Is It Possible To change The Weather Program

Hi guys i was wondering if it is possible to change the weather program to one that has a bit more details then the current weather program in the diamond?

Would be nice if that tab could show SPB Weather instead, using one of the larger Greatbal graphics. At least that changes automatically to display the current day, without having to update first.

It would be nice to change the server update service too, because accuweather su..s.

I would like to see a local time of the location selected. Something like a world clock together with the weather.

can anyone help with this at all?
Really would like to know as this one on the diamond isnt accurate at all.

My Location Weather Tab for AT&T Tilt Stock ROM [REQ]

can anyone make a cab to add the my location weather thouch flo tab into the tilt 2 stock rom?

I dont think it can be done. It is coded in the manila itself. You just need to flash to a better stock ROM with weather in home screen!

This is the very thing that prompted me to flash a ROM other than the stock AT&T ROM.
AT&T ROM worked so well I didn't what to mess with it, but having the weather clock proved too tempting. So far so good. I love having the weather clock and the weather wallpaper scroll across my home screen.
I went with At0mAng's ATT ROM. Here:

So far so good. It is fairly light on app. I just added the one I wanted and am good to go for now.

Curious.... can you just install that version of manila or is it so integrated with the ROM to make that option impossible?

i'm just talking about the weather tab being able to find my local weather instead of adding to a list of cities

The "My Location" feature on the Weather tab is also a feature of that Manila version as well (I think).

Got ya... At least in the ROM I'm using that local weather in the tab and the clock are the same. If it tap the clock weather it takes me to the tab.

Same thing! Weather comes in different Manila package, so you have to install a ROM that has that Manila.

you can enable the "my location" feature in the registry but i'm not sure if it works since it needs some package such HTC GeoService and GoogleLocation. HKU/Software/HTC/Manila/Weather.EnableCurrentLocation set it to 1 also HKU/Software/HTC/Manila/Weather.HasMyLocation set it to 1. then soft reset.

There are a couple weather editors on XDA. I used JHV3 Weather City editor. The truth is that once you get the manila file modified by it you can copy it out, uninstall the program and then copy back the manila file and set one reg entry (weather update override one) and you are back to the way you were before installing.
As for the "My location" reg entry, I tried that and it said "no data" no matter which site I chose but My guess is that it doesnt actually know where you are.
I too would like to add this and the weather on the home screen and would be fine with the stock rom. I guess this will involve picking apart the gen Y updates and finding what adds this. I have a FUZE that is out of warranty that I can test this with.

on a related note, I've ported the myLocation service that I wrote to Titanium Weather already. The result is pretty cool; the Titanium Weather panel always shows local weather data without any need to update your location. Manilla is next but I'm not much of a manilla expert atm. I'm running an Energy Rom on my Fuze however so hopefully I'll figure it out itnf.

Disable Weather in TouchFlo Today

Hello,
i am sorry, if this topic is already discussed anywhere.
But searching the web and the forum didn't help me out.
My question is if there is an easy way to disable the weather part on the today screen of touchFlo 3d on my WM6.5 Topaz?
To be more specific:
I already disabled weather tab and didn't renew weather information for 2 weeks now, but the today screen still shows the weather :-(.
I like the rest of TouchFlo 3D so any hints?

just change your wallpaper, it works only with the default one.

Are you sure that the weather is not updated automatically? just to make sure, enable the weather Tab and check the settings from there.
I personaly do use the weather, but for you, I would suggest you try the deleting all cities from the weather tab, disable my location then add your city from the clock settings and choose it as your default city.

@McRip: Thank you, but on my Wm6.5 (HTC) it works with whatever wallpaper I assign...
@omar302: Changing the city worked. Thank you very much, now the phone doesn't remind me anymore that weather is terrible outside ;-)

How to add other cities, weather database editor is not working on Touch2?

It didnt work on mine too. So you cant. The only way is to put original ROM on the phone with the weather fix from HTC site, that will do the job.
But first you need to do HSPL on the phone if its not original HTC one.

Glad i can help mate Dont forget only one thing - after you put the weather fix, it still wont let you put new city in weather tab, but at least if you update via Home Screen it will show you the real location (where you are at the moment).

Still not working.
My city is on the liste but each time I try to add it even at an other location, it won't work. Other swiss cities are working.

Look, when you are out of your town and you Update the weather on Home Screen, it wont show you your town, but the town you are at the same moment.

Seems you didn't understand. the title is clear "I can't add the city where I'm on the weather tabs"
I'm not speaking on weather on home screen, but on weather on weather tabs.
The problem is that my city, available on the list on weather tabs won't work.
When you add a city on weather tabs, a new weather window open and the number of available weather's tabs increase. When I add Genève on the list, nothing happen but other cities like Lausanne are working. I've also a problem wiht Barcelona who is created but won't update.
Database problem?

As far as I can tell, like all of HTC's so called updates for the Mega, the weather update does f*** all. Seriously, they've removed the mp3 ringtone "update" so even they must acknowledge that they arent working.

Both cities are working fine & updating too...
But I'm on custom ROM...

weather city name too long

Hi guys !
First of all great work with this forum makes so much fun to tweak my hd2 leo.
i am using the original big clock among with weather animation but my city name Offenbach am Main is overlapping with the animated sun. is there any possibility to cut of the city name ? That onlye Offenbach is displayed ? Thank u very much in advance !

Ive just had a play with the name entries in eth registry. Sorry, looks like it pulls the name directly from the servers. As soon as you adjust the name in the registry it removes the location from the locations list.

@samsamuel, how about the long detailed weather forecasts in text like "intermittent clouds, etc...." that comes with the original weather/clock display? they also got cut, would you know of any registry tweak that can remove it? i really don't need to know in text what is the weather forecast.

i dont know for certain, but i suspect that text comes from accuweather too.
Go to accuweather website, and look at the hour by hour forecast, and you should see the text matches perfectly.
Both these things are possibly something that could be edited, but not via the registry. I suspectthere is a manila file that handles it.,
