can somebody tel me how to clean the main camera from dust ?
the dust is in the camera later i will post picture of it
thx!
here is the picture the black line and pixels are the dust
none to help ?
If dust is on inner side of lens, the only way I can think ofaccessing this to clean it, correct me if I'm wrong would be to take the HD apart to get at the camera lens. Obviously this would void warranty. If you are talking about outer side, then you could possibly use an ear cleaner
My guess would be that it's a sealed unit (ironic description for something that isn't well sealed)....you probably need to replace the whole lens.
i m having same problem with the htc hd....any1 has any solution ?

EDIT: I'm not talking about the battery cover. I'm talking about the glass (when you remove the cover) that covers the lens.
I don't know how this happened, probably a pencil in my pocket, but the glass that protected the camera sensor broke. It can't focus anymore without the lens.
Anyone know where I can buy a replacement?

Pretty sure it doesn't matter, considering I can take the back of my phone off and it'll focus. It's just a little thin piece of plastic to protect the camera.
There's no real lens involved.

Call HTC and ask for a replacement battery cover. When they ask why, tell them your battery cover squeaks a lot and doesn't fit correctly.
I got a new one for free.. fixed my squeak problem too.
Was gonna say, I couldn't focus mine lately, then i realised I had touch to focus on (latest CM6 nightlies include it) so I had to touch the screen to focus it then take the pic, if you know it's the glass then ignore me...

Same thing happened to me
anyone know how to order a new one?
Hmm, if you're talking about the square glass piece under the battery cover, it looks to me like its just a thin layer of plain glass, like a slide cover for a microscope. But under it you can see there seems to be an actual convex lens which most likey works with another internal lens. If you cant get focus im betting it because something pressed hard enough that it damaged the aperture or an internal lens. You prob need to send it back for repair. Im guessing your aperture is f'ed though.

Same thing happened to me. Just remove it and you'll be fine. I'm not sure what its function is though, but I believe all HTC lens use the same cover, so you can probably find a broken G1 or something and switch it from there. If you decide to do that, be very careful when you remove it, as it's very fragile.

Get one of these and install it. Problem solved.
Though I'm not sure how you managed to break the glass behind your battery cover
Hello. Does anyone know of a way to replace the glass cover of the camera in WILDFIRE. Does anyone know whether the item is replaceable?
Thank you for any answers
you have solved your problem already?
When I take a picture with my wildfire it always comes with fog. And the glass of the camera is very grating
Greetings
I doubt you can replace the camera cover glass in your Wildfire without risking damage to the camera. It will also void your warranty. The camera cover glass seems to be secured to the internal casing with a metal cover that I won't risk removing unless anybody has done so and has been able to use the camera again without regression.
Find this link about using polishing to remove scratches from the lens.

I have just tried this with Brasso and a screen cleaning cloth that came with the screen protectors.I can not believe the difference in photo quality. The lens has a coating over them if you look a the lens with a magnifying glass it had scratches all over lens. Now the glass is crystal clear again.Hope this helps you..
(If you have scratches or cracks on the lens itself then this is a different matter)
There is any way to avoid dust on camera lens ?
I was getting blurry and foggy picture and I found out that the camera lens was covered of dust.
Only cleanup
take a cotton bud and clean it
just clean it up
Yes, they're right, make sure you carry a cotton bud with you everywhere you go.......................
this is a funny question.
Does anybody have a protecting glass in front of the camera lens?
The question is not so funny. Because it is very disturbing always having dust on the lens when you need it! In my HD Mini there is only a hole and behind the hole is the lens 5mm deep inside. Is that normal? I think there is a protecting glass missing to prevent dust going into the hole. Does anybody have a protecting glass in front of the camera lens? Maybe, that it is a production failure in some HD Minis?

Yes, it's normal - by design.
So cotton bud is the best option by now
So, dropped my Note 3. Visual inspection it looked fine, but the lens is definitely broken on the camera itself (Not on the body of the phone) and the photos look like there is a spider on the phone.
I looked up the camera for the phone, doesnt seem overly expensive. How hard to replace is this? How likely am I to destroy the phone while trying to fix this?
It is a relatively easy fix. I had the same issue with my camera an a $12 replacement and disassembling/replace/reassembling of the phone did the trick.
Good luck!
Cheers,
B.D.

Do you mean the rear facing camera or front? The front facing camera would require a new screen glass which is NOT an easy fix. The rear facing camera would be much easier. You need to remove all the back cover screws then pry up lightly with the S-Pen to pop the cover up. There is one place by the power button that needs to be pried up with something like a guitar pick. once the cover is off you will need to bend the retaining tabs of the lens and it comes right off. When you say "inner lens" I'm not sure what you mean. I doubt you actually cracked the lens of the camera either front or rear but once the back cover is off, both of these are easily removed. A replacement of either on can be found on eBay for cheap.

The picture below shows the tabs which need to be bent up to replace the rear facing camera lens. the tabs are under the green tape

So I got an X727 this past Thursday, and I accidentally set it on a table too hard with the stock case on and, well, the camera lens cracked. It's not across the sensor, but I know it's a matter of time before it spreads and the rear camera becomes unusable.
How difficult is it to replace the rear camera lens? Where can I find a replacement?
Thank you in advance ?
My camera lens has a crack across the sensor now; when aiming towards light reflections of said light reflect all across the image.
I'm desperate, someone please help!
Figured out that the lens can be replaced without removing the rear housing.
Still, though, where can I find replacement lenses?
Will a tempered glass camera lens protector be suitable as a replacement lens?
