I searched the forum and found a couple posts about using the Think Outside Stowaway Bluetooth Keyboard with the HD, and they seem to have driver problems.
Has anybody successfully used this keyboard with the Touch HD? Or any other bluetooth portable keyboard? If so, what driver did you use? The only place I can find drivers for it is on the iGo website (who no longer sell their branded version of it) and they do list drivers for HTC, but not the Blackstone.
Thanks.
Works fine for me with iGO's last WM5 driver, but driver must be installed in main memory!
Thanks for the quick response. I'm tempted to try one of these.
working great from time that HD got launched.
as always, install drivers to main memory and its no prob.
Same here: Works perfectly!
Same here! Been using the same Stowaway keyboard since 2004 - Imate PDA2K to a IPaq HX2490 to TytnII & now my HD - works great! If you can't get the drivers let me know & I'll send you a copy of mine.

Yeah - I did post about what driver to use on a thread about this a while back, but then I lost the thread completely! But I then just tried the generic 'WM5' drivers and - yes, it does work - BUT what doesn't work are the 'options' - so I cant turn off that f...ing stupid and annoyingly loud 'key-click' on it - which basically renders it completely useless for me all over again.
Brilliant driver support once again.....
Although, in fairness, IIRC it's been a discon. product for some time??
Mine works fine as well. Cab file name that I use is Think Outside PPC5 En.CAB.

Guys, and proud (future) owners of the Thinkoutside Bluetooth external keyboard. Save yourself some time by remembering these two important steps:
1) Thinkoutside PPC driver (current 4.5) must be installed in main memory
2) After pairing, in enabling dialogue, you´ll find another tiny option button "Disable internal HID" (a Bluetooth profile) below the greyed Connect button. Disable Tytn´s HID, and Thinkoutside will work.
Enough that I lost one hour searching for the "how-to-install", previously installed flawlessly on the Prophet...
Anybody know if this works for the Stowaway Travel Mouse aswell? I can't get it to work...
HTC TyTN - Vodafone 1605 Bluetooth ThinkOutside Stowaway Universal Keyboard install.
I just followed the advice from Lucas0511 with driver version 4.52. I used the Stowaway with a PPC2003 Fujitsu Siemens 720 and just got it working with my new Vodafone 1605 phone
I installed the CAB file to the main memory using Cabinstl_en.exe rather than using the .exe which comes in the zip file from www.igo.com. The HTC TyTN Orange 3100 and Vodafone 1605 as of today are not on the supported list but the 4.52 driver obtained by entering the manufacturer
T-mobile Pocket PC and MDAII will get you to the Think Outside PPC En.zip 4.52 4/18/2007 download page which can also be reached by entering:
http://www.thinkoutside.com/support/Drivers.asp?ManufacturerID=43&ModelID=209
Cheers

Uhh maybe it's because you can't use a mouse in windows mobile ?!?!

p.s. you need special software if you really want to do that.
Hello friends,
My firts contact with this forum.
I have one question. Palmone Universal Wireless Keyboard don't work with Prophet, s200, etc..??? Help please . Anybody has an special drivers??? The PalmOne UWK drivers don't work.
Isn't this thing infrared? If so, make sure it lines up nicely to the infrared of the S200. Also make sure that your 'receive all incoming beams' function under SETTING->Connections->BEAM is turned on.
I guess you found the drivers here?
Also try searching the forums here (complete forums, not just prophet) for more posts about this keyboard. I'm sure there are some.
I tried this Keyboard on the Prophet. It doesn't work, but it works on the Blueangel w/o hassle.
same here. I bought the palm universal wireless keyboard thinking it'll work with the prophet since it's wm5. No luck.. =(
It's too bad cause I got the keyboard really cheap...
Anyone have a driver? The ones from the HP site don't seem to work
I have the same problem. The HP BT foldable keyboard software doesn´t works on Trinity. Does anyone know a .cab or program to connect this keyboard on the HTC P3600?
Same problem here. Six months I am trying to find a driver for Trinity. Unfortunately no joy till now. I hope that you will be more lucky than me.
Regards!
I am using the drivers that came with the disk, big problems with key repeat. Is that everyone elses problem?
I bought the Igo stowaway from http://www.expansys.nl/zoompic.aspx?type=item&i=113674 this is a Dell brand but complete identical to the Igo original the diference is the price this one is almost 60€ cheaper, but the drivers whcih are delivered are drivers for the Dell Axim I own a M700 which I upgraded to a HTC Trinity.
The problem is that some of the caracters are at a complete diferent place as what the keyboard sugest the letters are ok and mainley the ? symbol is a frequent used symbol which isn't at his place, I think this is a mater of drivers , I can't find any drivers at the thinkoutside site but at least one site sells the Igo keyboard as being compatible whit the Trinty, is there anyone who has these drivers for me?
If this works you can do a great deal by buying the same Dellkeyboard.
Thanks in advance Willem
I have found it already
If someone wants to now, just go online with the trinity conect to thinkoutside.com annd download the driver, now all the keys are working as displayed.
Can recomend that keyboard.
Willem
great info. thanks, i'm ordering that as well
Hi,
I'm a newbie and would like some help pleeease!
I have a jasjam that is running wm6. I bought an iGo Think Outside portable bluetooth keyboard and mouse. They do not support Jasjams... but someone had downloaded the Jasjar driver and installed it and everything worked fine (http://www.mrgadget.com.au/2007/05/imate-jasjamdopod-838-pro-stowaway.html). The only thing is that his jasjam was probably on wm5 judging by the date I went ahead and bought the keyboard and mouse thinking I could download the jasjar driver and be able to use them but I can't get them to work (it only gets up to step 5 in the manual)
Just wondering if anyone knows how I can get my keyboard to work on wm6? I wrote to customer support and they can't help because the keyboard is now discontinued and they won't be releasing any new drivers for wm6
Thanks and looking forward to hearing from anyone
