Better application for pictures - Hero, G2 Touch General

Hi guys
Do you know of a better app for seing pics in your hero?
I use the one that came with the phone called Albums but I don't like the interface. I'm looking for one that you can see the pics in small thumbnails I mean several pics per screen.
Hope you got the point
Any help appreciated
Regards
Mario

Like the grid view in Albums?
You can access that by pressing the menu button while in albums, and then you press the "grid view" option in the menu that pops up.

I found it!!!
Thank you very much
Regards
Mario

Today screen background problem

I have tried using many different pictures as a wallpaper image on my today screen but they always looked "washed out" unless I use the one in the theme. Does anyone have any ideas on how to use a pic of my own. Thanks...TJ
i had the same problem before... so im interested in solving it

I know this one!
go into pictures and videos and pick the photo you want, go to menu and select "set as today background" when that opens you are given the choice of how faint you want the photo to look. the lower the % the stronger the colours, then click "ok" and its done.
all the best
Jay
Thanks for the reply but I'm not getting the option to pick the % of the pic. I'm using a HTC Advantage x7501 if that makes any difference...TJ

Are you definitely using pictures and videos? start/programs/pictures and videos select your photo, either press and hold the thumb nail or open it and, menu blah blah! its been the same on all the PDA's ive ever used right back to wm 2002. It says transparency level: xx% with an up/down arrow
Jay
Ahh OK now its working..I was selecting it from the today menu instead of using a explorer or paint program. Thanks so much, now I can use any pic I want...TJ

[REQ] Screen saver App that runs when docked/On external power

im looking for what the title says. something VGA compatible. it doesnt have to be 3d rendering, that would be cool. just the simple ability to have it go to a screen saver slide show of some favorite pictures would be great.
I have my diamond docked on my desk 8h a day at work id like something to keep the screen from burning in. and also keep my diamond private when i decide to leave my desk for a coffee no need for people walking past and getting an eye shot of a SMS notification that's none of there business.
if this has been made/published before please point me in the right direction as i have yielded nothing good in my searches.
Screensaver PPC
Haven't tried it myself, but will in a couple of minutes.
or this
Matrix SS
Main program works and Matrix add on works.
Too bad, we can't customize our own.
I like the idea of a slideshow of the pictures in your album.
Hi..is there a application for diamond that runs your jpegs as a screensaver??
The standard Pictures & Videos app already has a screen saver. Open the application and go to Menu>Tools>Options>Slide Show (Tab) and check "Play screensaver when connected....".

Moving zoomed pictures

Hi All,
I have found the option to zoom into pictures. You can use the round button to zoom, but it seems not possible to scroll or move through the picture.
I can only see a fixed part of the picture. Any suggestions?
Thanx in advance
Robert
Use hardware cursors to move around.

You have to first keep your finger for a few seconds on the screen, then the pan control will show up.

Hardware mod?...

alright guy's and girls I am just wondering if anyone has come across any apps that allows the power button/lock button to be used for taking photos insted of using the stupid one on screen as it would be easyer and I am also wondering if the volume buttons can be used for zooming in and out?
and there is another thing that is up with the touch hd is when you scroll through your music and select the wrong album and when you click back it takes you to the top of the list insted of staying at the last album you was last at. Is there any apps or fixes to sort that problem out??
Thanks, Richard or Rick what ever floats you boat!

Two things you probably didn't know about the Mate 8

I discovered these merely by accident and never knew about them before so others may find them useful too!
1. Press the multitasking button (square) to see your thumbnails of running apps. Now tap and hold on anyone of them to get straight to the app info page where you can do things like alter the notifications, check the storage and battery use etc .
2. Using the keyboard with word prediction, you are given a list of words to choose from right above the keyboard. If there is a word you don't like, don't use, spelled incorrectly or accidentally added to the custom dictionary, you can stop it from appearing again. Just tap and hold on the word you want to remove from the custom dictionary and a pop up window will show - confirming your decision.
Hope these help.

Ok , lets take 2 gestures
Open gallery you will find on top 2 tabs one is album and other is photos tab on photos you will find photos classfied according to date
Then if you slide down there with your finger you will enter to camera.
Another one in camera if you slide up you enter gallery.
Try.
Also in the Gallery app, go to Photos tab and you will see 4 columns of photos. Do a reverse pinch to zoom gesture and you will now see tiny thumbnails in 9 columns. Tap and hold one one of these super tiny thumbnails and you will see a small zoomed image of it and you can drag your finger all over the screen (maintaining pressure) to see more zoomed images as your finger passes over them.
Finally when viewing an image full screen, reverse pinch to zoom to get to horizontal scroll mode to quickly navigate to other photos.
