after installed it on my t-mobile mda n' passed several difficult trouble on radiostack, this os such a great thing that i expect to figure on my pda. but, later i realized that the os didn't fit my expectation when its began to erase my files on the sdcard 'misteriously'.
a thing that make me become so so bad, the size of files doesn't match with the used area on the card, what kind of trouble is this? they erased my files but the space didn't change..
is there any idea to get my files back before i'm goin' to format it?
how to avoid it in the future?
thx for read it..
The only way to avoid it is to write protect the memory card by moving the slider switch to lock position.
slider switch...
thank's for ur answer, it migth be useful, but can you point the position of the slider? whether it's.on the pda or on memory? l'm using visipro mmc 256mb, n' i don't see any slider on lt.
thx.

Yes, but how? I have it on my PPC and when I click it, it says: "There is no applicationassociated with SD_FIX (working)". Run the application first then open the file from within the application".

Sorry, I forgot to advise you to install Registry Editor Program on your PPC first. (e.g. PHM Reg edit)
hi,
it's quite good, i alo thought that but i had installed "regeditce" prog so the file doesn't associate .
I'd installed the PHM as u mentioned above and ran the SD_fix but it didn't react (install or import..ect), it just opened the PHM program. Hence, i dont know whether it's imported to the registry or not now i'm waiting and hope the problem will be solved.
Thank you all
Unfortunately, it doesn't work well, after running that file, i installed two programs on storage card (HandMap and E-dictionary). Then I tried to soft reset and my MMc card was erased. oh, what can i do now ?

Sorry sonie_vespie I can’t help you better than I did.
Where is the SD_fix.reg file
Hi,
How can I get the SD_fix.reg file? Thanks
hi,
the file is above
I think that the .reg file is exported form a key in REGISTRY, but when i run it, it isn't imported to the defined key exactly so the card is still erased
Help me, thanks 'coz i like the 4.01.16 of T-Mobile
hi all,
Let use "Resco registry" to import SD_fix to Registry. It's okay now

Hi Everybody,
Today I have simply tried to have a look at my recent photo's but apparently the standard picture viewer doesn't start up. How can this be screwed up, it sits in the ROM, isn't it ? Maybe it has an INI or other config. file which is corrupted/missing ?? I was trying to search the forum for such a problem, but nothing found...
Please give me a hint if you can.
This is ONLY a hint because I have a Wizard...O2 XDA Mini S...and my Pics and Videos viewer stopped working. I eventually discovered it was because I'd installed the Eten dialer on my phone.
Don't know how this may help but hope it gives some clue.
iainmann,
Thanks for the hint but unfortunately it is not my case.. Other idea anyone ?
Good if you could list out the recent installed software

If youre tapping on the program icon and its not starting then try searching for the actual program (Normally in \windows), and try launching that way.
If youre tapping on a picture and its not starting then have a search on the web for some kind of file association program - perhaps the photo file extension has become dis-associated from the picture viewer.

Hard reset?
Start "Explorer", go to "/windows" and find "pimg" file. Try to start it. If it won't run, then you got virus (or bug

first of all: thanks for all the replies, just to summarize what I did already:
1. I have tried to launch the "pimg.exe" directly - the same thing (nothing) happens.
2. Hard reset - no way ! The problem is not the kind where I would consider a hard reset. I have installed a free picture viewer for the time beeing.
3. I have the "jpg" files associated with "pimg" in Resco explorer, but it didn't make any difference.
If somebody would still come up with a new idea, I would really appreciate :? .
If the program won't start I would check that the program hasn't been overwritten. With Resco make sure that it has a tick in the "In ROM" box in Properties. If not, delete it and the ROM version will be restored.
With File Associations you have two registry keys for each filetype.
HKCR\.jpg - pointing the extension to the filetype and handler
HKCR\jpegimage - telling the OS which icon and program to use for the file.
Other entries exist too like HKCR\.jpeg, for the same file with different extension, and HKCR\jpegfile which is empty on my device.
The HKCR\jpegimage\Shell\Open\Command on mine is (Default) = pimage.exe "%1"
Is yours any different?
Resco has a built in viewer for images and other file types, which you can set as the default action when you click a file.
Hope this helps.
PReDiTor,
Thanks for the hints, I went through the points but nothing suspicious found. I have set now Resco's internal viewer as photo viewer, so I will leave the proble for now. Let's see further after the next hard reset....
its a dll file that is screwing up..
search up the thread on saman's wm5 new menu and there is a dll switcher there..
Hello All,
I decided to start a my own thread for this script because I had an update for it.
I wrote this script some time ago and I've been using it for a while now. I thought I was the only one who wanted random gifs, guess not
Below is a MortScript I wrote, it will choose a random file in a directory of your choosing and set it to the S2U2 background every 2 hours.
Installation:
Download the attachment and extract the S2U2_Wallpaper.mscr file and copy it to your device in your \My Documents\ folder.
Then just run it and it will do the rest.
(*) It puts its next run in the "Notification Queue", so it should remain there even after a Soft-Reset. It does on my device anyways. MortScript is great!
Customization:
To change the directory: edit Line 7
To change how often you want the images changed: edit Line 9
Make sure you copy this to your My Documents folder on the device mem and run it. Then it'll change randomly for you.
Currently I have it set up to choose gifs and jpegs, but you can change that in Line 7, in theory
Enjoy and pass it on to others!
- chis
UPDATE:
I noticed that if my script runs to change the wallpaper for S2U2 AND I have S2P running, both programs freak out. So, I added a check to "postpone" the wallpaper change if S2P is runnng.
Thanks!! I've been looking for this my whole life !! (well actually when I started using S2U)

