i think is not full ready even for x2
but if you have found something share it..
x2 panels havent even been ported to the x1 yet.
The x1's panels however have been ported to the HD.
i have the X2 panel(from a pre-release test unit) - the city control - it's an animated city, and when u click on a location/building, it opens a coresponding menu and the panels menager, but i don't know if they are going to work on the rhodium. I can share them, if someone is willing to port them for the TP2 A have unbranded TP2 , but didn't find the time to test the panels on it, but they are working on X1i for shure
here you go:
the mannager: http://www.4shared.com/file/134595575/eabd34f0/PanelManager_R33.html
the city panel: http://www.4shared.com/file/134595737/635b44b6/PixelCityDayPanel.html
I can give it a shot but i can't make any promises especially if the panels are as useless as they were on the x1.
pls, try them and if u have success, pls. share the result - i've added links withe the mennager and the panel, and the panel isn't useless, it's very convinient (excuse my eng )

a spy shot of the x2 i made a month ago.. and i've tried to extract some things from the os... but the panels are intact, u can use them and i hope they'll work on our tp2's
I'm not seeing a download link... I've seen the panels in action on a review before but I can't say they are useless until i use them. What i would need is a full dump of the xperia x2 ROM

here are the DL links, my previous post man, a dump of the rom is not possible, as i dont have access to this unit anymore, it went back to the manifacturer..
Oops missed that lol.. I assume these have been tried on the rhodium and it didn't work?
***EDIT****
I already see two problems. Two of the dlls aren't present. FlashPanel.dll and SEMCFlashAPI.dll
i can try to get them, but i'm not shure in this
I'll try and find it as well.

I'm not sure if the x1 has the missing dlls.
I think Ark released one...but not sure if it is fully working or not.
http://htcpedia.com/forum/showthread.php?t=357
These look like X1 panels.. I'll look in the cabs and see if it has the missing dlls.
maybe if you can get a full dump or copy your rom and hand it over t an experienced chef like itje the we could move this forward on the x1 (sice they'll be the most demand for the new panel manager there) and then get itje to cook it into some of his rhodium roms that way we could really move this forward
If I had a full dump i could cook it into a Rhodium ROM. The problem is we don't have a dumb. I have no doubt that when a dump exist itje will probably be one of the first to get it.

Hi, been home from work on a sick leave all day, and being bored to death started looking at the possibilites of perhaps making Manila2D available on the X1 (Portrait-mode only though)!
Instructions goes like this.
1. First, install the latest version of Manila2D. It can be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=398173
Follow the instructions found on that page.
2. Next, install the VGA-update made by pijulius, everything explained here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=429224
(the file you're looking for is the last link in the first post).
3. Go to Settings -> Today and uncheck the TouchFlo-plugin.
4. After you have done that, download my file, extract HTCHomeSettings.xml and move it to the Windows-folder of your device.
Go back to the settings for Today and check the box for TouchFlo. Voilá, working.
If your ROM is not WWE, but perhaps Swedish or something, you can follow the instructions in the last answer of this post, this will fix alot of problems you might otherwise encounter:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2691419&postcount=2741
Thank's to: Herg62123/others for Manila2D, pijulius for the VGA-version, darth maximus for his QWVGA-version that taught me alot, and ababrekar for the HTCHomeSettings XML-tutorial.
Will continue to work on this to see if I perhaps can improve it somehow
Screenshots:
Oh, the background image is taken from a QVGA-Manila2D-theme and resized to WVGA-size, renamed hh_fw_background.png and put in the windows\manilagfx-folder.
Bet it looks awesome on that screen.
Good job!
Great!
I really want my X1 - NOW!
Oh my!!! That is nice.
Can you make Manila2D work on one of the panels? Or does it remove panels?
I suppose the next step would be to get the new version of Manila from the Touch HD.
Hehe I'm unfortunately not that good This is a today-plugin for the Microsoft Today-screen, which is one of the panels!
Yeah, hopefully we'll get a version that's made for WVGA from the Touch HD when it's released!

Which prototype do you have and how well does it perform .. panels and touchflo interface?
Would be good knowing on what the final device will be capable of.
Sorry I havent answered..been too busy trying to figure out this xml-thing! I have a 256 MB RAM-prototype..obviously I love it, wonderful phone! Even better now with the Manila2D up and running!

How's it handling the panels and overall performance with the 256 mb?
Any bugs you've noticed? How's the keyboard?
Did you add this as a new panel along side the other panels or you completely remove xperia panels?
and could you try TFL3D next time wonder how the speed is going to be with the 380mb ram version

Even with 256MB and the latest ROM X1 is fast enough. The keyboard is OK, I can make comparison only with E90 and TyTN, but I think that X1's is better.

This isn´t a new panel or something, its a today-plugin that runs on the "standard" today-screen, which also happens to be one of the panels!
Unfortunately there isn´t any good versions of TouchFlo 3D out yet!
Any idea if it will work on other WVGA devices, especially Toshiba G900? As far as I know G900 has only 128 mb ram so that may be a problem.
Doesn't work on my G900, cycles message "Tap here to launch Touch 2D... Launching Touch 2d... Tap here to launch Touch 2D"

If you just install Manila2d (without the VGA-icons and without my HTCHomeSettings.xml), does it work then?
I installed non-HTC device patch, and now it's working. It's quite fast.

