I would like to know how to install documents to go full 2.0 on my magic.
I downloaded into my pc and using an USB cable, placed it on the sd card on the magic.
Using quickoffice to open the card i cannot install documents to go. I must be doing something wrong!?
Please HELP!!!!!!

Hey guys, I need some help please.
I just got back from vacation and took a billion pictures with my Tmobile MDA and stored them all on my 1gb storage card. For some reason, I can't get these onto my computer. I've tried adding the folder to the files sync list with active sync, but I cannot choose any folder on my mobile device, let alone the storage card.
I also tried just exploring my device, which seemed like it was going to work. Once I got to the picture files in the storage card, I selected them all and copied them to the PC. It went through the motions of copying, progress bars, etc, but when it is finished, no pics on the pc! i dont even get it!
If anyone could offer up some help I'd really appreciate it, thanks.
Since i did my rom i can not sync pictures from pc to PPC and back, so i think it is something to do with the rom update
If you don't have a card reader to try, install WM5torage to use your PPC as a reader itself (make sure you disable it when your done or the phone won't be able to use the card).
Has anyone gotten their USB Tethering to work? Every time it try to use it, it keeps telling me the driver was not installed properly. I've tried to google for the driver, but come up empty handed

Make sure you install the HTC Sync software that is included on the Evo's SD Card. It should work after that.

Go to HTC website and search for HTC Sync. The latest version should be 2.0.33.

I got my HD2 with Energy's LEO Lite Rom from here, and loaded Android up.
Darkstone FroyoV1.
It's running smooth, and I'm experimenting, to get used to Android. So I wanted to transfer my sms from WM to Android.
I used this tutorial/app/guide.
So I got my sms.xml file, put it in the root of my SDcard, in a folder SMSBackup&Restore.
But I can't seem to locate the file when I use Astro.
How does Android work, since we are using a port ON the sdcard. What part of the sd does android recognize as "sdcard" and what as internal?

I had a simillar issue.. I put .apk files on my sdcard while using Android USB mass storage, Couldnt find it in there...
I rebooted Android and voillaa, there they were...

Thanks man, restarting solved the problem of not seeing files I put on it.
But for file management, I can just put everything in the root of sdcard? and order it in my own manner? like notes, music, personal files etc.?

Yes you can put anything on the root, the filemanager will see it..

Connect the phone to the PC, and connect it as storage drive
Then it acts like a normal flash drive
Do you mean click on disk drive(mount as disc drive). I tried this and nothing happens! Where do I find htc sync

Is it possible to install apps that you have put the .APK onto your SD card, onto the device? I am trying to install a program and it is trying to install on my SD and I want it to install onto the main device.
Any tips please?

After installing the program, you can go to settings>applications>manage applications
From here, search for the installed program, select it and move it to internal memory

If you just want to move it to internal storage, then do that^. If you want to make it a system app, then place the .apk in /system/app using a root explorer, fix permissions in CWM and reboot.
