Has anyone found a way to remove the title bar clock in Windows 6.5? I can't find the "Show clock in the title bar in all programs" option that used to be set in Clocks and Alarms.
I tried setting the "LimitedClock" value in HKLM > Software > Microsoft > Shell > Taskbar to a few things, but had no luck. Anyone know?
i would also like to know this, as im using showcase and its smart X button covers the clock in the today screen...
Yep, that's my situation exactly.

I was looking for a program that was able to show me running apps in the taskbar, tray or todayscreen and found Magic Button. I like it very much, but only the icons of the running programs in the upper taskbar next to the startbutton. I don't need the other functions, because I have SPB Pocket Plus.
Is there a possbility to deactivate the Close-Button of Magic Button?
Or are there other programs that are showing ONLY the icons of running programs?
The O2 task manager works by showing all running progs in a bar on the home screen. search for o2plus i think should find it.
I was hoping to find a prog that shows the icons in the bottom task bar...

alternative to Magicbutton
I'm still looking for an alternative but can't find anything. I'm not an expert, maybe theres a way to edit the registry so that Magicbuttons starts without the X-Button-function. I need only the icons of running tasks next to the start-button in the Taskbar. Please help.

Try SK Menu (http://www.s-k-tools.com)
I've upgraded to WM6 on Trinity. Noe Magicbutton looks really bad! It changes the colors of the taskbar. Is there an update available?
looking fot the same registry tweak or small program...

This is a Today Plugin, which can show the running apps with icons and some other things like battery status etc. I just use the running programms-feature. You can set the icon size too, which is quite finger friendly
WKTask
WKTask is what you need:

To show battery:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\ShowTitleBarClock = 0
To remove battery:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\ShowTitleBarClock = 1

There's a registry tweak you can do to make both date and time to show on the taskbar without having to have a special program installed to do it. There is a section under developments in this forum giving many tricks for WM5.
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Shell
add new binary

Is someone know the registry key which gives me the clock always in taskbar please?
well first make sure that in the clock settings under other you have the box checked that says show clock in taskbar in all programs.
If Thats not your problem then change this reg key.

start - settings - menu - more - clock and alarms - more tab - click clock in all programs in the taskbar. Dunno
Go to the Settings Sense tab, tap Menu -> All settings; tap Clock & Alarms, tick the "Display the clock..." checkbox, and OK. It won't work if you've got something like the 1% battery taskbar hack set up, though.

I enabled the clock to be permanently in the top right and now I have no battery indicator at all!! I have no hacks running either.
So looks like you can have a battery indicator OR time display. Not both

Jep. A little sad that the icons have to be so big and clumsy on winmo... on android there is room for all of it + alot of notifications compared to winmo - even on the smaller 320 x 480 screens...

Yes, i've noticed that too. It's just so inexcusable, so basic and so simple and they've had SOOO long to iron these basics out, yet WM consistently throws up so many silly issue like this.
Doesn't fill me with hope for WM7!
tried, http://www.touchxperience.com/en/advanced-configuration-tool/downloads.html ?
Today
Single line Date plug-in
Show clock/battery on title bar

Hi All,
I'm sure theres ways of doing this but just want to know the right software. .
I dont like the horrible plain windows task bar at the top of the screen! can this be changed to a colour windows start bar or vista looking one? I have seen few online with other start bars and they look so much better!
Also when I click start and I get the drop down menu, can this be changed to something better looking (without disabling sense?) ive tried to changed windows menu but this disables sense!
thanks guys!!
P.S if this is possible to do will it affect the fone in any way or sense ??
when I click start and I get the drop down menu

Is that not a add on which you've done
If so just uninstall...
To change the task bar just download a task bar from this site, and install it.
Simple.
