sim unlock my touch 3g - myTouch 3G, Magic General

I found a my touch 3g and i want to unlock it and use it HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPP pleas

I would suggest turning the phone in. The MyTouch is gps enabled and can be tracked in no time. Turn it in before your brought up on possession of stolen property charges! No joke with some apps you can turn on the gps with a simple text. Even with a different SIM card in it.

Wizard airplane mode on and off on its own with gophone sim

Sorry about this post but I looked everywhere. Im usualy an android guy but a friend gave me an cingular branded wizard the other day.
Now I know these phones are old.... first sign is the fact it still says singular lol.
My problem is, I have a couple old Att 3g go phone sim cards from my iphone that still have money on them and I would like to use it up. Now I know the Wizard is unlocked because My tmobile sim card works fine as soon as it boots, But I use that in my much upgraded G1.
When I put the Att gophone sims into the wizard, it shows as cingular, but every min or so, airplane mode switches on just long enought o cancel the network then it tries to find it again. over and over for both sims, neither of which are locked to any phone.
Now if it just didnt get a signal Id be fine.
But, I go into the network settings and see it switching airplane mode on and off loosing the 3-5 bar signal I get.
I guess what I want to know is do go phone sims work on wizards? did I do something wrong? is there anyway to permanently disable airplane mode as I will never use it?

Rebel Simcard Stopped Working... :(

I just got my streak this morning. I inserted the rebel simcard along with my simcard.
Voice calls were working, text messages, voicemail, etc...
I noticed a few hours later that it now displays NO SERVICE...
I tried everything, rebooting, taking out battery, taking the rebel simcard out and putting it in again, still says no service.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance...

Have you done everything it says on the rebel Sim forum there is a video and a section on there with lots of answers and do a google for your problem chances are some one has come across your problem before
I checked out the FAQ and it said to keep ROAMING DATA ON.
It WAS on at first when it was working but I turned it off since I do not use it and have to pay 50 pence everytime I connect to it!
Keeping roaming on will charge me £14 per month!
Hopefully soon they will find a way to unlock it properly, but annoying that I MUST keep roaming ON otherwise phone will not work...
my rebel sim ii doesnt work that well either - I am on optus in australia. I need an unlock code. Hopefully it will come thru when it gets released in america and china.
Cyanogen - you know u wanna

It SHOULD work. However, you have to use it in a certain way.
The Rebel sim wasn't working for me either until I followed a guide.
After I followed these instructions, the rebel sim card now works...
What you have to do is:
1. You need to place your network sim in a 2G only phone and let your simcard get network.
2. If using a 3G Model phone turn off 3G and then get network on your sim in 2G mode but this does not work for all phones as some phones even when you turn off 3G in the software functions will initalise your network sim in 3G/UMTS Mode but we need to initialise the network sim in 2G mode so try another model phone to get network in 2G then use in Dell Streak if you cant get network at all that is the reason.
3. Place in Dell streak but first make sure Dell Streak Data roaming is turned on and 3G is off
4. From Time to time you may loose network when travelling through network black spots but when stationary its not a problem.
5. When you loose network the only way to regian this is to place your network sim in a 2g only phone or a phone is 2g mode as described above and then enter back in to the Streak.

Yes i do this.but the 5 point is no good.my provider work only in 3g mode.my provider is 3.if i put in 2g mode work but i dont have data connection.
Ah ok, it's a shame...
I do not use 3g so it's not a problem for me but it's a problem at the moment for those who do!
I just looked at my phone and it now says ''no service''
One day it will work, the next it won't...
It's really pissing me off.
The rebel simcard is really unreliable, what a waste of £10...
I really do need to find a proper way of unlocking it.
I now have a phone that does not work.
Anyone have any suggestions?
This is a temporary but annoying solution to get your rebel sim working again...
I've done this for the THIRD time in 2 days...
After a few hours or a day of using your streak with the rebel sim, you will suddenly notice emergency calls or no service...
Regardless of what you do, turn your phone off and on or even taking out your simcard and reinserting it will not solve the problem.
The only solution is to get a spare phone, put your simcard in it, manually specify your network, then put the simcard along with the rebel sim back into the dell streak...
It's really stupid that I have to do this to get reception, should I of known this I would not have bought the dell or this piece of $hit rebel sim card which doesn't work properly for most people...

This has been working now for me for the last 12 hrs
Sent from my Dell Streak using XDA App
Cool, glad you got it working!
Mine has been working all day so far, around 12 hours so far, I hope it stays that way!!
ok this morning I noticed I wasn't recieving SMS's or Calls - so I rebooted and it fixed it FYI
Nothing against the method that was devised - but this phone caught me out again whilst I was out and about and dropped connection to calls / sms and 3g all at once and totally screwed me. As a result, I'm putting it back in the cupboard and getting out my G1 until an unlock code is released.
I dont understand why dont exist unlock code for streak.its impossible find other method for code?
I'm unsure why it works for some people and others it doesn't...
However, yes, it's best to get an unlock code as it will permanently work & all features/functions will work...
My Streak may stop working soon as well, who knows...
But try to do it again as I have.
I have had my streak for only 3 days and 3 times it suddenly stopped working and I got no network and I had to get another spare unlocked phone and follow the previous instructions.
Try the instructions again and see what happens.
Hi
Looks like all are using older v1.1 firmware that has some issues with Dell Streak.
However the the newer V1.2 that was released fixes anu kind of issues with signal loss