Just copy the zip attachment and extract the file inside to your device in the "My Documents" folder and run it. Thats all
@All - I uploaded the file here, the upload issue on the forum looks to be resolved! Yay!
Hey I've been using it for a while; sometimes it works smts it gives an error (see image below). I tried reproducing the problem but it seems to be VERY random. ... sometimes it goes through 3-4 cycles max and changes the wallpaper and then gives the error, sometimes after attempting first cycle it gives the error.
I have a t-mo Wing running WM6 , any suggestions?
thanks
Error should be fixed
Hi salahnajm,
I've uploaded a new script with hopefully a fix. I changed with way the script is inserted into the notification queue to run.
Let me know if this helps. Thanks for the report!

Hmm, I'm sorry this error occurs. I havent seen it on my device (also a Wing WM6). I tried changing the way its inserted into the Notification Queue, but that was having a problem and it wasn't loading right. I changed it back to the original way it was working and I'm going to work on this issue and see if it happens to me.

How often do you have it changing your wallpaper? I have mine set to every 4 hours, i ran it for about a day with it changing every 30 min, I've never seen that error. do you have the latest MortScript? I'm running v4.1. Do you have MortScript installed to your device memory?
yes I have mortscript version 4.1 on my device memmory. is there a way to know if and which script is running? ill try it again and see if it works and what happens (i have a feeling im clicking on the script several times, could that b the reason?)

That could definitely be the problem. The script could take a while to run depending on the number of files in the folder you have. the script runs in the background and doesn't have any notifications pop up cause its supposed to change the wallpaper by itself.
You could check if its running by making another quick script with:
Code:
If(ScriptProcExists("S2Us_Wallpaper.mscr" eq TRUE)
Message("Script its running")
EndIf

The MSCR file that you opened and copied the code from is the MortScript. You have to have MortScript installed in order for it to run, though it won't help you much, its designed to work for S2U2 by A_C, not the other one.
Could anyone tell me if a script like this one could work for changing the wallpaper of the home screen as well? I am new to the MortScript world but it seems like it would just need a few adjustments to the code but I can't get it to work.

I use WLM 10.6.0053.1000 and somehow my emoticon screen going weird like in the screenshot... I reinstalled, redownloaded from live site but seems like the emoticon won't show up for unknown reason.
I tried to check if there is any missing files but all files are OK.
Registry check also OK.
I'm using WM6.1 official v1.77 i-Mate 9502.
Please help me how to restore those emoticons....
Anyone? No one know the solution?
Arghhhh.... No answer and no one can answer.... >,<
Seems like the files are missing. Where did you install it, on the device, flashdisk or storagecard? I'd browse for the files first and see if I could find them.
Btw, I think this post might get moved since it aint really a post that belongs in this forum
Umm, maybe but I don't know what files are required to display that emoticon.
Yesterday I reinstalled the WLM (downloaded from live site http://mobile.microsoft.com/live/en-us/mobile/default.mspx).
For installation, it didn't give any option, it's all automated and installed in the device (precisely in the Windows folder).
But FYI, I checked the installation using SKTools and Pocket Mechanic, the installation is OK..
No files missing and registry are intact. Maybe other files (the system files) are missing? or some registry keys are missing?
Thanks for your help... ^^
I'll be waiting for your info for restoring the emoticon... ^^

Hi Guys,
I'm using the Dusk theme and bars etc.. Once I'd installed I noticed that the Pop Out scroll bar had vanished. This I thought was an extremeeeeeely useful setting....
So I hard reset and dumped the today reg from HKCU, after a little messing about figured that I'd just import the reg keys from the original settings. Here are the keys

I'm sure there is a genius in here that could turn this into a cab. Otherwise, copy the text save in a text file add "Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00" as the first line of the text file.
Rename as a .reg file. Import with your preferred reg tool.
In recent posts I've been berated for my efforts to help. I'm no genius, but I have tried this and it's working on my o2 device.
BACKUP BEFORE TRYING. EITHER THE REG ENTRIES OR THE ENTIRE DEVICE
Hope this helps someone
remove .txt from the attached file.
BIG Thanks to johncmolyneux for the cab.
It doesn't work for me. I changed the theme to one of the other pre-installed ones and set the registry values as described above, but there was no change (after a soft reset).
I have made a cab file, but I'm not gonna upload it till we know why it didn't work and I've fixed it.
Did you import all of the values or change a few?
I tried the change a few initially and all I got was the original original (i.e.wm5) scrollbar.
When I imported the file in the first post it worked. These were the only changes that I'd made.
Do you have the original ROM?
The Pop out images are in the windows directory named "01THUMBxxx"

The Dusk theme isn't one of the pre-installed themes is it? Did you try it with one of them?
I didn't..... I only used the HTCBlack theme (Which I think it set by default).
I therefore also don't know if the Pop Out Bar is present in the other themes.
I'm going to do a backup and try another theme.
Confirmed working on the DVF Green Theme
