Help!! Don't resieve SMS at all

Hi, My Qtek2020 don't resieve SMS but it can send. I tried my SIM card in another phone and it's working just fine. What the problem can be.
Please help

Do you happen to have Sprite Backup installed on your unit and did you recently perform a restore? If so, that may be the culprit as there has been some conflicts with sms and email's.
Hard reset may be the only solution.

Yes, I did This little ****ty program :evil: but it's a good backup program else...
Is there any alternative program like sprint?

I have the same problem as you. They are promising a fix to the problem.
Interesting thing is I cant find anyone who knows what sprint does to kill SMS so whats the chance of a fix??

Sprite Pocket Backup Plus and SMS
There is not an officially released fix yet, but if you email their technical support they will grudgingly offer a beta fix for the problem. I have not done so, because SMS is just not terribly important to me. To solve this problem for me, I simply de-select the SMS inbox in Pocket Outlook for backups and restores - voila!
I'm not sure that there is a better backup program for the PocketPC available, so I'm willing to overlook this small problem until a solution is availabe . . . and one will be.

Can't open SMS or Message apps

Hello All: I have a Spanish Elfin, works fine, came all the way to Zimbabwe with me. All of a sudden I can't open the SMS app or Messaging. From home screen, if I select SMS app it just does nothing. Same thing if I try to send an SMS from iContacts or if I try to send a text message from my list of phone calls. All just do nothing. I back-up every day with Sprite Backup, but going back a few days does nothing to that problem.
Anybody have a solution for this, please? In Zimbabwe, SMS is the best way of communication, I need this.

Thanks for the reply - I've tried that. I uninstalled iContact, and it didn't help, so I installed it again, still no change. I don't have anything else sms-related installed on it.
Any other ideas?

problem with incoming sms

i have problem with icoming sms.It doesnot ring when the message comes, it rings when i turn display on. I tryed to change registry to wake up when message comes, but this is not practical if i have phone in pocket ...
please help

Some installed software do it. Try hard reset, than receive some SMS... Before that backup your system. e.g. SPB Backup

i try this, but still the same problem

Problem with sms from Google, Nimbuzz, Mobile operator, etc..
When I receive SMS from Google, Nimbuzz or from my Mobile operator, I get unreadable charactors instead of the original message.
but other SMS like Facebook, CNN and phone to phone SMS are coming without any problem.
here is what I get to my phone when I recieve a SMS from Google, Nimbuzz or from my Mobile operator,

I checked with my operator and they don't have any issue and when I use my SIM on any other phone, I recieve those SMS like normal SMSes.
I thried hard resetting the phone about 10 times but the problem is there.
Please help me to fix this..

I've same issue.
When I recive sms from google calendar orfrom my operator (wind, Italy) the text is full of random characters ...
no problem reciving other sms and no problem from google and wind if I use the SIM in another phone.
I've a P3470 with WM6.

SMS notification in Titanium "-GSM"

Guys, need to ask if anyone has experienced this in the latest WM 6.5 roms, whenever you receive messages and your using titanium, the sms is partly displayed with a "- GSM" at the end part. Is there any way (register tweak) to remove this? Kinda ugly and annoying. Thanks in advance.

i have found that om messages i have restored with PIMBackup, but not on new messages i have sent.
is it the same for you?

its actually when receiving not restoring.

I need help with this too, I have a AT&T Tilt 2 (Rhodium) when they come in like this there not threaded like they should be.

All SMS disappear after delete 1 sms

I've restored 25 SMS from omnia by use spb backup. when I've got new SMS and would like to delete the new one . All SMS is gone.
Does Anyone get this problem like me?

Yes faced before on my previous HD and TP2 ; seems only if you restore from SpBBackup have this problem. After I switch to SpriteBackup never has this isssue anymore

Thanks I will test on Sprite backup and will tell you the result.
