GPS not working on HTC Magic - myTouch 3G, Magic General

[Solved]
The gps is working again, without any intervension
Hi,
Recently I noticed that GPS is not working anymore on my mobile, when trying to show my location on Google Maps for example I get "your current location is temporarily unavailable"
The gps is not working anywhere else, whether I change the location or not, and for all the apps too not only Google Maps.
Before I have the Firmware 1.5 and things worked very well for me, and few days ago I updated to 1.6 but I didn't check for the GPS till now, so I guess it might be the reason.
note: when I use "Use wireless networks" to determine location I get the location normally, Also the phone got detected by Windows 7 64bits just 2 days ago, so I suppose something changed since I was trying to get it work for 2 months now.
Do anyone have an idea how to fix this, thank you.

it doesn't work neither, just keeps looking for the location, although the icon of the gps working is always at the top

GPS drains the battery quickly. This is common among all smartphones. Disable it unless you're ready to use it, or stay near a charger.

If you don't or use it without a lot of frequency maps, freeze it with Titanium Backup and defrost whenever you want to use..

Poor GPS lock on 10.4" Android HeadUnit.

Hello, I`ve had this head unit for a couple of years now, it reports it`s on Android 6.1 I believe.
I only have one problem with it, the GPS sometimes takes 10 minutes or more to lock on, sometimes less than a minute?, all the wiring is ok and once its locked in it will be fine (300 mile trips etc).
I think this has been a recent ish issue, can`t remember it doing it last year.
I have read quite a few threads, one mentions removing Google Play Services?, would this apply to mine even though it eventually finds the GPS location and then has no further trouble?. To be honest I do use the Play Store occasionally so would like to keep it if possible.
It takes 30 seconds to boot so presume it is doing a full cold boot every time, is there a program that will remember the last state of GPS to make it quicker to lock on or does it do this automatically anyway?.
We use Co-Pilot Sat Nav at the moment , but it doesn`t seem to matter which app.
Ideally I would like to keep it as a standalone unit, it connects to home WiFi but we don`t have WiFi on the move normally.
Any help appreciated.

Bluetooth connected via GPS provides timeline data for main phone, not tablet.

Recently, I have used mutliple GPS programs to get my timeline up and running. Lets say you have Phone 1 and Tablet 2. Phone 1 is a LG G7, and Tablet 2 is Fire HD 10.
Phone 1 provides connection to Tablet 2 via BT, which operates the GPS server.
Phone 1 gets the timeline data stored, but Tablet 2 has a straight line through places I go.
I know that this is a Google problem, not a Fire problem, but this may be an answer you guys can maybe help me with?
The above picture shows the GPS data feeding from phone, NOT the tablet, and is being logged with another account linked to Phone 1.
Is there any app out there that can provide GPS signal from a phone WITHOUT being logged to Phone 1? I have tried numerous apps as I said earlier, all to no avail.
The GPS signal it provides is working on Tablet 2, but is not being logged on Timeline on Tablet 2.
Thanks
BM

[Havoc v4.6] Note 4 SM-N910F - GPS problem - no position determination possible

Hi
On Sunday I flashed the "Havoc-OS-v4.6-20210727-trlte-Unofficial.zip" (Android 11.0) onto my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 LTE N910F and so far I am very happy with it.
Before I had the N4S-Rom v14.4 (Android 6.0) on it, everything worked perfectly. On the train I also made the new TWRP 3.6.0_9-0-trlte on it.
The only problem is that in the apps: Clever-tanken, WetterOnline, Wetter.com and also in Google Maps no location can be determined.
With all of the apps mentioned, I of course also checked that they had the authorization to access the location.
GPS is switched on, but it does not appear in the statusbar at the top, although I have activated it there. In the "GPS Test" app, however, the symbol is there. I tested it on the balcony, so there was a clear view of the sky.
Here are a few screenshots: The result of the "GPS test" and how it looks in the other apps:

Can you tell me what I can do there?

meggamoon
Can't really anyone help me there?
In my opinion there can be no hardware problem to blame, otherwise the "GPS test" wouldn't say that everything is OK, right?
There should either be something wrong in the settings or something ...?
I just installed the app "GPS Status & Toolbox", here you can also see that it should actually work, right?
