I have spoken to two online retailers in the UK and they both tell me the date for stock coming in is 11th November, so should have one in my hand on the 12th. Hey thats my wedding anniversary, what a great present for me.

Just come across an HTC Touch HD unboxing video and posted it on my blog, its not in English but some more eye candy to enjoy and it looks like the retail packaging which is a good sign that release is getting closer.

Looked like he was having a few problems with the tf3d. Hope the interface is going to be smooth and responsive and not like the touch diamond!! The confirmed date for UK is the 9th Nov but this can apparantly move either way.

thats because he let his finger of the screen sometimes while sliding trough the tabs. take a look at this video: touchflow works great now!

I think it´s that he let of his finger of the screen like someone said or that he got a old pre-release version. In the other video, it works great as said earlier!

X1 in Hong Kong

keep waiting and waiting, finally got it lastnight,
not too cheap, HK$6480, around US$830. v_v
even switching between the X-panel.
quite smooth compare with diamond w/rom shine on2.0,
the metal case cover finishing is better then photos.
bundle without any GPS software,
seem not stable with my Mapking,
crash few times with it.

if you don't mind we need you to answer some quistions honestly without over reacting
- how is the video recording from the camera slow or fast and can you shoot video in mp4 format or only 3gp?
- some people says the device is fast some other say it's damin slow,please tell us honestly what is the truth?
- last quistion, the speakers sound poor or good ?

1) not checked yet, will let you know later,
but the camera interface is quite good, cause it using the touch focus same with G900
2) honestly, it's faster than a fine tuned diamond
3) the volume is low but not really bad.

Did you get any leather/silicon case to protect it? I am look for a case for it (preferable from capdase but hardly find anything for X1).
And I am also looking for Arm Station clearview screen protector but nothing is available for x1 as well....

HK$6480 is the pre-order price before X1 was released yesterday, as I saw it in some phone shops at MongKok area last week.

i am not sure.... as the 3 guy told me, i can only get back $500.

it would be extremely disappointing of them to release a bigger phone with less features. i'm still hopeful that it will have an fm radio.

Be sure there IS stereo radio and there always was. Vodafone just probably messed up their specs

they may have a timed exclusive. like for the first 6 months then everyone gets it.

Are we still talking about FM radio? Well, first - when was it the last time you've heard of MONO RADIO in a cellphone.. Second - trust me, prototype and as well the final version of X2 has the FM stereo radio. And I do not think they'll change the final version to über-final version

well that makes sense. i dont understand why SE dont get there facts clear when they release stuff like the white paper or details to operators. personally i never use it but i still want it there.

Absolutely. I have used it a couple of time while running and a couple of times for news, but there was one time that convinced me of its usefulness.
Me and a couple of friends got together to watch a football game. Unfortunatelly the game was abroad and no Bulgarian channels were showing it. We got it streaming on the net, but there was no commentary. So, we plugged my X1 to the sound system and listened to the radio commentator. X1 ftw!

I AM LITERALLY SHOCKED.
They gid rid of the x1 early and clearly had a huge ammount of problems with the x1 and the x1 was the only WM device they had at the time then this will be the only one again....
I guess they are taking a big risk after the disaster that was the x1!!!!

As an o2 customer, that spells the end of me journey with SE and Windows Mobile.
Since my X1 was stolen (insurance company unable to replace it, so have given me cash) I have been considering my options. Thought I would just get another X1 as nothing else came close to the form factor and the fact that I have invested in accessories for it too.
My friends have been trying to persuade me to go for an iphone. In fact my brother has given me his old X1 (minus the volume button) and bought the iphone 3gs. He's really happy with it, but then the X1 was his first win mobile and he is not in to the whole eco system, custom ROM's etc, so I never saw his relationship with the X1 lasting anyway
The X2 was my little ray of sunshine. For all it's minor updates it looks a suitable replacement. Maybe not an upgrade but hopefully a more rounded device with some X1 issues ironed out.
I can't go to Vodafone and not sure of the price of a sim free X2, so it looks like I am going to go to the dark side.
It took me about a week to get my 2nd X1 anywhere close to how I would like it. That's many hours of installing custom ROM's and applications etc.
Maybe I'm just looking fo something easier for a while. As much as I dislike Apples dictatorship ( I used to work for MS) I think it's time I gave it a go!!
Maybe with WM 7 and the marketplace, I will be back in the future - I hope so!

The Touch Pro 2 didn't have a radio when it came out...

Yeah looks I'll be forced to buy this directly from SE too,
but who knows.
In my country - PL - it was in Era = TMobile,
BUT they gave me unlocked, unbranded one for 100 Eur.
Maybe they'll give me this again this way, I pay such a huge deal.

Streak experience / German release date ?!

as you may mention I'm a german guy how is impatient of getting this nice bar in hands.
Atm I'm running a HD2 but this will be sold on thursday because of its OS, disregarded the progress in Android development.... you all know that this will never work cleanly.... not for the next year, so get the money the HD2 now is worth and don't let it addict.
SO... I wanne know if there is any release date of the Streak in Germany is leaked or better I wanne read some experiences you guys out there get with this likely device!
Please make me buff of what you know and what I like to know ^^
Maybe some specs who are not specified right or not accurate... like whats the material on the side where the buttons on or how long the battery will actually last, if you can use flashlight on taking photos, or maybe a video of the working approxi-sensor or the light sensor .....

Unfortunately Dell is really USELESS about release dates for the Streak. Constantly their online sales chat say they have no further information when I ask them about their US release date.
Their marketing for the product is rather bizarre, seems like they are doing it right in the UK though.

I've had my Streak for a few weeks and I love it.
The material where the buttons are is black glossy plastic. My battery lasts about 2 days with normal use, which is about 1.5x the battery life of my G1 (Dream).

The rumor is to be ordered online for Tmo which I'll assume is preorder. Guess we'll see in less than 24 hours.
I'd probably go silver...again. Can't believe gold is Best Buy exclusive.

That's what it looks like.
I noticed it in the videos but wasn't sure but that sure looks like glass on the bottom.

If that is glass I might have to rethink this device. Part of what made the One so durable was the fact that it didnt have glass covering the whole front. Call me paranoid but covering the speaker grills with glass is likely going to result in busted glass. I really hope it's just reflection and glass dust but it doesn't appear that way so maybe I need to wait for drop test results.

No. The speaker grills are seperate. Look closely. Those are metal scratch on the grill and not from the glass extension.
