Lots of people getting it - seems like it could be a Facebook api change if you look at that thread.

I did - still happened a couple of times but now it seems to be okay. *touchwood*
I managed to get around it...
I think it was something to do with the birthdate, so if i choose not to use that when linking... it works fine.
What does the hero use the birthdate of contacts for?
also not sure how to change the link to use birthdates / pictures except by unlinking and relinking
I've been getting this too.
I've also been trying to tidy up my contacts' names so they link to their facebook profiles. I notice many are linked, but their info and picture hasn't been added to the contact. How does this happen? I've tried to sync, but nothing is found.

Performing a factory reset via settings
The most convenient way to do a factory reset is via the phone settings.
From the Home screen, press MENU, then tap Settings.
Scroll down the screen, and then tap Privacy > Factory data reset.
On the Factory data reset screen, tap Reset phone, and then tap Erase everything
Remove Google+ 2.0
Update now to Google+ 2.1.0.216852 (Date : 31 October 2011) and android.process.acore no longer crash... ;-p

So, I've got this issue and I can't figure it out.
My Messaging app (default one, ie: MMS/Text/Email.. Pocket Outlook is it?) keeps opening up on its own, constantly.
I close it, and half a second later, it opens up again. I force close using InClose, and it opens up again. It's very annoying.
Anyone know what could cause this? Please help!

POP3, no.. but I'll double check the settings to make sure one hasn't snuck in there somehow.
Soft reset, yes.. many times.. still keeps happening

Having the same problem. Is it a virus? Is there any solution yet?
I have a similar problem. But in my device is not only with the Messaging app, all the programs keep opening like if someone was controlling the device very quickly and sometimes I can't get control of it. When I let the device in standby mode for a while the problem ends. I guess it's a virus, but I can't find anything in the internet to help me. I've tried to change the pressure thereshold of the device, but no success.
If someone has a solution for that, please letme know.

Hi There.
I am sending out this request for help here and at the forums at PCM.... here is the problem:
I use PCM for all my contact needs: SMS/MMS etc. I do not use email.
My phone was working fine up until this morning when I tried to send an sms. It failed but did not say it failed. I tried again. The message sits in the entry field. Thats it. Than all of the sudden PCM closes down. I try to reopen it. It will start than immediately shuts down. I try this several times. Same. I reset the phone. And try again the same things happens.
So I try other versions of PCM. Same result. I try deleting the cache. Same result. Each time I soft reset my phone I get a message saying that Birdysync can't start ( I use this to sync my phone with Mozilla Thunderbird) So I try Deleting birdy from my phone and soft resetting again. Same thing!! I have a notification that I have an unheard voicemail, so I listen to it. that notification WILL NOT go away. I have no voice messages but the phone will not release the notification. I used the little program "Check notifications" I cleared all dupes and as it clears it will just run continuously until I stop it.
I just used "PIM Back up". I am hoping that this will back up all my sms messages will it?
Oh, also, the phones built in messaging app won't even start.
I have an HTC Wizard with winmo 5. Factory os. No mods except new software. Everything was running fine until this morning I have added no new software, and have made no changes in any way to the phone..
Any ideas before I hard reset this thing...I really hope I don't have to.

Try doing a reset.
I have tried that and i get it back but when i restore my backup i lose it again
I would say that your mailbox is corrupt and as soon as the today plugin for the messages tries to open it to see if there are any unread messages, it wil crash.
The same happens to your messaging software.
I would make a new backup without the mailbox (no idea how to do that) and then do a reset - or - I would try to delete the INBOXxyz folders on your storage card. You have one for each account. Just try to delete like one at a time. With luck you find out the one with teh corrupt messages.

I notice a bug in the HTC Sense Mail tab, but I like someone to confirm.
ASsuming you have configure your mail a/c, go to the mail tab, and tap on the email message (i.e. the screen that shows the email content, not the left or right softkey).
it should bring out the mail client, but for me it doesn't. Can anybody confirm this?
I have that problem too sometimes. seems to come and go but I dont find it a big deal since the inbox is accessible so easily anyway

This is a known problem in the 1.48.XXX ROM.
To make it work again, try to go to the Start Menu and Lock your screen manually.
Somehow if you do this, tapping on the mail icon works again.

Ok this is the first problem I have not been able to find a solution for so I wouldnt mind a bit of help.
Whenever I receive an E-mail I get a msg saying "file is too big" on the home screen (windows live in the task bar). Its not a massive issue but its annoying as hell. Has anyone seen this before or know of a solution for it?
I know a hard reset will probaby fix it but thats a last resort because ill have to set everything up again.

Also I lost my lock slider bar th other day too and cant turn it back on, dont know if the 2 issues are related but maybe itll help with a solution!

ok I sorted the lock screen issue with BSB tweaks but the E-mail problem is still there.

How about checking in your live settings how many characters you allow for 1 mail (like 15.000 or 30.000) put that to the maximum to begin with.
Has your inbox any large mails from the last two weeks ? Even ones without attachment can be very large.
If all else fails delete your mail account from device, and resync it after recreating it.
Hard reset seems to much for this problem. Hope this helps.
