My battery won't charge, but when I plug it in to charge it says it's charging and the level of charge doesn't lower, but it definitely doesn't go up either. So after a while my battery is dead. I tried using other chargers and even a new battery. Is there any way to fix this??

ok i had same problem + couple more .
a. battery would not charge or after 4 hours of chargin it would charge 5%
b. battery and the back of the phone became very hot just after few miniutes of use .
c. touch screen responce was not right even after calibrating 10s of times .
Attempts
1. so i flashed latest stock att rom and different other roms , didn't help .
2. tried battery cycle or whatever its called 3 times , didn't help . I read somewhere in xda forums , i think it means to take out the battery and not recconect it to the phone for half an hour . then insert the battery but do not turn your phone on . charge it for 8 hours . unplug charger and turn it on .
3. Last thing i did was flash a different radio and did the power cycle again .
Guess what - Battery works fine just like before . i think it was because of the att new radio rom which killed my battery . try it mightwork for you .
Solution (may be) : - reflash to a custom radio and also rom other than what you have right now .
my touch sceen started working fine but now again its doing the same thing .

My sgs won't charge anymore
My battery went down a few hours ago, so as usual I connected my phone to the wall charger. after an hour when I went out cycling I took my phone with me and realized my battery level went even lower then before I charged it.
I thought that maybe the charger wasn't connected properly (something that happened a few times before) so I wasn't nervous.
When I came back and reconnected the phone to the charger and made sure the charger is connected properly I realized the phone isn't charging at all.
The battery level do not increase, and the phone gets hotter and hotter every second.
I tried with two original samsung chargers. same problem.
After a few minutes the battery died. When I connected the charger again when phone is off the battery animation did show up but with a weird yellow triangle (like the one on boot when using non stock kernel) next to it.
Then I tried to charge it using the USB cable, which did something as I could enter the recovery and do a complete wipe right after backing up everything. But, it doesn't change anything.
SO.. after the long story (soz) doe's anyone knows something about this problem? is there something I can do?

Answer = service centre .
But before that put a stock rom on a clean phone to remove root and set rom counter to zero and test battery charge .

i have alredy replyed that but usually the problem is diferente kernel installed or rom installed, try to update kernel for an updated version.

my x5 was working fine wid crazymiui 7-14 version but 2day phone stopped charging . i had some problems earlier but shaking d charger lil bit or using pc to charge worked well .
2day when i connected d charger phone showed charging ( led was also green ) but d battery percentage was stuck . it was same 5-6 % after atleast an hour of charging . i tried various methods but all in vain , pc dtects d phone n usb debugging is also on but no increment in battery. everything else is working fine . i even tried my blackberry charger but same result. den i thought of switching off phone and den charging , battery icon appeared after huawei logo n it showed charging but when i powerd it up battery was same 4-5 % ( chargd for an hour ) den i thought dere might be some problem wid charging jack n charged d battery on a local shop . ( there is one special type of charger which directly charges any battery. u directly have to plug in d battery in d charger ) but dat didnt help either .
now i am thinking of taking it to service centre ( still under warrantly . 10 months ) but the problem is my x5 is rooted n running 4.0 , as soon dey see this they will void my warranty n i cannot install official as dere is no battery . even if i try wid so less charging dere is stong probability of bricking d mobile as i would be dead while installing d rom .
what should i do now ? someone pls reply ASAP . i mean how can battery be dead suddenly . thats impossible

There are three possibilities.
Either the battery is FUBAR or;
The charge indicator is incorrect or;
There is an internal hardware problem
The simplest explanation is that the battery is bad.

as others said your phones usb input may be dead, i have some ideas;
1. try to charge battery with a charger that have output of 1a 5v. (you already tried this,if i read your post right)
2. charge with a battery charger (the ones that you directly put the battery in it ,some of them are universal,have two pins)
3. connect your phone to the computer without a battery if it boots your phones battery is dead.(I think this is good news)
4.if none of help above (above,right?) your phones battery measurement is wrong,charge it like 1 hour and du a complete restore or flash another rom.

