Here's a simple fix for setting up OperaMini as your default browser in both Manila2D and Manila3D. It doesn't require any editing of anything. Just drop this file into your Windows folder. It links to OperaMini assuming the ROM was built with Esmertec Java and OperaMini or that OperaMini was the first thing you installed on Esmertec Java.
I created it using an older program called LaunchPad that I found online. It basically creates executables that act like LNK files.
OperaMini
Internet Explorer
Does anyone want links to something else?
I thought I'd be used more than it was. ^_^
Oh well...

This brings up a different question. How do you create a link to a Java program so you don't have to open up Java first?
Is there a simple way to do it?

Looks like you answered faster than me. But yes, that's it. You'll also need: http://www.orbworks.com/wince/#Download
Use that software to create the links and then the links can be used after without the program.

Look at the first post in a few minutes to see it updated with a link to IE.
Could you make a link to Opera 9.5 on SD Card (\Storage Card\Program Files\Opera9\OperaL.exe)? Would be cool!
thank you for this.....my elf is almost complete now
I had installed one of those all-in-one opera mini cabs, so the file on the first post did not work for me. I was able to download LaunchPad and create my own working file. My question is, is there a way to open opera mini on a web page, or will it always open on that start page? The same for Skyfire, can that be opened on a web page, or just the start page?
Could you link the "audio manager" to "windows media player"? Thanks a lot! I appreciate it.
I have searched and searched the forum... and i cannot find out how to change the default windows mobile icons... i know it is somewhere here on the forum...
please someone help me out
Not possible, you'd have to edit the .exe fiels for the applications. The rom icons can be edited though.

As Shetlander said before this is a program/theme related question and should be really asked in that section, not this.
As for the program Shetlander mentioned it enables you to create themes etc yourself.
I'm I right in asking that you are looking to install a program unto your phone and from this program be able to download themes from the net? and then from this program be able to swap from one theme to another?
Is this right?

Yes. I would like to have a program like that.
Need Help ?
Samsung N900V Rooted.
Installed Root Explorer.
Where I can edit/add languages in UI - there is no Languages.XML file.
Thanks for your help..
Wrong place to ask questions... post in "help and troubleshooting" for better response... This will get moved there or closed anyway.
You don't need to be fussing around with root explorer to add languages...
Just go to settings/language and input/Language/more languages... download what you need and you're good to go.
