I cracked the outside glass - myTouch 3G, Magic General

I dropped my Mytouch today and the glass spider cracked.. The touch part still works and the screen looks fine, just the outer glass is broken ( I Hope)..
Is this just a protection item and part of the case? Or is it part of the digitizer?
I looked on egay but did not see anything for it..
thanks.. I have to suffer with my Pro 2 now.

Cracked top glass.

So today, after owning my S3 for 6 days, I dropped it on the cement and the top glass cracked. Everything works still, just it looks terrible.
Is there any way to replace only the too glass? Or does the entire LCD/digitizer need to be replaced?

As for how to do it, look at YouTube or around the net for instructions.

No dont waste your money buying the glass. The glass is useless, the LCD screen and Touch screen digitizer along with the glass are all one piece fused together. There is no way you can just get the glass and think of replacing it, you will break you LCD and get no where. You need to order one of the full LCD with Touch screen digitizer assembly.

[Q] Galaxy S4 - Cracked Glass or LCD ?

Hey everone. I bought a Galaxy s4 recently about two weeks ago. I love this phone alot and had not bought a screen protector or a cover yet (boy was that a mistake). One day will walking my dog, I was talking to a friend. The phone was on my ear. Suddenly, my dog jerked really hard and the phone fell out of my hand. The glass is cracked, well more like shattered. Im not very good with phones and would like to ask if it is Cracked Glass or Cracked LCD ? The phone turns on and works perfectly like the first day I bought it. The touchscreen also works on top of the cracked glass. I have seen some LCD's on Ebay for around $200 which I cant afford. But when I searched " Samsung Galaxy s4 Glass " I came up with some results that were far cheaper. So does anyone know what it is ? Cracked Glass or Cracked LCD ? And if it is cracked glass or lcd, where can I find a replacement for cheap (I live in the U.S.). Thank you all.

From my understanding the amoled display and glass are glued together as a unit, if either one is cracked you must replace the whole screen
Yep unfortunately you must get the whole front panel replaced.

Tempered Glass Screen Protector Removal Screen up the screen

I would like to share my experience and I think this case is not just can happen to Sony Z2 although this happen on my Z2.
I bought a tempered glass screen protector installed and after about 2 week, I removed the screen protector. It left with "watermark" in the inner layer of the LCD screen and later the screen became not responding to touch. I have to send the unit to Sony repair center.
The name of the Tempered Glass Screen Protector I bought was:
RetinaGuard 視網盾 Sony Xperia Z2 眼睛防護 防藍光玻璃保護膜
Bit Worrying!!!

Well that sounds a bit worrying....def caused by the Glass Screen, not water getting into the phone somehow?? Be interesting to hear if anyone else has taken off their glass screen & had any problems
I bought mine and slapped a spigen glas.tr. screen protector and had it one for about 3 -4 weeks. Had to replace the protector cuz one of the corners accidentally lifted and got some dust underneath. Pulled it off with no problems and threw a new one on. Reading Op's post I can't see how the phone could get a "watermark" unless there was moisture present. Sounds like the phone was in a area that caused condensation to occur inside. I highly doubt any screen protector would cause this.

It is internal LCD peeling look like watermark, and nothing to do with water or watermark.
Some bad TG SP adhere too strongly to LCD and removing of it cause damage to the LCD

Replace front glass only ?

Hi everyone !
I dropped my Samsung S10+ last weekend and the front glass broken, but the screen are working fine.
I know that this kind of damage are not covered by Samsung warranty, so I checked with some local repair shop.
No one seem to replace just the glass, their replace the screen and the glass together, this mean, a expensive reparation cost.
I asked them why their don't replace only the glass, but I only receive anwser like 'We don't replace glass, we change the screen who come with the glass"
Do you know why their won't replace the glass only ?
I seen on Amazon some front glass at only 40$ CAD with tool, UV adhesive and lamp. I confortable to do it myself. I watched some videos, but seem that everyone dissasemble the phone completly to change the glass on the screen.
Why not just removing the glass directly ?
Thank you for your anwser !
I think it is because the oled panels in this phones are so thin that separating the front glass from them would break them.