X8 Unlock for £5

OK, not strictly an unlock, more of a bypass, but it works.
The Turbo SIM I ordered from ebay works - I've got the phone using an Orange SIM now.
Needs a small hole cut in your SIM card to work with the chip on the Turbo SIM.
You need to slide the Turbo SIM in first under the SIM clip (it reverses under the clip as the chip is too big to slide under the clip) then slide the SIM card into place.
Standard Turbo SIM code works with the X8
Cost is £4.80, ebay item number is 290528060336
p.s. just to be clear - the phone is an O2 branded phone and it is certainly locked to O2
what is the code i need to enter ..if i try all the codes the seller writes i will hard lock it ... (
The person who started this thread is talking about a hardware solution, it is like a bypass solution.
It is not a code unlock method.
What is this thread about? Just change model code in build.conf and reflash it with general ROM.
But please be aware You'll lost your waranty with this.
could you be more specific about this: where is that file? how to change it etc ?
Hello, I have de x-sim and i think that works in the same way, my x-sim is programable if i put a simcard with the pin 1234 i can program the x-sim to acept diferents mobile brands and models, i have use 2 days but my xperia say all the time thar is in roaming and all must the time i cant recive any calls so if the turbo sim can bypass and if is programable can you please tell the code for the xpedia x8!?
Thanks in advance, and sorry my bad english
when i was asking for code i was asking for the pin number that i have to enter. ..the ebay seller answered me it is 0041 and now my phone is unlocked ..yes this solution does not really unlocks the phone ...but bypasses locking ...
Just change model code in build.conf and reflash it with general ROM.

yes i thought it works because it doesnt ask for the code any more ...but my friend that i gave the phone is saying that can always make calls but not recieve calls and sms .. its ok with wifi ...any other unlocking reliable service ... from the internet maybe ???
and another thing ...it shows that its roaming but not really ..its using your network right ?
yes even it shows that you are in roaming, you are not.
its strange, when i use that turbo in other device HTC- it allow me to do everything calls, 3g, data connection over 3g, but in this SE only calls and thats all
i need to use data .....
p.s i found i way to use 3g with turbo sim:
1 Put the turbo sim in other device wich support 3g
2 When it asks for Pin enter what you want, (i entered 0032)
3 Wait for device to connect in 3g and then remove the battery to immediatlly turn off
4 Put the turbo Sim in SE (but just to mention before do that you will have to check in SE options to work in 3g, WCDMA)
5 Device will be connected in 3g (but then if you change the band you will lost connection and you will have to do all the procedure again)

Dual Sim networking

Hi people,
I've searched the forum for an answer to my question, no joy so here goes on a new thread.
I recently bought myself a Chinese dual sim smart phone, named "Longhorn" (no sniggering!), but pretty sure it's better known as a STAR MTK6573. Great phone for the money, 1GB processor, all the bells and whistles. My problem is that I want to use two sim cards, one from a British network, one from a Norwegian network. Right now I'm in Norway and the Norwegian sim is working faultlessly, the British sim works when the phone is switched on first, but then after varying amounts of time the British sim drops out of service. If I turn the phone off, then restart the UK sim comes back into service but again goes off after some time, sometimes minutes, sometimes hours.
I've looked through the sim related settings but can't find a solution, and even contacted the British network operator to see if they know any answers - they don't.
I'll be going to the UK shortly so it'll be interesting to see if the Norwegian sim starts cutting service when I'm there, in the time being does anyone have any ideas for a permanent solution?
Thanks to all for reading, and musing on the problem, in anticipation.

Did you try switching the SIM-Slots ?
Are both using same freq ?
Did you used Sim-Turbo or other "perfect unlockers" ? <- im asking because after using one of those "great" inventions my SIM started to droping signal on diffrent phone (like the X-Turbo/X-Sim/Sim-Turbo) install some junk on sim...

Hi, thanks for your answer. I haven't installed any sim "enhancing" software, and the phone is brand new. Swapping the sim slots doesn't seem to make a difference, even though only one is WDMA. I think the problem is to do with roaming from my UK sim, when the signal strength drops out the sim loses service to the roaming network, but doesn't reinstate the service when signal improves.
Update
OK, so a little progress was made! The phone only has the option to set one of the SIMs as 3g. The local SIM was set as the default and therefore had the 3g setting applied to it. If I force change the 3g to the roaming SIM the roaming SIM stays in service for longer, and is more stable but still loses service periodically (at least twice a day). Any further suggestions?

OK, so I now have a working dual sim phone using two networks from two different countries. My initial headaches were all caused by the overseas network SIM. Either faulty or incompatable but after a SIM swap from the network company it now works faultlessly.

How to enable wifi calling only on one sim and full access to 4g+cellular on another?

Hi!
I have a sim card from Russian MTS operator that has wifi calling, but charges roaming as soon as their sim registers on a cell network.
Occasionally I need to use that sim to receive one time passcodes while paying for utilities bills in Moscow.
Initially, I wanted to put Russian sim into Airplane mode + Wifi and have Mint Mobile sim have full access to 4g while in use, but I understand that's not possible.
So I'd have to deactivate Russian sim and when I want to use it, Id put phone into airplane mode+wifi, activate Russian sim and let it connect to MTS via WIFI , when I'm done I'll disable it and thats how it will work?
Just turn off roaming mode for Russian MTS simcard. You don't need to use airplane mode.
Airplane mode is cutting cellular signal so the signal is not interference the plane for safety which mean no cellular data as well.
