No Network

Friends,
My friend's (NEW) gene just keeps on searching network, but does not get it. Any idea to rectify ??? Thanks in advance. Using WM 6.5.

which ROM are you using? Have you tried restarting the phone, or switching to airplane mode and back by comm manager, or hard resetting your phone? Also check whether the connectivity of the operator is proper at the place where you are testing. If its only one or two signals, this could be missed by some phones while catched by others.

Using WM6.5 21176
Flashed twice. Rest all OK. No signal bars. Keeps on searching on Auto Mode. Tried three different oprators' sims. Flight mode off. Manual network search yields no result. Any idea ???

Have you tried to flash a different ROM?maybe something like wm 6.1 pro users by sumit or the gene lite by ankit?? if you have'nt tried it try that...hopefully that should clear your problem...

i dont have any more ideas to try..but if the phone is in warranty take it to the service center ...might be a hardware issue...i'm not sure though maybe a few others in here might have some other ideas...

@mehra : Try Sumit's(Aka Krazy) Pro User's ROM, new version V2 R3 for NEW GENE.
Another thing just remove the SD Card while flashing(if any). After flashing reset the ROM 1-2 times. May help.

Dear Mehra,
Please note that changing ROMs will not solve your problem, as none of them conain radio. You will get radio only with the shipped ROMs or ask ramersonw for the radio, a bird told me he's got the latest radio for Gene .

I buyed a htc touch hd like 2 month ago but last weekend didnt get any network so i turned it off and turned on again and nothing happend i left my cell on a store and they say that theres nothing to do
Can anyone help me they said that it could be a software problem with the unlock
is there anyway to check if the phone lost the unlocking soft or something
PLEASE HELP ME

try a hard reset if a soft reset does not fix it

sounds to me like a radio flashing went wrong

And what i can do in that case!

Did you try to install anything ?? or did you try to do any ROM upgrade (if you are familiar)
How did all these started ?? give us some details & we might be able to help you

Also can you turn phone on at all now? Can you enter bootloader screen? What does your SPL say?

You could always put your phone into bootloader and flash a radio

You flash a radio the same way you would flash a rom. First of all you need USPL or HSPL on your device. I recommend you read these threads for guidance:

1.14.25.24 & Rilphone.dll radio thread
Blackstone Radio Flashing (wiki)
Available Blackstone Radios
I would start with radio 1.14.25.24 as this is latest blackstone radio

You have a vast choice of roms to use, either stock roms direct from HTC site or from the wiki here or cooked roms from this forum
Would be impossible for me to recommend one as everyone is different and your tastes may well be different from mine. Also you have different windows versions, i.e. wm6.1 & wm6.5. All I can say is try a few and make your own conclusions. At present I am currently using Throys WM6.5 R9 rom

ok if I was your support guy for your problem I'd need more info like
1. What unlocking software and from where did you get it?
2. what network are you on?
3. where in the world are you? (geography can be a problem)
4. what rom did you flash to?
5. (this is where I check in 6.5) in settings, connections, connection setup what does it say?
6. in settings, phone information what model does it say you have ?
with luck giving us this info might give us an idea what has happened

The original one from HTC the last one(1.57.831.1) i tryed aother ones 2. but the problem started before i tryed to flash any rom for first time.

You may find that the phone is stolen and phone networks have blocked the IMEI Number this maybe why you donot have any reception
Try asking your Network phone company if this phone is blocked

I Already call and no its not blocked by imei

[Question] How to test GPS hardware...

Hi all,
suddenly my GPS is not working anymore. Can enable GPS and it says it is ok. But when i want use Google Maps, or navigation program the icon in taskbar is not there anymore.
Did try GPS Status, nothing....
Did a fresh rom install and wipe everything i can wipe.. nothing not working.
now i want to know is there a tool or adb option to test the hardware if this is still working.... (maybe GPS is broken)

Did a RADIO rom flash with the one i already had on my HTC... and problem solved....
Still wondering how it can happen that maybe the radio rom was getting crazy...

had the same problem two days ago, same solution... same no idea for the cause

this kind of strange things was my idea only for windows... suddenly it is not working anymore.. But.. Solve this problem was mutch easier haha

This seems to happen whenever you flash a 2.1 ROM. Even going back to 1.5 doesn't fix the problem and a new radio flash is required.

