Tom Tom City Maps alternative?

This was a great piece of software but doesn't run on WM5. I don't need sat nav, just a map of the city I'm visiting, is there an alternative or is it possible to make it run on WM5?

Those maps are by now so way out of whack that it already hurts.
You can use any navigation program (including TomTom) without a GPS receiver (although it's beyond me why you would want to do that).
If you want something cheap, look at Mapopolis.

Pocket Streets 2005 works well on my Exec and you can download loads of maps from the microsoft website.

Pocket Streets 2006 also works....but it doesn't have voice commands and there are no directions from one point to another
So be wary about that when you think about buying Microsoft Street and Trips 2006 and thinking that you can use it on your Universal to map directions for you.
Also, I've checked the maps based on where I am....and a lot of the restaurants info are all outdated.

if it really is just plain old maps. i have pocket streets 2003 pn the universal, and you can use the 2005 maps. cannot remember where I got it from now. could try searching the web.
however, this isn't enough for me, I will be getting a gps later.

Dont have GPS yet but as I am visiting Wales soon I wouldnt mind a map program for my wizard. Is there anything with streets etc ?
Just a pull over find out where we are and where we are trying to kind of program.

I tried Google Maps Mobile at www.google.com/gmm but it has never worked on any of my Wizards or BA's
The Virtual Earth is kinda cewl, very user friendly IMO, once you learn it. Input addresses directly or pull from your Contacts. Arial and/or Street views. Driving directions from MSN.

Was more looking for something with the maps already on my wizard rather than have to connect to the net.

Memory Map works well on my WIzard, but the Maps aren't cheap.

Microsoft Pocket Streets
Have to buy software but map downloads are free from Microsoft and cover most major cities in the world. Just download the ones you want.

develop a maps application with google maps or bing?

hi , i want to develop a small navigate solution similar to (www.trapster.com or radalert.de)
are there samples how to use google maps or bing maps with visual studio 2008 (c# or vb.net) and windows mobile 6.x
a wanna have an interactive map like radalert) is this possible on windows mobile . because of if you use the google maps applikation you have.

gps program for my htc t3238

Hi,
does anyone knows a good gps program, that doesnt need to connect to the enternet ?
i forgot to mention its windows mobile 6.5.

There is a program that with it, you can easily download maps and satellite view from Google and use it in garmin....
I use Garmin when I want to go to a place and need navigation help while I am driving...but for other uses I use OZI because I downloaded all of maps I need from google...

Offline Mapping Navigation HTC Mogul

Hello, is there an offline navigation map for the Titan because I don't have a data plan and need one that has maps of the US, or at least eastern US with voice navigation. Is there any software for this?

I use NaviComputer with a map I downloaded using their tool. While the maps I got include small streets it doesn't display their name. If anyone finds a way to display their names let me know.
