Hi gurus,
I'm using a software (designed for my company) working only with netcf1.0. So i cannot use it on Wm6.1.
I have made tests and this software works well only on WM6.0 and less.
So to avoid compilation cost and time, i wish to cook a custom rom like this.
Download kaiser WM6.0 rom : important --> i dont think a WM6.0 jade rom exist
Download Jade WM6.1 rom
replace kaiser drivers with jade drivers
rebuild rom and pray
do you think this can work ?
i know, its a risky business to play with fire
waiting for your opinion about the feasibility of this process

I have XDA Orbit (same as P3300) with installed Touch Flo software.
Can I install this rom?
Quick answer is......: YES
But don't forget that you will loose all your saved personal data and your installed programs.

Prepare for really nOOb-ish question
I bought used XDA Orbit, and he has already installed WM6 Touch Flo.
What will be my next step, do I need only to install Tom-Oops-Black-v1.0-WWE?
I suppose that my XDA Orbit 02 is already unlocked
First you need to know what do you want to do...
Trying to explain to you, touch flo is just like a program installed with flo functions.
If you flash a new ROM, you must see if it has or not touch flo, wich programs it has standardly, etc.
Tom-Oops-Black-v1.0-WWE is not a program that you install... It's a ROM that you flash...
Explaining to you in another way...
Is like... You now have XP on your desktop and you want to have Vista. In the desktop case you have to install vista.
In the PDA case you have to flash a new ROM.

I have few problems with my O2 XDA Orbit
At least once a day I am unreachable. On Home Screen everything is normal, but people cannot reach me.

So RUN IT before flash the new ROM!!
Since you're going from one cooked ROM to another, flash the new ROM twice to make sure everything goes ok.
You don't need to format your SD card. BUT, if you have programs installed on it, they problably will not work.

I successfully installed Black Ops ROM.
First I run USPL and then I installed new ROM.
Everything is OK for now.
If you have more problems with network or if your battery is draining more than usual, try to upgrade your Radio ROM.
You will not loose any data upgrading your Radio ROM and can give you better reception and less battery drain.

Now I have installed 3.08.90
I recomend you to try 3.21.90. For me and for most of users is the best choice.
This doesn't mean that is the best for you, but just flash it and see if is good for you.

Hello, I have an O2 XDA Trion which has WM5 installed on. I want to know how it's possible (or which is the best software/rom) to update its operating system to 6.0 or 6.1. I searched on the forum a little but did not find too much information since I'm a newbie on upgrading roms etc.
I also wonder if my XDA Trion could have possibilty to work like HTC Touchflo. The interface of Touchflo is great. Could you please give me some links where I can download the necessary files for these and the informations that I'll be needing while I update the system.

the touchflo cube can be downloaded as a cab file from here. Basically you dont need to upgrade to wm6/6.1 to use the touchflo cube.

As for whats the best rom thats anybodys guess,o2 have officially released wm6 for the trion , have a look in the wiki there are roms listed there

i am currently trying PDACorner Pro v17 which has no touchflo cube program but that can be found here on the forums , if you specifically want the cube included, then just look for a rom with it included or do as i have already said and just install the cube as a cab seperatly

i just tried to install this rom on my unlocked td2 - it does not work. installer complains that this rom is not suitable for the phone.

Hi guys months ago my uncle gave me a Qtek S110 but it has installed WM2003, I was browsing through cotulla's website and I found a lot of ROMs
My questions are...
1-Which rom should i install?
2-Can i restore my device to the configuration that i had before?
3-Will my device run WM6.5 apps?
4-How can i improve touch sensibility?

the new rom will make your screen sensitivity better
before you install the new rom you must be sure that your radio is 1.12
if it isn't you must install it first
and yes you can return back to your originall rom

I am planing to purchase one windows mobile company called Digibee its from Bangalore-India. It has WM 6.1 version preinstalled in it.
Earlier I have HTC Excalibure to which I have flashed n mumbers of time to WM 6.5.
Now my query is, can v flash any WM 6.1 to WM 6.5.
Pl. advice.

I think you can, but first search for a 6.5 or 6.5.x rom suitable for your phone. I have a Samsung Omnia i900 which comes with WM 6.1 Pro, now I have cooked (custom) WM 6.5.3 Pro flashed on it and it's working even much better and faster than the preinstalled WM 6.1 Pro. much more memory too.
Just use the Search field for what you need
But the best thing to do is to ask the phones company is it can be upgraded, byt be ware that flashing with custom rom will erase your warranty, but I think you already know all these things cuz like you said, you've already did flashing new rom

Karan it is very good that u know coocking rom. I also have purchased this wm 6.1 DIGIBEE phone. I also trying to update it to 6.5 but .nb0 rom it is not working. I was using the GYGABYTE i120 gsmart phone & i updated it to 6.5 from 6.1 it was also working very fine. The same ROm i tried for DIGIBEE but it didnt find any ROM on SD CARD
Bythe way somebody tell us how to coock won rom. procudure???

Yes of-course you can go for it, you'll never get a windows mobile with good specs at this low price . Its performance was almost same as my previous HTC Fuze (Touch Pro), and it was running under Windows Mobile 6.1.I was searching for its stock ROM so that i can start experiment on it with other ROMs.
And many of the driver files in our digibee matches with Samsung i900 Omnia (Such as, board, processor (Marvell PXA31x), display, battery etc), and if I find digibee stock ROM then ill experiment with i900 ROMs.

Disappointed performance
I am very much disappointed with this device. I cannot load most of the apps found on the net. Installation is a problem and where installation is not a problem the battery heats up like an iron box and drains fast. I wouldnt recommend this for any one.
Under these conditions I dont think any modification like upgrading to WM6.5 will be possible.