Every now and then manufacturers like HTC will release an update to radio which controls your wifi, data, blutooth. If your current radio is having problems, you will need to update it. Most of the time new radio is included with the update but you can Google individual files as well, hope this explains

Hi peeps.. first post after a long term user..
I recently updated my TD2 to official 6.5 rom. No problems apart from the usual bugs.
Until yesterday when my phone CPW sim free on ORANGE network decided to not find network! I've had this phone for about 10months so i tried different area with no luck. My sim in another phone seems to work fine and an 02 sim works in the TD2..
After useless advice from ORANGE(*manual search, gsm mode etc), they have advised me to take it to CPW..
I've just HARDSPL and installed new RADIO .57 with no luck. Hard resetted it with no luck... and im just restting the rom again with official 6.5 release.
Has anyone had this problem? orange reassure me the imei number is fine with no restrictions and that my account is up and running..

Assuming you have verified your network settings and ran the setup wizard (and HR after flashing the ROM) just keep trying different radios.

It is possible to be a hardware problem. I had a Mio A701 with the same simptoms and the radio chip was broken; there were two solutions: replace motherboard or buy a new one. So, I became a HTC owner and A701 is used only for GPS.

It is possible but highly unlikely since it occurred after you changed ROMs.

it occured about two weeks after the update..
tried different roms and radios.. no luck
have just flashed 6.5 with stock 1.33 spl and it booted then its crashed... fails to load pass HTC screen... tri color mode connects to usb but doesnt allow me to flash anything stays on 0%

I bought HD2 which was flashed Android first, now I get the new 23.Langs_HD2_Pdaimatejam_Rom_Wp7.5_mango_7.10.8107.79_v6 for my HD2, after I fill the APN and using the connetion setup, I still can't use the EDGE or 3G network, however the Wifi or USB mode works fine. Then I changed any 7740 and 8107 rom from Pdaimatejam, the problem is still there, as I can see Radio Hardware 0.0.0.0, I'll be appreciated if anyone could help me on the problem.
My HD2 is producted in 8 April 2011 for sale in Porland.

Use the HTC connection Setup and this will installed the proper APN, if you doesn't know it.

Yes, I used the HTC Connection Setup, but still not work.
My Radio is 2.15.50.14
Anything works fine in Android.
I can find the "Security Unload" on the top of the three color screen.
2.08 HSPL yet.

Pdaimatejam_Rom v6.5 is latest version and corrected some bugs from v6.... soon be released v7.
remove installed Connection Setup from phone, restart phone and install new version from HTC section in Marketplace. run Connection Setup and setup connection (try manual mode). when finish add APN manually and restart device

I tried V6.5 or V4, but still not work.
I think it caused by the radio hardware problem?

I am also one of the Lucky & unlucky owner of an awesome HTC HD2. Lucky because well it rocks in Android, unlucky because it doesnt detect Edge/GPRS on my WP Mango.

Hi, aarmath, my HD2 is htc version which is 512M rom, but has "Security unlocked" on the top of the 3 color screen, i dont know what does that mean? Is it the problem? I redo the hspl to 2.08, but still the same problem. Radio hardware 0.0.0.0, it make me very sad.

Thanks keller112, your problem is the missing APN, as you have the A.102.0.D4 radio hardware per your attached pic. But we only could see the radio hardware 0.0.0.0 which maybe the problem. I've flashed three different Rom but still not work.
I've no idea about this problem now, anyone could help?

I have been having the same problem as well... I've tried reflashing 3 times through the entire process that was shown on the youtube video.
And has anyone also been having a problem where different apps wont open at all? I tried reseting and it worked for a bit but it seems if I change anything in the "advanced config" next time my phone boots up everything gets messed up and the theme is erased. SO FRUSTRATING hahaha
