Restoring Sticky widget note from Nandroid? - myTouch 3G, Magic General

I recently updated my ROM and realized that I lost all my Sticky widget notes... I did a Nandroid backup before updating, is there a way to extract just the Sticky notes from the nandroid file? Or even if i can just read them that would be great.

Updated to new ROM, now what?

I did a Sprite backup prior to upgrading. Now that I have upgraded to the new ROM from the HTC site, can I restore the Sprite backup to get my contacts and applications back? Will it screw up anything since it is a new ROM? Thanks in advance.
I did it with Spb Backup in the Rom Upgrade Mode, but without overwrite system files, it worked very good, except 2 little problems i could solve easy.
As a general rule, you shouldnt restore a backup when you have flashed to a new rom. PIM backups are different and safe.

questions about Nandroid Backup ? What's in the Backup

Hi, As a noob in that matter - I have succesfully backed-up my Magic, and subsequently upgraded to the HERO rom. My question is simple : what's on the backup of the ROM data ? is it the plain rom back-up without privacy details ? (google account, history ..etc ..) or does it contain personal data.
(sub question: how to remove the personal data if they are in the backup ?)
thanks
am impressed

It is a complete backup of the phone without recovery and SPL.
So if you have backed up your phone after you have installed applications, made calls recieved SMS and so on, they will still be in the rom.
These things can be extracted from data.img
thanks for the answer..

can nandroid backup be used to restore all of your installed apps and settings after you update to a newer or different ROM?
such as updating from Cyanogen 3.9.10 to 4.0.1 and if i perform a nandroid backup before applying the update.zip and then update would choosing the restore function restore all of my installed apps or settings? or would it simply revert me back to 3.9.10?

How to backup your EVO AND WHY!

1. I have never backed up my EVO.
2. Ran PC36IMG.zip update after booting up using volume down and power.
3. Installed 3.29 update.
4. Installed clockworkmod.
5. Installed Su.zip.
Now I would like to back up EVERYTHING, so that I can restore my phone to this state I am in now.

[Q] Restoring and ROM's

Greetings,
I was searching and hunting and couldnt truly find a definitive answer and I am hoping someone or two or three could chime in.
When flashing a custom ROM and you have done a backup, could that back up be restored? Or is all previous data and such lost?
If you restore that backup you will be back to that version of whatever ROM/setup you were on prior.
For application backups it is recommended to use titanium backup or helium.

[Q] A500 backed up with sc2k's backup tool and needed to restore

Hi Forum,
as the title says, I backed up my stock A500 with the backup tool of sc2k. But now I wanted to restore the stock ROM, I found here.
How can I install the old files on my A500? Could you give me some advices how to? I don't know how I did it nearly 2 years before.
Edit: My CWM broke some day, can't remember when, so this can't help me atm.
Regards
