I posted this on the official forum at t-mobile as well ( http://forums.t-mobile.com/tmbl/board/message?board.id=myTouch&message.id=35929 ), and I've located 3 others who are having the same problem:
Ever since I got the 1.6 update yesterday, I can't use the camera consistantly. I've tried using the native camera, SnapPhoto, and FXCamera. The action that causes the phone to restart varies from camera app to camera app.
So far:
- open app -> click pics -> back out (back arrow)....open again -> caused phone restart
- open app -> look at pics -> back to camera -> try to back out (using back arrow) -> caused phone restart
- open app -> took picture -> saved pic -> tried to use back arrow to get back to camera -> caused phone restart
Anyone else experience this? Any ideas?
yeah I am having this problem.
got a 32B and using Dwang 1.13 posted in there dream forum since his mod does both phones. And no one else has said anything.

I upgraded from 1.6 ATT to 1.6 02, to 2.1, to 2.2 (1.4.6) last night. My GPS is no longer working...I've searched the forums and only found this:
Get "GPS Status" from market; then:
1. Menu --> tools --> Manage A-GPS State --> Reset.
2. Menu --> tools --> Manage A-GPS State --> Download
Which I tried, but still not working. Anyone have ideas or a fix?
Thanks!
Hi there,
I had the exact same problem...
Tried the exact same thing as you and had the same luck.
It seemed that it was something to do with Geolocation as i saw that the GPS status was picking up the satilites.
I then stumbled around and found the following fix myself
I use beautiful widgets.
Tap the weather icon, the tap the middle button (opens up the configure section etc)
Tap configure, then goto advanced
Select FORCE GPS.
Then it worked, although after that I may have found another possible solution....
I very rarely use the google search bar. I did and it asked me to enable location, so maybe this is another way it would work... would be interesting to see if the second fix works first.
Anyway hope this helps & good luck
Tried enable location in google, no luck. Also downloaded beautiful widgets, went to advanced in weather app and checked force GPS, no luck. Any other ideas?
I take it the gps app is picking up the satilites?
Maybe its a case of re-flash

I have the same problem. It seems somewhat temperamental after the update. It can see and get a fix on 10+ satellites in GPS Status and other similar apps. But getting an accurate position in Google Maps is damn near impossible. Very frustrating.
Works on my updated streak stock froyo, just disabled a-gps; both Google maps and other apps using GPS gets exact fix...

for my 1.4.6 build feel free to try the below zip - it might fix or may make no difference
seems to wkr fine here even with assisted and wifi location turned off,
http://downloads.streakdroid.com/gpsfix.zip
I have the unlocked stock 2.2 rom with the performance fix installed. Is it safe to replace the files with those in the zip?

DJ_Steve, I've had the same problem since moving to 1.4 from 1.1.1 (IIRC, 1.1.1 was fine and did not have this location problem).
Now, for this gpsfix.zip, do I just flash it from my recovery? Or are there some other steps to follow?
I would have posted this on the Utlimate Droid Rom thread but I haven't enough posts yet to be allowed.
Camcorder bug beware!
On Camcorder options I played with the select Back/Front option. Bad news. If you change it the app crashes with a Force Stop option and you have lost (permanently) the use of camcorder. Reboot, Recovery all make no difference. I think I even reflashed without wiping the SD card to find it still would not work. As soon as you go from camera to camcorder it crashes. Eventually I repartitioned SD and reflashed to get back to working state.
I don't know how much this applies to other ROMs but I don't suggest you try it unless you want to reflash to original settings!
Has anyone had the same misfortune or know of a way out of the issue without reflashing?
Just tested in typhoon 3.0.4 cm7, switching camera turns everything upside down and left right switch, switching camcorder forces close but opens again normally.
What if you go into settings/applications/ choose the 'all' tab, go to camera, and clear data ? It should revert all camera settings to stock, right?
If not, you could go to HD2 Android Themes and Apps, and download and install the widescreen/regular camera from its thread. Then you should have camcorder action again

