Anyone have a working link for Amon Ra’s Recovery Image? The one I have through rapidshare is not working.
which one do you need?
the HTC one or the google one?
i have the G version.
i renamed it to recovery, but the original name was recovery-RAv1.2.1G.img
it seems i can't upload it from my work computer.
if nobody has upped another copy of it for you by the time i get home, i will attach it for you.
assuming of course that you need the G version.
Yeah I need the G version. Thanks!
sorry.
it won't let me upload it from home either.
not sure why. the zip file is only 3mb, the limit is 8mb.
i just tried the rapidshare link and it is working.
maybe try it again?

EDIT: make sure you follow the link by clicking on it. don't right click and save target as because it won't work.

I was trying to download RUU German Rom from Wiki to resolve my bricked P4350. However, as I was trying to download from the linked file host site, the file didn't come up. It just kept demanding me to type the text from the image, which was ineffective.
Could someone please give me other links to the file?
Thank you in advance!!

I uploaded it, and tested the download again, it's still working, you probably did something wrong.
What Link?
Downloading now bc I've killed the phone while attempting the upgrade to WM6.
Will post if it doesn't work...

I have a G1, and I tried to get root. I downgraded to RC29, and then downloaded the recovery.img file and the Hard SPL, downloaded telnet and all that, then tried to flash the spl as update.zip to the phone using the recovery console (i think that's what it's called, i pressed home+power to get there). it keeps giving me an error message "E:No Signature (26 files) E:Verification failed". i tried to download another one, and it gave me the same message. i've been looking for a solution for six hours and nothing helped ;( anyone think they can help me?
Did you try editing the zip in any way? Did you extract it/etc? You need to take the downloaded zip, rename it update.zip, and put it on the sdcard. Do not change any files in it or extract it. Hell, don't even open it.

Doesn't sound like you're using the SPL update.zip. That updater only contains one file.
@gary13579 the only thing i did to the zip was rezip it, cos my mac automatically unarchives everything when i download it.
@jashu do you know anywhere i can get the SPL? i downloaded it from the post on this forum..

That would be the problem. You're going to have to find a way to download it without unarchiving it.
There's a "signature" added to all updates, which tells the phone whether it's a legitimate update or not. When you re-archive it, it loses that signature.
Hey guys
The volume rocker on my HD2 is broken, and I have cLK flashed on my device. My problem is that I can only boot into cLK and fastboot mode as recovery is useless to me because I cant navigate through the options using the volume rocker.
I am looking for a rom (android/winmo) that is a .img file so that I can flash through fastboot, or if any of you know any other possible way I can flash a rom through fastboot so I can get my phone working again. Right now I dont mind which rom I flash, as long as I get my phone in working order again.
All help is GREATLY appreciated....!!!
If anyone also knows how I can compile a rom into a .img file so I can flash through fastboot, that is also welcomed help!
Any ROM you download that is for cLK has a. img file in it. you will have to extract the file from the. zip hou download to find it. Read my post here it will give youthe details on how to flash your ROM.

Hey bud, thanks for the reply, but my question still remains... what about the other 2 folders in the rom folder (META-INF and SYSTEM) what happens with those? lol....

Sorry for the late response but those two files do get used, the img file oules the information from them as it is flashing. To put it simply when you initiate the flash the img does the rest of the work. The img file is sort of like a cab file for Windows Mobile only it is not all self contained and has more functions than just to install the software. Note I said sort of not exactly like, that is just a comparison to help you understand. When you flash a Android ROM via CWM it essentialy just activates the img file to flash the ROM.
Daf roms come as a system.img
or
if you have access to another hd2, flash the target rom to it and then use mkyaffs2img command in the terminal to dump the system folder to a system.img file.
Benefit of this would be you can tweak the rom(reduce size for example, by removing unwanted apps) before you dump to system.img

Thanks for getting back to me buddy! Unfortunately I dont have a second HD2, and I dont know anyone willing to help me out in Greece, lol... Would you be willing to dump your system folder for me and upload it so I can use yours?? I would GREATLY appreciate the help... sitting with my HD2 "semi" bricked... lol
Also, if I use the .img file from the DAF roms, can I flash it using fastboot??? You have any suggestions on how I can flash it considering I cant use the volume rocker on my mobile?
Well id like to say yes but it's Easter weekend and my sons 1st birthday tomorrow, so the likelihood of getting near a PC are slim for a few days.
You could always learn how to use the android emulator,, build the image on a virtual hd2
As for flashing,,, no idea, no clue what fastboot does, magldr for me, but in your OP you implied you could use it to write img files to partitions.
You ever got a solution for this? I'm in the exact same situation right now.
If anyone can give me the recovery.img and the boot.img of the a2017u b29 I would be so greatfull. Please I need help. My phone shows the boot screen but goes straight to a black screen. My computer detects it however.
Just download the official firmware from zteusa, extract the desired partitions and flash via fastboot or twrp shell (dd).
I would but it says the entity is too large to upload? and i cant mirror it to mega because mega states ive never had an account -.-

What? Too too large to upload what? You download it direct from zteusa's site. Extract the update.zip file, then extract whatever partition images you need from the update.zip.
