ok i was hoping to find a app that locks files and/or folders with a simple pin number. i have looked all around but i cant find anything like that. can someone help me out plz???

Now, I'd really like to know why searching was so difficult (I mean this in a friendly way - to help others) You see I have placed a sticky called Search XDA..using Google at the top of the messages list.
Now when I just put in SSPL Hermes - guess what, top of the list came the link you were just given by ARC. Took maybe 20 seconds!!
Please tell me how you tried your searches and whether you spotted the google sticky above?? We really need to sort out the searching difficulties some folks are finding.

you may not be able to remove it.. but you may be able to replace it.
It varies by device, but there is a registry key that controls that on most devices.
I'm not sure which HTC device your stellar is... but if you can figure that out, those would be the people to ask.
I've also seen one some phones, people had made an RUU that will replace that picture.
its a htc kaiser, can i replace it though?

mate, i know youre new.. but theres an announcement saying please refrain from posting unless you're a developer or a hardcore techie.
anyways, its fine, youre new... so nobody really cares if you dont know how things work.
youre best bets are
a) searching google
b) searching the site using google
c) posting in the forum called kaiser software (it just changed its name, so i think thats what its called) because even if people ther say search which theyre likely to, they have probably been asked it loads of times before, so will point you in the right direction.
one thing that might work, but will only change the secondary splash screen is looking in \windows\ for a file called welcomehead.96 or something. write down the name of it, then you can copy another picture file [not sure what type you need] with that name to the windows folder, and it will be your splash. Beware though, i did this yesterday, adn i could only complete the copy because i'm using resco file explorer. also, i wouldnt recommend copying and renaming the file like i suggested, because im pretty sure there are some constraints that it needs to obey...

i have looked around a little bit for a way to do this but i haven't turned up many results that had a great solution
Alot of my friends ask to see my phone and i usually let them, i just really hate it when people read my txt messages, is there any programs that let me just password protect the messaging portion of my phone so that way i don't have to really worry about people looking through them when i let them see the phone, my older flip phones had a way of doing it i just havent seen one on this phone.
the closes thing i found to a solution was to put this one .exe file into the messaging folder on the phone, i was wondering if there was a .cab file that did the same thing so its quicker and easier

I had one for Halo 2. Just rename the file to *.tsk.

Hey Guys before i start i want to say that i have searched these forums as well as google and even HTC's website for this program and could not find it.
ok now that thats done can anyone tell me where i can find the program that came with the touch pro that compressed files? it even let you put a password on the files....if no then can yo tell me one that is similar to it...i have files on my touch pro 2 i would like to keep the password on but still be able to view them wen i need to make changes to it.
