[Q] Custom rom for tattoo help

hi everyone , i am new here.
i own a htc tattoo wich runs android 1.6.
i see everywhere on the net, people at forums talking about custom roms for android, cyanogen and others as well.
i did search for it a bit, but i do not understand all the things,
and there is too many big red warning text. so i wantet to ask for any help before starting with anything.
what can i do with a htc tattoo on android 1.6 ?
any new features to get ?

i asume u are asking about flashing the cooked roms
for the same u need to first root ur phone their are many stikies on the same
but i have used the 1Click by maverik and it worked for me and yes u do have the risk of loosing ur warranty if u do a root but then u can first creat a gold card and them do the root( i dont know how to do this u need to read on the same ) or u can look for ur orignal rom and save it on ur pc and flash the same if u want to give ur phone for warranty that is what i have done i have the original asia rom with me and i will flash the same wen i need to give my phone for warranty issue i hope this is detail enough

There are hundreds of treads on the matter! Just search! There's a Q&A thread, a on-click-root method and a thread with all ROMs in one place. Get going!

I am new to Android world and recently jump into Custom ROM things.
In one of the post, I've found there are lots of Custom ROMs available.
Now from them, how can i decide which on is good for my device(Samsung Galaxy 3-I5801).
Please help.

U can try your choice of ROM if u want...just download 2-3 ROMs and then select which u feel is the best

Just look for number of views of the rom thread and you will know what u are looking for.

That was a joke, right? Are you saying that some ROMs that just came out (but still most of them are better than, lets say indroid OR any other ROM) are not as good because they dont have that many views? Views are same as nothing... You can get +10000 views easily with cheating (like stealing someones work)
@OP go check the FAQ thread, its the first thread in general section and there is a best custom ROM thread!
My idea was not to insult anyone, but if i did then please feel free to PM me and we can sort it out

Yes. That s what everone is saying. I first heard this news from Dharam on Facebook.

yeah my custom rom is the best ofc but i don't have many views
just flash a g3mod kernel and try all system.imges test them yourself and you know wich one fits you

you have read a lot before choice the ROM and installing them...
And i strongly recommend you to read many threads about customs roms and how to installing the ROM if you dont want to do every thing smoothly..

what..? when and y..?

being new i would suggest you too to read the posts for new users then you would understand what you want....every ROM will have a few things different than others, and you will seldom have one ROM for all <atleast as of now>....i myself have 7 ROMs now, but cant pick one to be best. I would strongly suggest you to install G3Mod kernel which gives u functionality of multiboot, then you can have system.img of various ROMs and u can switch between them and decide which one suits u most. everyone is here to help you in future incase u need

each rom is filled with a lot of props,customizations....
and all this will result in force closes,battery drain etc....custom kernel is also a major culprit....you will eventually get irritated
get JPM and customize it yourself

The ROM that works the best for me (again, for me), is GreenMods POX 1.5, removing the default MIUI like launcher and TW launcher and installing LauncherPro. Is light, fast, stable and it doesn't come filled with much stuff.
If I was you I'd give it a try

HI guys .... i wanna get New Rom i have Omga now and it is Cool -4.1.2- but i wanna 4.3 as it Samsung interface not Nexus so i need ur suggestion for this new 1 i hope i get much help ...ps: i have s2 i9100

Let me answer that; No.
1. Post right thread in right sub-category. This one belongs in Q&A.
2. POsting about 'The best rom' is a direct hit on one of XDA's rules, there's also a sticky thread on Q&A which says that these kinds of threads are forbidden
