Just got my mytouch I did the one click root and then downloaded cyanogen newest rom. I put it on my sd card and flashed the update and now Im stuck on the android screen.

i followed all of the instructions on the unlockr to unroot, then root, then add a custom ROM
i chose to use the latest evil hero ROM, but it was so slow and slugish, it was practicably inoperable
so, i did a wipe, and tried flashing the latest cynogen rom.
but it always aborts the installation
i re-partioned, tried the backup nandroid 2.2, everything
what should i do to fix this problem?
my friend is coming over today, and he also has a mytouch, could i use his SD card to load another ROM on to it and then put the SD card into my mytouch?
any kind of help would be greatly appreciated, as my phone is not even working right now, and i need it

As long as you can get into recovery i don't think you have anything to fear. And yes you should be able to use his mobile place an update.zip to the SD card then move it to your mobile in case you don't have a card reader.
ok cool, thank you!
ill let you know how it goes.
1 more question
if i were to put the latest cyanogen 4.2.1, would i need just the normal one, or the .md5sum. and would it be as simple as naming it update, wipe, then flash update?
Thanks to this forum, i was able to get 7.0.0 stable to run great on my Android. There are a few bugs that seems like the new stable covers. This is my first time updating, I'm sorry that this is extremely rudimentary but I am unsure. Do I just delete the current .zip of 7.0.0 and place the new one in? If so, do i have to boot from sd card again so everything can compile? Or is it a little more complicated?
Did you install it on nand or Sd ?!
i installed it on SD, i can still boot into stock nook.
Anybody help out? Looking to do the update! Just swap .zip files and voila? Or more?
Copy the new update (stable or nightly) to the boot partition of your SD, then insert the SD and do a recovery boot. Verygreen's instructions work fine, I refer to them if I forget!!:

Sometimes a simple reboot of your Nook will fix wifi issues, try turning on wifi as soon as it boots up.
Okay... I have seen you alot in the q and a and you seem to be super helpfull.
I was wondering if you could please please please help me!!
let me tell you where i was. Okay so on my mytouch 4g i was running fauxs new 2.3 leak http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1059379
And i saw that he put out a new kernal. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1079754
And i wanted to give it a go. So followed all the steps... wipe cash and dalvik everthing was going perfect. Then it rebooted, and i got stuck in a bootloop. Witch not a big deal just go back to recovery.
Well I did and it went into Hboot it tries to load some image and fails. And then the only option it gives me is to update this radio_v2 thing.
So I think my recovery is broken. PLEASE HELP ( what steps do i need to do now? I havent ever worked with adb or hboot engineering.
I used the visionary root method i had s off

If your computer has an SD reader use a micro SD adapter to delete the pdi15.img from the root of your card. Then you will be able to then boot back into recovery and flash the rom or new kernel again. I hope this helps you out.
Edit: pd151.img

Lol wow - I am in this exact same scenario - placed both kernel and radio on my sd card, flashed the kernel, got stuck at boot loop, and can't get back to recovery to flash the "first time" kernel because hboot only gives me the option of updating radio...
So...I unfortunately don't have an sd card reader on my computer to easily remove the pd15 radio file...is there any way around this? Or is removing the pd15 file from my sd card the only solution??
Ok...I remembered my girlfriend's computer has an sd card reader, I put mine in, and when I try to remove the pd15 radio file, it says it can't be deleted...WTF!? What should I do??
So it looks like the card is "read only" on my girlfriend's computer...but I can't put it into my computer to change the read/write permissions!!! Argh...!!!
I sorted it out....phew! I mounted a different sd card via my phone, fixed the kernel issue by running 'firs time' kernel, and was able to power up phone. Looking good now.

Hey everyone,
I was stupid and wanted to try Jerpela's CM7.1 Rom with ClockWorkMod. After trying the ROM I wanted to switch back to my Rom, or WolfBreak's Rom. But I had ClockWorkMod recovery because that was what was needed for the Cm7 rom. So I tried flashing the zip xrecovery 0.3 from the thread made by zdzihu. CWM recovery said that it could not install it.
So I went and booted and tried installing the apk for xrecovery. On the app when I installed it i had 2 check marks and 1 blocked symbol. I thought recovery had been installed so I rebooted and could not enter recovery. The freeXperia logo did not appear. The Rom booted and now no wifi. And also the root system is not RW, even though i'm rooted.
But even with this I could just use flashtool and flash stock gingerbread. Unfortunately the usb port on my X10 is wobbly and I cannot get connection anymore.
I would not mind staying on this ROM for the life of my X10, but unfortunately Camera, WiFi... does not work
Can someone please help me?? I really want to finish releasing my ROM and really want to see how far the X10 would go with the new sources released.
Thanks, and please help me. I feel soo crappy.
Okay
Do u have a memory card reader ?
If not then buy one
Place your sdcard in it
And copy the ROM in it
And put it on ur phone to try it ...
Hope that helps

Also, so you don't run into the same problem after SBF, what Liberty were you trying to install (were you on Froyo or GB) and how did you install it?
