Has the tools and tutorials on changing fonts. Read through the whole post as there are plenty of ready made cabs for you to install too.

welcome to xda-developers
Could someone please post a comprehensive guide on how to install manila in a Blue angel with wm 6.1 by xplode? And as for "comprehensive guide" I mean one that actually works and it's easy to follow. Because guide of a zillion steps and that doesn't work in the end are all over the web.
Thank you.
p.s. after the guide is made could some of the mod's be so kind and delete the (later) useless topic.

Honestly, people should either read more or at least try. If you have already installed M2D and you go to the apps tab, you will see that each one of the little squares for the apps has a "+" sign, which in mathematical terms, it means "add"... I will let you figure out the rest.
I dont know how to program it but if someone can do it i will be a very useful app..
Sorry im from spain and i can speak a little english....
That would be to do with software right?
Have you searched the software section?

As Shetlander said before this is a program/theme related question and should be really asked in that section, not this.
As for the program Shetlander mentioned it enables you to create themes etc yourself.
I'm I right in asking that you are looking to install a program unto your phone and from this program be able to download themes from the net? and then from this program be able to swap from one theme to another?
Is this right?

Yes. I would like to have a program like that.
I've seen this fix floating here for manila 2.1...
Is there one for manila 2.5 too? I've searched with zero results..
I cannot take credit for this but here you go.
Updated...I am sorry. I don't think this works for 2.5
Hehe. answering to my own request..
here it is, for manila 2.1 and 2.5, seems to work fine http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=583161
Neither of the fixes in post #2 and post #3 worked for me, using the Tilt2 with TF3D 2.1.19183217.0 -- with both i get what looks like numbers /way/ too large for the flip clock area
sigh

Appreciated, but I can't bring myself to flash a new ROM -- call me a wimp if you want.
you didnt backup the manila-file? what version of manila do you have? ask for the file from some one so you dont need a hardreset.. i have the full backup made with maxTTF so i can revert any manila-file that gets corrupted or what ever when trying something new that gets ****ed up..

No, no, i've managed to revert to the properly working flip clock, it's just that the manila files provided in both the cab fix and the zip fix (they have the same filename but the unix command cmp shows the files to be different one from the other) do not fix the problem but instead corrupt the display. I provided my specific Manila version in case there is some significant difference.

why i have a feeling that everyone stops reading thread in post #3 right after links. if you'd keept reading, you would find a link to online patcher that should solve your problem. just submit your original file to it.
btw, cab from post #2 contains very first version of that patch. (as seen here) so i recommend update to whoever distributes it ;>

OK, I just looked at all of the posts in this thread and the last link /is/ in post #3 -- I see no link to an online patcher. In which post is it?

If you're unlucky and provided file doesn't match your manila, you may still try to patch yours with my online patcher (still experimental)

may sound bit odd asking such a question in this thread, but can anyone supply a cab or registry enrty (or what ever is needed) to enable the 1 hour 2 minute animation? The rom I use at the moment has it disabled (Cell Series v6 Manila 2.1) have asked in that thread but no one has replied yet, I could be wrong but is it a certain file that needs replacing? Would be great if someone could help out!
Thanks
find original maila package of manila included in this rom and replace 2a0ac464_manila file.
or just ask cook for the file.

thanks for your help, anyone here kind enough to share their manila 2.1 "2a0ac464_manila" that does have the animation?
I found EMUI themes on the internet which changed the design of various third party apps like f.e. WhatsApp. So I know, I could just take the theme, and edit the com.whatsapp file in it, but there are not all design elements of the app included. So my question: How can I find out the name of every design element and file name to change the design of every part of each app?
This is huge process i think
I'd just need the name of the elements for this xml file and the rest of the file structure where the media files for icons are (with their name). How could other people do it then? Isn't there a way to easily find that out? ?
I guess you have to decompile the apps in question and look at their source code for the correct names for elements. Probably a bit time consuming process yes. But that's probably how they all do it.
Thanks, I decompiled WhatsApp.apk and am now trying to understand how this whole thing works... I still don't understand everything especially because of the theme.xml file which obviously only exists in the theme, but not in the decompiled WhatsApp.apk. But I'm going to try to find out everything by try and error

Hmm there isn't explained how editing of any app works, only some app icons, wallpaper and lockscreen.

Does anyone know how to edit the chat bubbles in Whatsapp using the EMUI themes? I already tried to enter another color inside the theme.xml:
<color name="bubble_color_outgoing">#ffd29bd7</color>
And I also tried to edit those files (see attachment) inside /res/drawable-hdpi-v4/, /res/drawable-xhdpi-v4/ and /res/drawable-xxhdpi-v4/.
Nothing changed. Is the EMUI theming engine unable to edit those chat bubbles or is there another file that I missed?