thanx man , my phone worked , coincidentally both chargers i tried were broke . took my phone to service centre they connected there charger and phone charged . there was some problem with d cable , dats why it didnt charge even when connected to pc . so bought new data cable n all working well . again thanx for help

I have a weird problem this morning. My phone was normal till last night , when i woke up in the morning , i noticed that my battery was drained up to 3% remaining . So i tried to charge the battery using the usual wall mount charger , it didnt change . So i restarted the mobile and then it said ' Android is upgrading' and then it came to home screen but still not charging .
I am not sure if there is problem with the upgrade. i tried several cables , none of seems to be charging my device. Anyone have came across these kind of issues ? Please help , my phone is completely switched off now
Hi . Have a weird problem with Note 3 . Cant turn phone on once it's shut down or battery taken out . No matter what you try hard reset , plug charger while battery out then insert battery nothing really works except leaving battery out for a LONG TIME . By long time I mean more than half an hour . After that I put battery in phone starts normal . Worth mentioning that I did inspect inside everything around power button flex cable and pins on mboard and everything seems normal . I'm starting to think that there's problem with hardware or board itself .
Anyone with similar problem . I know there's always "don't switch phone off" fix but you sometimes battery runs out and shuts phone off . Phone is around 2 years old .

recently I am experiencing this deadly problem .
my battery drains completely to the amount that phone can't even boot . biggest problem is that its like phone is not accepting charge . after it loses all the charge,it turns off . when I connect charger it vibrates randomly . it feels like battery doesn't even have the charge to load that Lenovo battery charging animation page(while switched off ). phone goes to soft brick stage .after a few vibrations(I think phone is vibrating one time before loading battery charging page ,phone can't even load that charging page ,may be due to very low charge .so it vibrates and attempts to load battery charging page,and it goes off . again vibrates... somehow it recovers from the loop after some time )it loads battery charging page , and would stuck at 2%,or 8% etc... after long some 6-8 hours phone regains control and charge normally and everything coming to normal .I can't figure out what this problem is . only thing I figured out is that this happens when phone reaches a certain low battery percentage like below 20% .
after that phone will not accept charge until it goes off and all the above things ...
pls someone look into this matter ,may be someone else might have experienced this or someone can give me a clue
This problem has been faced by many users, including me. I thought it was only me, until one of my friends faced it too. Apparently, there might be a problem with battery stats. If you charge when it is fully drained, It will vibrate a few times. This happens because, the phone always keeps 2% of battery for the offline charging screen to load(the charging screen while off). But when the phone's battery is fully drained to 0% then it will vibrate and stays like that before it can switch on. So to solve this, charge the phone and leave it like that until its fully charged or like when you feel it is stuck(while the phone is switched off only). Then switch it on, and fully drain it again. Now once again charge the phone and leave it. Then drain. Do not remove until the phone until it shows 100%. Repeat this few times. This is actually to calibrate the battery stats. Now you'll see that battery charges properly.

Are you on stock or custom rom? If you are on custom rom, you can enable usb fast charging and charge it with computer. It helped me.

i've tested most of the ROMs out here . thought it could be a ROM related issue . macblaze,mohancm,zormax ROMs . currently on zormax's Lineage OS 13 (Marshmallow) . which one to you prefer?

No. It's not rom related issue. Each rom has some unique capability. Any rom is good. You can use Kernel Auditor to enable usb fast charge and charge the phone with any computer. This will work on any rom which has a kernel which supports usb fast charge
hii, guys i have problem too, unfortunately from yesterday, my phone doesn't charge but it is charging but not showing, it stucks to 42% and usb/Mtp is not recognized after plugin to pc.. i had shown all by pc side there is no problem in my pc but there is problem resides in my phone by the way i am on stock rom, pls help guyss to get rid out of this. I have done everything restart, reset but things aren't my side, i think this is hardware problem. i
