Hi There!
I am planning to buy HTC P3600 here in Portugal. But the problem is that it has a Portuguese Language ROM. Can you tell me if it is possible for me to put an English ROM instead...? Can i remove the Portuguese one and replace it with an English Language ROM...?
Or to do this it has to be unlocked in some way...?
Because i will only buy it if i can change it to English...
Thanx in advance!
You can do this only if you unlock your device (at this time it will be charged 30 € by http://www.imei-check.co.uk/m700unlock.php)
Then you can choose a WWE ROM and flash it.
But :
You loose the warrenty on your device

To use it you don't have to change ROM's, there is no Dutch T-Mobile ROM available anyway. Maybe it is easier to have it unlocked and then use a Dutch sim.
Impossible for now
As far as I know there isnt any dutch ROM available yet.I just changed from Dutch ROM to english ROM.Changing it back is out of question till some one gets a flashable dutch ROM.
hi,
I have the following problem i want to buy a dutch p3300 (the only ones they have with a contract) but i have software that needs a english WM. Is it easy to change to a english version and can i upgrade it to WM6. Buying the english version costs me a lot more since i can't do it with a contract.
Thanks in advance for all info..

I got an HD2 from eBay seller in Hong Kong. The phone arrived and everything was in English on first start just like I hoped.
However, there is still the Chinese keyboard on the device (Pin Yin or something).
Can someone tell me how to remove the Chinese keyboard?
I asked this question in past, but with no luck. sorry

freyberry, thanks you.
What is the difference between these ROMs and for example the one which I have with Chinese language included?
thanks again
The difference is the language. WWE is English. This one: http://rapidshare.com/files/3153119...dio_Signed_15.28.50.07U_2.05.51.05_2_Ship.exe

yes, everything is in English. just we can type in Chinese as well..
Yeah I can type in both English and Chinese, but I'd rather just remove the Chinese part to make it easier when switching keyboards.
The ROM that came installed is already WWE, everything is in English except that I can also type in Chinese on the keyboard.

I checked my ROM is 1.48.707 WWE, but it includes Chinese keyboard as well.
Any way to just remove Chinese keyboard?
And any way to add Farsi font to read SMSs in farsi? now Farsi characters in HTC messaging are just shown as blocks!
thanks in advance.

It takes up a small block on the keyboard where it shows Chinese characters option even when typing in English.

Yes it would be great if I can use with HK ROM without those stupid input methods. when you have too many input methods, some are pushed to the cascase menu "other input methods". However, they (Pinyin etc) does not appear as separate entities to things like SKTools, so I have no idea how to disable them.
Does anybody know how i can get Norwegian language on a device bought in UK?
It does not have that choice in the >language & input section in settings.
I have rooted the device.
Similar question from me, I bought mine in the USA and would like to change the language from English (USA) to English (UK).