Hi
I see the TF3D from the Touch Hd has been cab'd and is running on the X1 (mine included)... but has anyone (point me if i'm being blind) started to port the X1 panels ready for the Touch HD>??
That would be funky!!!
come on guys... someone must have thought about it...
I got a X1 that i can dump from ... but just needs a chef to 'massage' it into a touch HD .. screen and res is the same.. made by the same.. so should be easy/easier???
Porting the panels to a TouchHD would be a lot different than importing TF3D to an X1. TF3D is just a today screen shell/plugin. The panel interface doesn't do that..you would literally need to dump and install the entire X1 rom onto a touch HD and replace whats there now.

Nope, not correct.
Why its "easier" with tf3d is because HTC is making the roms with packages now, rather then dump it all in OEMAPPS etc...
The panel can be extracted as well, but thats not a task im gonna do..Im rather gonna remove it totally when I get a fully working kitchen, hard-spl etcetc..
Hello,
I need help here .. I'm new in this forum.
So I couldn't decide which one is better TF3DHDB2 or Manila ?
There is lot about it here, I read most of it .. and now I'm confused.
should I install TF3DHDB2.cab ? or Touch-IT_Blackstone_Manila_HD_FULL ? to get the most performance and functionality.
and is there a Beta 3 or final version of TF3DHD ?
Thanks
I think, it`s both the same.

No, they are not. Darran did some change and some functions (e.g. AVRCP) could work
So which one ?
dunno, just extracting the German version from an HD build and see how well it worx on my x1
with Manilla i allways had problems with this darn Album. lagging like hell and keep freezing my phone.
Stick with itje's Touch-IT version. I had both versions and Daran's was slow and buggy. (sorry Daran)
I found itje's a bit buggy too (sorry itje ).
Eventually I came to the conclusion that TF3D probably isn't going to run perfectly on an Xperia whatever these guys do with it (geniuses though they may be).
I hope one day they will prove me wrong - and no doubt others will claim that I'm already wrong...
Just to let you know...I was almost giving up using TF3D on the xperia until I found a great fix. It's floating round on these forums, but it consists of disabling TF3D from the Today screen, creating a panel, and then loading TF3D in the panel.
I don't know if this is old news, but I applied the fix and NOT ONE SINGLE CRASH in three weeks...which is fantastic compared to the original Touch-it TF3D crashing twice per day. I'm not sure if it applies to all TF3D versions, but I ran the fix on the latest 3.01 Touch-it ROM.

I agree cos I stopped using TF3D after a while and I no longer want to use that in my Xperia as I rather use softwares like SPB Pocket Plus with Inesoft Software.

hey, my xperia crashes every now and then but only while changing the panels. but not always. is this the same problem as u were facing.
and one more thing, i heard that using TF3D as panels slows down things. is that true in ur case?

Here is a marvelous threaded app, i'd love to have this on my ELFin, take a look.

i dont think this works without tf3d2
which elfin/vogues cant run cuz they dont have a 3d driver or whatever
so i dont think its possbile.. hopefully soemone can prove me wrong!
that would be great! but i dont think is possible...
very hard i think
As soon as Nfsfan and Whosdaman gets done finishing up a few things,
then it will be possible to have tf3d2 on vogues
and everything esle that the diamond2 and touch pro2 can have on it.
For more details, and updates, go to ppcgeeks vogue upgrades section,
and check out the OpenGL thread.
As for the Elfin, not sure if you could use the same files...that would be a question for Nfsfan or whosdaman as they are workin on the project.

Gents, I guess this is embedded in Manila 2.1.
At least, since I have M2.1 on my HD, I have this functionality !
htc mega has some sort of messaging enhancement, problem is i haven't found a way to make it run yet...
hope you'll able to find it how it works ...can't wait to see it
scratch what i just said...its a simple contact manager...has images for more but aint used...
There's a Rhodium skin for SMS-Chat on here. The skinner did an excellent job and it blends right in with everything else. If it's worth $15 to you, that is.
Yes click in my sig for HTC style skins for SMS-Chat. It's definitely the best SMS app we have right now, only problem is it can't be made your complete default SMS app, but it does have its own notifications. However they don't always show up for me for some odd reason, could have something to do with lock or WM6.5.
This one for TF3D looks incredible though, best looking SMS I've seen on any WM device.

thanks for this!
is this like a replacement for sense ui?
Workable on other devices?
May i know would this home plugin work for Omnia II wm6.5 stock rom or it will face the problem of permission? Thank You.

Its work great on my TP2 WM6.5 B23504 , great work.
- Like the facebook app very match, to me it much better than the m$ one, cool.
- RSS reader shows rss on screen, really nice.

Maybe you should create a programs file folder, and copy PM stuf to it.
I may give this a try. Before I do, does anyone know if this uninstalls fully and without problems if you want to get rid of it?
Also, will anyone bother making panels that work on the TP2 for this?
I tried to install the app, however i still get the error message, it says about permission or you have component missing. I have installed it in order, and then the panels.
May i know how to solve this permission problem. Thanks
