
Most of the Nokia apps, Bing news & weather, Netflix, mytube, Hulu plus, flashlight x, swipe tunes, various games, Skype, instagram beta, tumblr, pininterest, vba8, snes8, imdb, mediafire, PayPal, Pandora, tapatalk, chronos, contacts, battery meter and baconit. Some others too

I've got a number of apps that I've installed but only so many I actually use...
Remoting into other computers:
TeamViewer - for when RDP doesn't want to cooperate.
ConnectMe - RDP client, kinda works...NetBIOS names seem to break on WP8.
Music&Video:
onePlayer - a decent DLNA app that kinda works (its really a WP7 app, Nokia's PlayTo does the opposite of what I want; I loved HTC's Connected Music app for WP7)
ModPhone7 - Plays tracker music (MODs, XMs, ITs, S3Ms)
WOMP - Also plays tracker music, it was the first in the store to actually work.
Sat Rad Player - An app that plays the streams from SiriusXM. Its no longer in the store AFAIK...
MPAtool - used to be homebrew for WP7, but its officially a legitamate app now. It mostly adds images from last.fm, but does a basic google image search too...
Games:
Tiny Death Star - A freemium game thats actually playable without throwing real money at it.
VGBC/VGBA/SNES8X/EmiGens/EmiPSX - Emulators that I use to kill time in public. Sometimes I wish they made a shell-like moga controller (I don't actually use these too often where I'd want to purchase one, but not all of these have support for it either...)
Internet Stuff:
UCBrowser - A "private" browser that has previously had a homebrew version for WP7. Also works for downloading stuff that IE wouldn't download.
Amazing Weather HD - Nice live tile.... Thats about it. I solely use this to check the weather. (Radar is meh in all weather apps in the store.)
SysApp Pusher - A must have for checking updates and installing apps for other OEMs.
Skype - I occasionally chat with other xda members using this, but it doesn't always work in the background.
Zinio - I have a few magazines I read using their service. Namely PCMag....
MetroTube - Some might actually object to this, but it just has always worked for me. I also had this on WP7 a year ago. I download some youtube videos using this, but I'd wish it had a transfer to music+videos option to watch it on something else or to download them to the PC.
Gasbuddy - I used to try and report gas prices to help others, but since I'm the one who does most of the driving... its not very useful unless I need to find gas in the first place.
Windows Phone Central - This is kinda the only news I read anymore. Politics and regional news is the same stuff month after month.
Tapatalk - I post here using it when I need to just do a quick update on what I'm doing or if I can actually help someone.
facebook beta - Its facebook... what more can I say about it?
wptorrent pro - a torrent app that plays movies and stuff...it shares the files to the local network via a web-server.
Lockscreen background:
Lock Manager - a visually appealing lockscreen that I can live with that has the weather in a format that doesn't take too much of the lockscreen image away.
glance background - added a monochrome version of Master Chief (John) from Halo and set it too look like it was on 8bit device
Mapping/GPS Stuff
HERE Drive+ - Annoying as h***, I use it mainly for my current part-time job and I'm beginning to feel extreme hate for it. The fact it mutes the audio when it announces things is the first annoyance instead of pausing the music or just ducking behind the music volume while announcing the directions. The second annoyance is that it doesn't announce the address right before I destinate. (at least after the last update it shows the hose number instead of just the street name.) Also, it doesn't always have the most accurate maps, its 3 years outdated in my region, so roads have been renamed and other roads have been outright closed. When not actually not on the road it tends to snap you to the road, so you could be in a parking garage where it snaps you to a road when you are actually on a different one. This app fully assumes that you are still heading the "proper" directions until it recalculates in ~5-10 seconds. All of this just makes me wish the Garmin app wasn't so darned expensive.
gMaps - I use this when Nokia Drive/Bing Maps/anything that uses the OS's maps are out of date and need to get to a missing street.
GPS Voice Navigation - I've dabbled with this a bit enough to say its nice to use, but requires data; navigating around the app isn't as straight forward as it should be.
Developer Apps:
TimeMe - a clock tile with the date, battery percentage and the current weather (just temp and status e.g. cloudy image and temp)
Native Toast Launcher - Used for launching hidden pages inside any app.
US MO Apps - for whenever I can get Fiddler to work right again...
