can i use the camera (as well as barcode scanner)
in portrait mode?
The camera that was preinstalled on my Magic does change between landscape and portrait.
The Barcode scanner i use "Barcode Scanner v2.92" (sorry do not know if that was preinstalled, draws an red line in lanscape direction where you have to align an 1D code. "D2 QS Codes are read both landscape and portrait.

Is there a way to lock the screen in landscape mode? When you flip the screen the orientation changes, but i want it not to
Hi,
Is this a bug?
I can not zoom in after rotating the screen from portrait to landscape orientation and vice versa, not even using the zoom bar at the bottom of the screen. I have to reload the site in order to be able to zoom in again, which is a bit annoying.
I have the same problem, anyone more info?

Obviously the MHL/Slimport adapters work in landscape mode (videos on youtube confirm that). But what about portrait? Does the screen rotate and show the apps and the home screen in portrait when you rotate the phone? (my DroidX does this and apple airplay devices do it as well).
thanks!
Hey,
Doing a Nexus car mod at the present time and having issues with apps that are only designed for portrait mode being stretch into landscape mode rendering them useless.
In this example the app is ingress.
Is there a way to rotate an app into landscape mode but still keep in its portrait size so there would be black boxes on the left and right of the app?
Thanks for your help
When I'm not using my TV I want it to function as a portrait mode picture frame. I have it set on a mount that can rotate from landscape to portrait. I've tried most of the set rotation like apps that are available in the google store. They will rotate the screen to portrait, but then the shield will rotate the screen and add giant black bars to the side.
Is there any way to modify the code in the shield to prevent it from doing this?