??!
I don't understand your accusation?
I've read hundreds of posts.
hey there!
i've used the searchbar here (and everything else) but didn't found
something similiar like my problem.
(please move, correct me or give me a hint where to find an answer to
the following report )
so...
i've tapped a bit to fast through the video-options in the camera video-mode
and pressed "use front camera" (in fact there is none -.-).
please do not ask me, why in the world i've confirmed this...
anyway... adroid closed the app with an failure-message.
now i still can make photos and so on, but everytime i want to switch on video-mode,
the app say's "k thx bye" (well... or something similiar )
is there any way (and which) to get the settings back to the cam on the back?
like "edit string xyz in the registry" or something like that.
i definetely dont wanna reflash :|
here's the badboy:
hd2 with MDJ's CyanogenMod 7 v.2.6 A2SD+

Try to restart your phone to see if the problem fix it self. If doesn't work then use Root Explorer to go into System/app/then click that camera apk to install it. Once you install it over the existing once it will over right and refresh your setting. Good luck. Remember to back up your pix just in case.
i have managed it to solve the problem.
big thx to seadersn from Handy-Faq.de (actually he solved it.)
Settings -> Applications -> Application Management -> All -> Camera -> Erase Data
everything is working now again.
and thx Capt.PP for your answer 2
(i've tried restard before the mainpost... hehe)

I did the same damn thing today. Your post saved me time fixing it. Thanks!
FORUM SEARCH FTW!!
MobileVoip is known to malfunction on Atrix (muted audio on both sides) and as I've seen in Market comments, some other Moto devices suffer the same issues. However I found a way to make it work under CM7.
1.
Settings ->
CM settings ->
Application ->
Perm. management - put checkmark
2.
Settings ->
Manage applications ->
MobileVoip ->
scroll down to Permissions and tap under Hardware controls
"change your audio settings" to disable it (see attached screenshot)
That's it. Now the program works as it should.
I don't know if there's an app that gives similar permissions management functionality. If you know one, it could possibly fix the issue on other ROMs, so feel free to update this thread for others.
mobile voip fix works
i use this on pc and on my wife's iphone4. it works great. on my atrix cm7 it didn't worked. this post fix this. good job maajstor i tested calls only but as soon as i can i test sms too. EU is getting closer

No, none of updates fixed it.
I've given up on this app since CM7 has built-in VoIP capabilities.
Settings -> Call settings -> Internet call settings
Under Accounts I set up an account that I have with nonoh.net (should work with any VoIP provider with SIP support), and under "Use internet calling" I set it to ask for each call. I don't need it for SMSing, and I don't use it for incoming calls, so this suits my needs perfectly.
Hi,
I am facing some serious issues while using mobilevoip app. Before I was using GingerDx v022 with alfs , It was working properly.
Now, I changed to Mini CM 2.1.9 by Naa with Naa Kernel V11, I can use the app first time only. It will log in & work properly. After logout and I tried to run it again it won't connect any more. But I found a temporary solution by pressing "Clear Data" in manage application settings.
Do any body have idea what could be wrong?
Yesterday I encountered problem with S-voice. It odes not respond to any command it either shows "Say Galaxy to wake me up" or nothing at all, just shows my voice command in the bubble. I do not have any custom ROMs or rooted phone, just have Swype beta installed. I've tried reboot, but same results. Any ideas how to solve this situation? Thank you
Have u tried saying galaxy or pressing the button before speaking?

Try switching to language > English (UK) and see if it works. To get English (US) to work try going to android settings > application manager > All > S Voice > clear data. I had this problem too and got it working correctly now.
You *could* do as grimphate suggests, but it's probably easier jes tuh adopt a chav affectation when usin f**kin s-voice, innit?
it worked
Switching between languages did not work, but clearing data did. All good for now. Thank you for the help

Worked for me too, but I barely used it, maybe 20 commands total. if I have to do this every time it is worthless...
