From day 1 of getting my Touch 3G I have never been able to get the Time setting for my Home location to save as Sydney permanently. It will do it initially but always reverts back to Brisbane.
Any ideas?

If both cities are within the same time zone this is normal. The whole time zone is represented by a main-city, the other cities only exemplify the dimension of the time zone.

I can't seem to get my cingular 8125 to get the correct time when I choose the time zone. It is an hour behind when I select central time and when I change it manually it sets itself back an hour a day or two later. It use to work fine when I was still on the east cost. Is there anyway I can set the time permantly? It is really annoying since I use it as my alarm clock. Thanks
For different areas, change the time zone and not the time.

also check to see if you have selected summer time too!!
Sounds like maybe you have a 2.24 ROM? (kinda hard to tel!) If so, remove the checkmark from Network Time in the Phone settings.
yeah I have the 2.24a rom and I can't find the network time checkbox in the phone options. Also I did change the time zone, time zone is an hour off
Anybody? is there a quick fix or do I have to flash to another rom? Thanks.
At some time time today my phone started changing itself to the wrong time zone, i should be pacific time and it keeps changing to central.. I have never had this problem before and did not install or change anything that should cause this problem...can anyone help???
have you left your world clock page set to a named city rather than my location? (tap the clock on eth homepage to go to world clock page)
Also, are you right on teh border between PST and Central? Could be you are connecting to a cell tower that identifies itself as central.
Yes i have tried that, and it reverts right back anytime i restart my phone... i am in Oregon and this has not been a problem until today...

Any idea's anyone?
So has anyone had an issue with their HD2 Leo giving the wrong time? I was visiting family back in Richmond TX for the week and everytime I went to Richmond TX my phone would move up an hour and when I went to check the time it would say Eastern Time Zone. Im assuming it thinks im in Richmond VA. Does this everytime. THen when I would go back to my other home in Sugar Land TX it would move back the hour to the correct time.
Anyone has a wierd issue like this with your phone? I would figure only people possibly living in a city that has a name common in other states might have this issue. I was in another town called London while I was riding and my phone would think I was in London UK.
im in sugarland, and my phones time has been acting weird all week, maybe its due to my android install but its too strange that this could be a coincidence..
you have to set the phone to local time and you can do that by going to the alarm clock and selecting the world clock and then put the green dot on "my location" and then the phone will automatically adjust the time based upon where you are.
I'm having the same problem. It seemed to go wrong after I tried to install andriod. I have re flashed the stock ROM but the phone is still acting very strange as far as the time is concerned.... Help?
DST?
im in the UK, and we have juyst put the clocks back by an hour after British Summer Time has ended (DST) on sunday 31st October.
since then my HD2 has attempted to reset the time and keeps randomly changing it, yesterday is was showing as no longer on BST and still showing me an hour ahead, today it has randomly changed from 10:30 am to 1:30pm.
not quite sure what is going on with it, when ever i request carrier time it keeps reverting to 1 hour forward but not on BST.
hopefully it will reslove itself over time. if not looks like will have to turn off some of the location services and stick to manual city location within world clock.

The fix using reg edits seems to be the most effective one......
hope that helps.......
Anyone with a wifi xoom have problems with the day lights savings? When I have it set to auto it doesn't recognize the new time. And if I manually put it, it messes up the time stamps in gtalk.
Yea I have the same problem with the time
I have wifi xoom with eos, had same prob but changed to gmt+1 as am in uk, all is fine now plus if you have it set to get time from the network maybe look at your router to see if the time and zone are right with ntp.
Yep same here - had to set manually.....
I'm running the stock ROM, nothing other than Cookies 1.8.5....live in the US, Central Standard time zone.
My phone keeps switching itself to Pacific a few times a day. Anyone know how I can stop it from switching every time I switch it back?
Border?
Is it possible that you live right on the border of two time zones and your phone is connecting to a tower in another time zone. if so just change your settings and manually set your time instead of automatically from the network.
or to set the correct time zone to save the settings and turn off/turn on your phone

No, I'm right in the middle of the Central Standard time zone...and it keep setting itself to Pacific (two zones away).
I'll try setting it correctly in the "all settings area" and shutting her down for a bit....but I doubt that will fix it as I've tried restarting Sense and the phone itself after said change attempts and it's not worked either.
The ONLY thing I can think that might be causing this is since it seems to happen at work more than elsewhere, and my work is based in Glendale Wisconsin, that the system automatically sees Glendale, and assumes it's Arizona instead of Wisconsin.
Seems illogical...but it's the only reason I can think of why this might be happening.
