I'm using Ranju's WM6.1 (v7.1) on my G3 128Mb uni and i can't launch 3D games as Tony hawk ... I have the same problem with age of empire.I tried disabling today plugins (as i read on a site) but nothing make them work.
If someone can help me on this problem ...
I have the same problem (posted in Wm6 thread) this is because Wm6.1 Roms are missing Direct3D drivers.
I am doing my best to understand if this driver can be implemented in OS,
in the meantime you would prefer use 6.0 ROM.
Good ROM, but...
I have this problem too. Ranjus ROM is good, but i cant live without Worms and Call of Duty 2. I hope Ranju fix it in v7.2. But still that time, I use nncuong's v2.11.11 beta.
I just noticed there is an update for Microsoft Office Communicator Mobile 2007 R2 posted on MS's website:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/969816
The release notes state there is Homescreen support for new Homescreens in WM 6.5+, plus integration within the phone dialer of 6.5+ phones. I assume then that WM 6.5 is almost ready?
Anyone with a 6.5 ROM installed this update yet? If so what are the new 6.5 features like? I am particularily interested in the integration with the phone dialer.

Tested this new version is working on 6.5 ROM Topaz cooked rom. Although in chome editor I could enable a tab for communicator, it doesn't appear on Today screen Titanium. Guess something is missing in the cpr or something.

Not sure if you got yours working or not but if you enable the "Display on Today Screen" option under General settings it will activate a panel in Titanium..
cheers..
Are there any ROMS out there that are running WM 6.5 without any manila additions? I installed NRGz's latest titanium ROM in the hopes that it would meet the criteria above but it wasn't the case. While HTC home and all that jazz was not available, I had some manila like features specifically on pop-notification windows, i.e. email, sms and meeting reminder notifications.
Anyone know of a clean ROM without all the HTC enhancements?
Miri's standards rom are what you want

So I updated my Dash 3g to Windows Mobile 6.5 from the T Mobile WM Upgrade and I really am not satisfied. I do not see anything new except for this Microsoft junk that I do not use, so who can give me a list of what is new in WM6.5 and what themes/ new updates(6.5.3?) are better than this one?
I agree with you.. The Rom for T-Mobile.com is a garage. i am looking to the previous one I downloaded for this website. For anyone, please aviod downloading T-Mobile's official 6.5 verison.(it's 6.1 with additional programs like MSN Weather and MSN Money)....the only thing it has is "Visual Voicemail". I didn't try but hopefully someone can explain how it works and is it worth it.

It amazes me how anyone with an internet connection can be oblivious:
1. WM 6.5 for Standard (non touch) does not offer a UI (user interface) update. This has been known for, well about a year and a half. So yeah, it looks just like WM 6.1
2. The 'new programs' you mentioned (MSN Weather and MSN Money) are called widgets, basically internet apps wrapped up all nice and neat into a small package for you. Those pre-installed are merely there to show you the possibilities of widgets. You can find and install new widgets on the internet.
3. Visual voice mail is transcribed mail, voicemail you can hear, download, share, read. Think a 'dumber' version of Google Voice.
4. Most of WM 6.5 improvements are 'under the hood' meaning they are there but you just dont see them.
And last but not least. Stock ROMS suck.. period. But that does not change what WM 6.5 for Standard devices is.. it in reality it should have been called WM 6.2 but we dont get to name the updates do we

1.It still sucks...I would recommend no one to download the new software from T-Mobile
2. I still do not care for these new internet apps called "widgets".
3. I don't have Google Voice but Visual Voicemail sounds gay and nothing important.
And LAST, I regret downloading this ROM and should have research other comments or opinion on the ROM. I am going back to the previous STOCK ROMS from this site.
"To Each is His Own"
Hi,
I am learning to cook for legacy device HTC Prophet. I want to have my own base ROM, so I started with official WM 6.1 ROM from Kaiser (19214) and Elfin (19772). The OEM/Drivers was derived from the last official WM5 AKU 2.2 from Qtek S200.
Thanks to the wonderful community here, I was able to successfully port the XIP over and get my 1st booter. Everything seemed to work OK, bluetooth, GSM data/phone, Wifi, IR etc.
The only issue I have is Windows Live won't connect. I tried other SW, and they were OK with both EDGE data and Wifi (IE, SJPhone, OperaMini native, Jbed with OperaMini J2ME, PocketOutlook with Yahoo! emails etc.)
This happens with both donor ROMs, and it happens with both the Windows Live comes with the donor ROMs, or the CAB I downloaded from MS website. (to rule out RGU related porting issue.) Marketplace for WM6.1 won't connect, too.
I had tried searching for solution and there seemed to be similiar issue, but I wasn't able to get a solid solution.
I use BuildOS/PKGTool-based toolchain in my own commandline-based kitchen.
