Is there already a ROM for the HTC S740?
i'm still waiting for it and in the Vox thread (HTC S710) there is already someone who made a ROM from wm 6.5.
Please o please, is there somebody already who's using Windows Mobile 6.5 on his HTC S740?
Same here, HTC won't provide an upgrade for the S740 model so i really hope that someone comes up with a ROM.

cmonex/olipro are aware of the need to have the hard spool created. We cannot flash cooked roms onto the device without this. I left a PM for them today to see if they have an estimated time frame on the release of a hrd spl for the S740/743...
I've just read the info about Win 6.5 upgrade... but for SNAP!!!! In my opinion it's unfair.

just got the Rose for xmas bill smartphone but need a different radio in it as the sig is always 1 or 2 bars, have tried flashin to a different orange rom but this just isnt cutting it with an o2 sim in it,
the phone is sim unlocked but wont take differnet radio roms as we all know why, really need the hard spl for this phone,
would also love to know how to create them

I´ve bin also waiting for a long time for a offical Rom from HTC!
I have ask HTC for an Update but they have sayed they will give us no new Rom-Update for our S740 (That was in November 2009)
Now they say if more people will ask the chance is high that there will come an Windows Mobile 6.5-Update for our Device!
NOW ALL YOU PEOPLE OUT THERE,BOMB OFF THE HTC SUPPORT WITH EMAILS! ASK FOR AN UPGRADE! PLEASE FIGHT!

non capisco di cosa vi lamentate, è già un telefono pigro con win mobile 6.1 sp, malgrado gli oltre 500 MHz del suo processore, figuriamoci come diventerebbe lento a metterci su win phone 6.5

The basic requirements should be the same as the S740 Rose. Hope there is a way to transform the ROM into a suitable file for the HTC =/
I'm not shure if the Touch-Feature is unreplaceable for using this device.

Windows Mobile 6.5 Update wurde fuer die folgende Geraete angekuendigt:
HTC Touch Diamond 2
HTC Touch Pro 2
HTC Snap
Im Moment sind es die einzigste Modelle, die diesen Windows Mobile 6.5 Update bekommen werden. Das haengt damit zusammen, dass die Geraete mit bestimmten Hardwarekomponenten ausgestattet werden muessen und nur diese Modelle entsprechen diesen Voraussetzungen.
Im Moment ist es nicht zu erwarten, dass die andere Modelle, die mit Windows Mobile 6.1 ausgestattet sind, auf Windows Mobile 6.5 aktualisiert werden.

Yes these Devices are updated but i don´t understand why our Rose should get no update!
HTC Talks about the Hardware but where is the Big difference to other Devices?
The HTC Vox also runs a (Cooked) WM 6.5 Rom so why the Rose not?

after a lot other flashed devices it is time to try flashing MDA C-3 (P3300, Artemis). I have T-mobile GER WM 5.0 instaled (german tmobile operator) no SIM-LOCK, and would like to install ENG WM 5.0.
Does anyone have time to explatin step-by-step procedure of flashing and which ROM to use (is it okay to use original T-Mobile UK WWE ROM for a device bought in Germany)

To flash a new ROM you need to run USPL first:

Then you'll be able to flash any ROM you like.
For the WM5 ROM, that should be a problem... Because there isn't many WM5 ROMs arround.
But try to search in the wiki.

You can allways try one WM6.1 cooked ROM. But that is you to decide!

But not WM 5.0, in 10% i got some error-not a suitable ROM (TMOUK WM 5 ROM).
So I downloaded WM 6.1 Black6Blue and finished.
But when I put my SIM it blocks at splashscreen.
Remove sim, work OK.
Back SIM again- and it works!
Put IgO2006-works. This is fenomenal device. But i have no pen, and will try to use with mouse temporarely.

i naravno pri flash-u koristi uspl,potrebno je samo 1.put,al ti nista ne znaci jos jednom...samo se osiguras,za svaki slucaj
joj jest lijepo nekom odgovorit na nasem
probaj potrazit stylus u NTCHS-u,trebali bi imati,oni su zastupnici za BiH
now in english...try using artemis touch 4.02 without cube, it works like a doxa
i put iGO8 and it runs great
and ofcourse use uspl when flashing,it's needed only the first time,but it won't harm to do it again...just to be sure,in any case
and mdaIII hasn't got wifi because it's i think arte300 model unlike p3300 which is arte100 and orbit which is arte200 which have wifi

i don't use it too often...but it's nice to have it sometimes i have very good connection on some places...so i exploit it

Hi I have a Norwegian Pharos and I have tried to dump my ROM. You will find it here: Part02.raw. It's the first time I have dumped a ROM.... So no guarantees!!! I followed this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2511499&postcount=12
As far as I understand the .raw file must be converted to .nbh before installing! Somebody can probably help you with it. Good luck.
