I have browsed the forums, but could not find the answer; I use Phonebook instead of the native phone application, but accidently have changed the phone button to the native app; and cannot find a way to change the button assignment back to Phonebook. Deleting, reinstalling Phonebook doesnt work.
Any ideas, help to change phone button assignment back to phonebook please?

Hi there,
on my Trion PPC with WM5 I have tried to work out a way to mark an SMS as read, without opening the messaging app by the push of one hard key. So far I couldnt get it to work. Has anyone come across a way do it ?
Reason is, that on WM5 the message self displays for a while upon reciept, so no need to futher open the Messaging.
Greetings
Paddy
nice idea. i am also planning on adding this option for the application im creating.
any ideas?
upon receiving a notification, right soft button, and select 'save as read..'. Doesn't open the messaging apps, but not a 1 button solution.
The soft button way is obvious, but thats several clicks. Does anyone know how to assign a command under a short menu to a button ?
A One touch solution is what we need, its so anoying having to do so many steps each time you get the new sms pop up.
Greetings
Paddy
I would do it like noted above.. Add a button to the menu's of the notification .. and let it invoke a dll or application which uses MAPI functions to mark the sms as read.
I have done a search but it seems like nobody else needs this "feature".
I use the green phone key to switch to my phone when i am in other applications. When i am in Outlook mobile and i press the green phone key it will go toa page saying:
"Verify the number is correct: ....." and then pressing the green key will dial that contact.
I wish to turn this feautre of outlook mobile off so that it will not dial the person whom i had email/sms from but to just go straight into phone.
My other hardware keys are all assigned to other apps so i dont want to to change them either.
is there a way through the registry i can turn this feature off?
Cheers
Hi there,
On the HTC main menu bar, the one you slide horizontally, there is a shortcut to the HTC contacts program.
I don´t like this program since I can´t have a grouping of contacts per company which the built-in contacts program have.
So I was wondering how I can change the shortcut on the HTC menu to the built in contacts program instead?
I checked on other forums and the reply was that it probably can´t be done, maybe it can be done with a registry hack. Any suggestions?
Thanks for your help ...
You can't change the Manila default program to show another program in the contacts tab.
One solution would be to set one of your soft keys or a hardware button to point to the contact program of your choice.
Also some contact programs like Resco CM can be set as your default program, but that just means it will open when you press All Contacts in the contacts tab.
i have a problem with my hd2's email settings. whenever i make changes in the settings front the email inbox, like managing forders for example, i can't seem to save the changes I've made. i tried pressing the ok button on the top, pressed the physical back key button, the home key but nothing seems to save the changes in the settings and its very annoying. help anyone?
for windows mobile on the htc snap/maple... im wondering if there is a registry edit or other trick to make the Send button from the home screen show only the call log without contacts. after pressing it, you can select calls or calls and contacts from the menu but it never remembers this, so im wondering if i can change the default behavior. i find the contacts kind of redundant because they are only one button away from the home screen anyway. thanks in advance!
