No. I don't want to lock my device.
I want sometimes to use it like ppc only without phone mode, by pressing a shortcut (not hard button).
I don't want to go to Comm Manager to setting off the phone mode from there.

Is there any way to start phone (to make call), when phone is off, just by pressing the PHONE hard button ?
Thank you.
where is the softkey?
if i got it right u might need a regedit to wake up ur phone with any hardware key else the power button (including the answer key which will start the phone dialing window)

i believe that would do.
I use AE Button Plus and it works PERFECT , u can configure every Hardbutton at the Device where u would to do what u want.
For example: I use the hangup Button (the Red Button) press normal one times for that he is make (hang up) and press the Button twice it comes another programms NOW Screen (SPB MobileShell). And... it works great

how to assign "hold down red (hangup) button"?

I want to assign "lock device and screen off" to "hold down red (hangup) button". I have tried a couple of different ways but whenever I press and hold it to indicate to the key control app what button I want to define, it just goes to the quickmenu choices for shutdown - it doesn't capture it at all. Is there any way to do this? Alternatively it would be great to just have it default to lock device and turn screen off (like it used to do) when I hold down the hangup button. Something made that behavior change recently and I can't figure out how to set it back.

just press the end call button. or you can go to start>settings>personal>buttons then set it to where one of the hardware buttons takes you to home.
Long Press End Key has 2 different tabs under Settings/Button. One on the settings application itself and another one under "program buttons". The one on the settings application itself overrides whatever I put into "Programs Buttons" for long hold of end key. Any ideas?

you can always try to use advanced configuration tool heres a link http://www.pocketpcfreeware.mobi/download-advanced-configuration-tool.html or AEBplus http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-ae-button-plus-v2-3-1.html use at your own risk though. you might not be able to change the the panel button but i know you can change the OK long press, volume up and down, or your camera button tell me how it works out and good luck.

Well - i did it the stupid way, just renamed the application to PanelManager.exe and put it under Program Files/PanelManager ---- works fine it is a little tricky with the slide view because i still need it for the FM Radio and it also opens it by default for many other things live media files and missed calls, however, you can go and remove these defaults one by one...Hope this helps

I've made an alternative radio for X2. For regret, it is only pre-beta with some small bugs, but I have no time to fix them. Hope, you'll forget about SlideView like about fearful dream
