Vista dont recognize my Micro SD 16 GB card via USB

When Im trying to connect my phone to laptop by using USB cable, Vista cant see Micro SD card in the phone.
If I plug off card from a phone and insert it into SD-adapter and plug it to card-reader in my laptop - Windows can read it perfectly.
What do I hav to do, to make it readable via USB?
Thx
Have you mounted the card?
When you attach the phone to the pc, pull down the Notification bar, select "USB connected" then click the "Mount" button.
Vista should then see your SD card.

Cannot transfer my Files!!

Sorry if this has been posted before, i did have a quick look around and found nothing!
Anyways, i just got my HTC Wildfire! Happy with it, but so far i have a slight problem! When i connect my phone to PC, the Pc recognizes it as "portable hard drive" which has been similar to most other HTC phones i have had in the past!
Now when i try to open the "Removable Disk D" as my pc named it, the PC belives it's a Disc Drive for some strange reason. Also i have right clicked and opend the folder as a portable device but when i try to transfer my music into this window it tells me "The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected" which it hasn't!!
Very confusing as i've never had or heard of this problem in the past!
Can anyone offer some advice?!
Try formatting your SD card in the Settings >> Sd Storage menu.
remove the sd card and try placing it into your computer. See if reads it. You may need an sd card adapter. If this works then try it from your phone again, try switching to charge only mode then to mount/removable drive. Also try a different usb port on your computer, see if that helps, good luck...

Hello, i had the same problem. go to settings-applications-development-then tick usb debugging and your sorted also make sure you select allow third party apps.

[Q] Local storage missing when USB connected

Has anyone else noticed that sometimes when they connect their USB in mass storage mode that sometimes you can't see the phone, but can see your SD card?
It seems that randomly, perhaps from some App that I haven't been able to identify, my /mnt/sdcard gets unmounted. When that happens, and I connect with USB to my pc, the only thing I'm seeing is the /mnt/sdcard-ext which is the physical sd card. It's easily recoverable with a reboot, but it's annoying.
I'm wondering if anyone has noticed this behavior on their Atrix and/or knows what it might be linked to.

[Q] Seeing cellphone thru usb?

When I try to mount my cell thru the USB cable I cant find it in the Tabs memory?
Where should I be looking? Or won't this work? The cell is charging thru the USB.
Thx

I was actually wondering the same thing. It is pretty nice that it charges the phone but being able to transfer files between phone and tablet would be awesome. Also I have noticed that you when you plug into a comuter you can only see the internal memory on the device and not anything stored on a microsd card in the tablet. I even tried installing that Acer sync program and thtpat didn't help either.

Problems with MTP and USB access

hi, this has been bugging me for quite some time now eversince i've got my xplay. it seems that there are times that i'm unable to access my storage properly via MTP or storage device. it charges the phone and i can see the device on my device manager but nothing comes up in accessing the contents. my only solution is either by luck, with plugging and unplugging the unit or uninstalling the driver so it could detect it again but sometimes recquires me to restart my pc. my last resort is to unmount the sd card and go through a usb adaptor.
Got the same problem
No idea what causes it.
Also got random replugs where the pc thinks it's newly connected, rather annoying when watching a movie on the pc.
can anyone provide a probable cause for this or any solutions perhaps?
After it got really bad (rebooting phone not working and all several times) I uninstalled com.sonyericson.usbux
You can't acces your SD card anymore but atleast you can charge and push-pull things over adb.
my phone still has the stock kernel and i haven't rooted it yet. though there are still times that i can't access my mem card.
MTP wont work at all for me so I cant update firmware
MTP is far more picky and problematic than a logical drive. I run into data transfer issues with the Iconia A500 due to this, but zero problems with my gTablet that sees the internal space as a logical drive.
Wait a sec- The microsd is seen by the Sony firmware as MTP? That seems odd, since I am not aware of other OEMs that map microsd that way.
