The Flash support is embedded in the browser I believe and not a standalone player yet. October I read on here there is some Flash news coming.

Flash Player

Currentlt have flash player 7 on my SPV M3100, is their a version 8 which would work with online sites such as youtube?
Flash Lite 3
I believe you will need the recently announced Adobe Flash Lite 3. Go to their site and they have a nice comparison between the different Flash versions. Flash Lite 3 has not yet been extracted by anyone here that I am aware of. Alternately, you could search this site and you will find solutions to viewing YouTube videos. Just use the search function. I believe it is TCMP with a Flash Video bundle. That should get you started.

Flash Player for Opera

Hey guys-
I've been searching this morning and can not find adobe flash player.
When I try and download and install from Adobe's site via Opera it's says it's not a valib Pocket PC app.
Is there a cab? or does the flash player not work with opera??
thanks
The official version of flash released by adobe is not a plugin so it will not work for Opera like the older versions did. Adobes release is a stand alone flash player for other things. I read people are using it with fewidgets and other things like that. The original flash plugin is hard to find because adobe had asked people to remove it. Google it and I'm sure you can still find it somewhere.

Flash Lite 3.1 for X1 vs Flash Player 7 vs another version of Flash Lite 3.1?

Does anyone know the differences to these confusing apps?
There has been a release of Flash Player 7 and the Flash Lite 3.1 for X1, and there is also another Flash Lite 3.1 for all PPC's.
What is the freaking difference?
For all I know, the Flash Lite 3.1 distributable player is the latest from Adobe. Flash 7 player for pocket PC was quite old. The distributable player allows over-the-air installation, at least for a few selected countries (like US, UK) initially. It currently support S60 and WM 6.1 platform. You can also download the player from:
http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/distributableplayer/
Note that this player is for playback of standalone Flash application (packaged as cab for WM and sis for S60). That is not to be confused with the Flash player that comes with Pocket IE 6 in WM 6.5 which allows viewing of Flash-based web page.
I have tested it against WM6.5 and it seemed to work fine.
Please note that the first flash lite 3 released here was not the final and was very buggy. The latest one works perfectly.
Flash lite 2.1 and Flash 7 = Flash 7 with 2.0 actionscript code.
Flash lite 3.1 = Flash 8 with 2.0 actionscript code (that includes flv support).
The main differences between lite 2.1 and 7 are a few cellphone related fscommand codes (like battery status, network status, make call, send sms, etc).
But lite 2.1 has its own player, something that flash 7 never had and lite 3.1 has "hidden". You need to customize your explorer to always open (offline) swf files with the exe available in the adobe flash directory.
PS: Both Flash lites are a little faster that flash 7, but also easier to come up with memory errors for my taste.
Also, what I meant by Flash Lite for X1, is actually Flash Lite for Opera
Someone from Adobe forums told me this:
Flash Lite is a runtime for mobile phones, that has a smaller subset of features than the Flash Player.
Probably you see Flash Player 7 for Opera because it was a version created specifically for that browser.
Flash Lite doesn't support every single Flash App that's on the Web, because as I said before it has a smaller subset of features than Flash Player.

Is this guy wrong?

Also, I have installed 3 different adobe flashes on my Xperia, and I do not want to have all three.
I have these:
Adobe Flashlite (I got this from Adobe Website)
Adobe Flash Lite for Opera (I got this from XDA forum)
Macromedia Flash Player ActiveX (aka Flash Player 6)
Which one's do I need to keep? Does anyone remember where the Flash Lite for Opera.cab came from?
Which Flash applications should I keep?
(Your informations are really helpful, and thanks...I hope to hear from more people and more answers)
The newest flash 3.1 does not work at all, it doesn't enable the youtube video player to work.
The old flash 3.1 only works with opera.
The flash player 7 is exactly like the old flash 3.1.
I tested all three using opera and internet explorer.
I tested:
youtube.com
ytmnd.com
newgrounds.com
For youtube, I had to click on "desktop" view in order to make the real youtube player visible. Anyways, no one has provided an answer that seems to make sense...
I am still confused.
Anybody can point a download link for the 'Fliash Lite 3.1 for x1'?
I want to try it but seems can not search out the download link.
Thanks.

BTW, for flash player, which one is better?
Tx.

Flash Player

I´m new with my HTC.
I can´t watch some videos over the Internet as the Page requests the latest version from the adobe flash player. Is there a flashplayer available for the Jade and Mobile 6.1
Thanks
Thread moved from ROM Development.
I use Skyfire Internet Browser and that works on most sites, including ones with Flash Videos.

Sorry for my english
You can install any Rom you like.
The best browser for flash sites is Skyfire.
