I dont know if this is the right place to ask this but I was planning on putting my HTC Touch HD up for sale (planning on buying a HTC Hero ). I've only had it a few months and not used it that much, as I use a work phone the majority of the time. No scratches on screen or phone itself at all. I plan on selling with a variety of applications I have downloaded over the few months. I am thinking of setting the asking price as £300. I was wondering if you thought this was reasonable giving this description.

Thats a pretty good price, you could check what there selling for on Ebay too you may even get offers on here also there is a Marketplace thread you can post on which will draw interest, I wouldnt worry about the being on Orange as people can flash new Roms and not have to use Orange, I would attach Pictures of course.........Good luck, If i didnt have a wife I would buy a second HD from you lol

Price on E-Bay for 'real' sales rather then ones that sell then get re-listed a couple of days later have been dropping pretty consistently.
I'd say £220-£240 is probably a good target price now.

SO i went to T-mobile yesterday to check my bill and saw the HD2 and couldn't resist so i bought it... Phone is cool, huge screen, hard buttons, soooo nice.......but i hate it lol. I can not stand windows mobile. Phone was giving me a headache. I tried to force myself to like it but couldn't so i put it on craigslist for $500 because it's sold out in my city. But i'll most likely try to return it tomorrow if I can. I mean I have all the accessories but none of the baggies for them so I'll call first

Save your sorrys and go sit in the corner and think about what you did! Lol jkjk the phone is madd sexy but I just told one of my friends to buy it so i could play with it. Never would I ever dare resort to WM again.

i bought my nexus at full price and waited to use my upgrade to get the hd2. i hate winmo too but i knew that wp7s would be ported to it, so for now my gf has it until they release the port http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/28/htc-hd2-gets-early-windows-phone-7-os-port-could-be-released-be/
and i agree the hd2 is sexy

I got it with the payment plans so what exactly are they refunding? The down-payment I made? and are there fees?

They will probably just refund whatever you put down. I am not sure if they will charge you a restocking fee, we all know HTC/Google charges a fee ($45) if the Nexus was opened and then returned.

tsk tsk shame on you!! naw im just kidding i find myself going to the tmobile store to play with it every few days ahah..well not play since windows mobile is a headache but just to hold it lol..it is really really sexy..
i kind of want to buy it just so i can try windows mobile 7..hopefully they get that android port going, but by that time ill have the Evo 4g so im good Im so stoked on that thing but i do love my nexus one its really nice looking

No I put 40 dollars down on the phone and was gonna pay 25 a month but now i Just want a refund. Am I able to do that? The only thing I'm missing is the baggies for the accessories

Yeah definitely, you got 14 days for an exchange or refund. Prolly will have to pay the restocking fee though, its like $10-$20 no more than $20 for sure

Thinking bout keeping just for Windows 7 hmmmmm

i wanna give it a try but im not gunna give up my nexus. lol..i really love this phone. if i were you i would try and return it or sell it and save the money so when a win7 phone comes out then you can get it but it is tempting knowing the hd2 could get it first.

I got the HTC Touch Pro 2 when it came out because I loved the Tilt, and the Fuze.
But, I hate Windows Mobile. Hate it, hate it, hate it.
They have some good chiefs over there, but they just can't make it a good phone.
If there was a way to get Android ported 100% to it; I'd ditch my N1 and get it right now. But they are having issues with the port.
EDIT: Also; WinMobile 7 is going to suck. I've heard that it is going to be locked down like the iPhone... So, what a wonderful failure that will be.

What do you think is a decent price

[Q] How much can I sell my unlocked HD2 for?

I just jumped on board the HD7, and I have a 4month old HD2 in perfect condition. It is unlocked, with all assesories still sealed, screen protector, box, matching numbers.
How much could I get? I would be happy with $300.00 before shipping.. is that asking to much, or could I get more.

Well it highly depends on the condition of your phone, if there are no signs of cosmetic wear on the phone you might be able to sell it even up to 400$ .
IMO try to sell it to one of your friends rather than putting it up on ebay or selling it in second hand mobile shops & congrats on your brand new HD7 but im pretty sure you'll miss the lovely HD2!

I'd see what they're going for on craigslist in your city and try to sell it there - but $300 seems easy enough to get. The fact it's in good condition, unlocked, and you have the box and all the accessories should make it easy to sell for AT LEAST $300.

Generally, the T9193 (or even the TMOUS1024) will fetch you a little more money than the T8585.

Highly recommend keep your HD2 because it is such a CLASSIC, worth to collect

I have seen prices as low as $150 in Atlanta and up to $399... It all depends on how fast the person wants to sell. Most people that dont know much about phones will sell it low and want it gone fast. They usually try to re-coup what the phone cost them with a contract which is around $100-200.
So funny story, I was buying a second HD2 for my brother in law and when I getting the HD2 the person selling it to me said that they were selling because they hated Windows Mobile and they love their new Samsung Vibrant with Android.. .So I whipped mine out and the lady almost started crying that she thought that Android was possible on the HD2... She said she had gone through so much to get out of the HD2 and now seeing Android running on it was almost overwhelming...
Felt bad... still sold it to me... She was under a new contract on the new phone.

Really? I was under the impression to get rid of it while it was hot.. like still valuable.. I was trying to help recoupe the cost of the HD7 since I purchased it out of contract..
I dont dig Android. and I am not much of a reg hacker.. the default T-MO USA 3.x rom is on there and runs like a silver butterfly... and HTC Sense rreally makes the phone very usable.. I already miss my TCPMP and Resco package.. but I am in the process of wedging in a solution when i get the time..
i will put it this way.. if I put some shrinkwrap on the box.. it could be literally sold as new.. except it is able to take all full size GSM sim cards... I unlocked it so it would have higher value...
I really appreciate all nof the valuable input so far.. i am still bending my ears..

if you were in Aus I'd be interested in getting a second HD2 on the cheap!
especially since our dollars keep swapping over parity every week

Dunno if anybody here uses QVC but yea they got it listed and available. I called up asking about it since my mother let's me use her account sometimes and they told me I had a easy payment option I could use towards it. It's on easy pay now too, I kinda backed up away from the N7100 version since there's no LTE and only 3G connections. But figured I'd inform those users who like this version.

Probably but when I'm with my mom and she uses my Dell Streak 5 she says How in the h3ll do I use this thing and constantly waking the screen up while talking on it and accidentally hanging up on her calls. Shes 66. LMAO
My dad on the otherhand the closest thing to new age electronics he ever touches is a microwave and tv remote, hes 88! hahaha! The damned electronic keychain with the unlock buttons confuse him. LoL

Speaking of that, I've been trying to trade all of my gaming systems(Modded Wii, Fat Ps3 1st Gen and Xbox 360 Elite with 15 Games) for one, I wanna upgrade from my Dell Streak 5. So far no takers, even though what people don't get is ya could sell all of these on ebay and easily make what they're asking for for their Note 2. I'm wanting to get either the AT&T or T-Mo model. LoL
