Hi, I love both the big context menus in wm6.5 and phoneAlarm.
For those who have not tried it, phonealarm is a program that was born as a profile selector but now it really allows you to develop nice skins, custom actions, pop up menus... really the combination of skins, profiles and actions lets you tailor the phone functioning and appearance to your needs at each moment of the day.(www.pocketmax.net).
Currently I use wm6.5 with secondtoday+phonealarm or wm6.5 without titanium and phonealarm (depending on the week ). I can not go back to 6.1 but I can not go without PhoneAlarm so I wonder if any body is interested in developing a similar framework as other existing plugins:
- read a picture from registry
- use mortscript to update the registry and the picture and to send phonealarm commandline orders (basically launch contacts, weather, programs, profiles popup menus, cycle backlight, turn on-off bt,wifi,etc, display lots of registry info...)
I did exaclty this in the past with WAD2 instead of titanium (my avatar shows it) but with wm6.5 and titanium should be enough to do it and keep. I think I know how to do it but I am not familiar yet with titanium xml's. Anybody would like to lead the development?

I developed a titanium plug-in for myself and have been testing it. This is my first time doing something like this.
As soon as I can figure out how, I'll post all my source. I haven't figured how to make a cab out of it yet.
I'll definitely share if I can figure out how to package it.

I have a pc where I can not install wince for the time being but if you pm the files I will try to make it the old way (cabwiz) and be your first tester

I found a really software that I want to share with everyone. Thanks to sundar_amn for this great find.
If you guys have seen the LG Prada or the LG Voyager phone, you will noticed that this plugin looks really nice with nice user interface. It might need a lil TWEAk to activate a few programs when pressing the buttons.
So far buttons that does not respond:
In Phone Menu: NewMMS
In Media Menu: Java Manager
In Utility: Voice Recorder brings up Task, instead of Voice Recorder
In Settings Menu: Backlight, USB Stick, Bluetooth, and Power does not respond.
If anyone can tweak this, it would be a great plugin. I'm trying to see through registry and other ways but could not find it.
Also, Software that is packaged into the plugin are PocketCM, GSFinder+, and GSAlarmClock.

I also found an awesome plugin on this site. its called 02 plus, I love it, you can add several pages of icons and all the pages are easily accessabe by named tabs. the ONLY problem i have with it is my dialer pops up randomly.Especially after downloading,installing or changing programs. its such a handy tool im willing to live with the glitch but if anyone knows how to fix this I would greatly appreciate it!!! if anyone is interested in it here is the .cab for it. thanks in advance for any help given.

When i press contacts it opens up pocket cm 13 when i have pocketcm 23!
when i installed this on my mogul i had the home screen customizer running right.
but when i installed this it took it off and instead of this appearing on the bottom of the screen its on the top

XIAMultiTheme is a multi purpose skinnable GUI so you can make your launcher or multiple "today"
Themes are very closer to rlToday but the engine is dll based so if you like to write a widget do it!

Tips:
- Use the installer/Uninstaller exe to first step, than run configurator!
- if you like to use bitmap fonts remember to put 0.png into the folder
- if you like to use TTF fonts remember to call it like it's name ex: Cicago.ttf
- Warning: if you are using a task manager software take care when tapping on OK on today configuration applet because your task manager may not really send "OK" tap!
- to disable unlocker feature simply put an empty theme name
- do not develop theme with a lof of "convert" please use "folder:"
- scroll and DnD are very heavy features, enable if your pda is powerful
- do not forgot to pay me a coffe... it's a GPL opensource XIAProjects product!
How to test/Help me?
- this engine will load rlToday themes test my engine with them! report differences or try make newest with new features like page management!

Could you please explain what to load on to ppc, once that is done I'm sure I can figure out how to use and/or make a theme.

Just simple put folder XIAMultiTheme in to ppc. and run XIAMultiThemeConfiguration for setting XIAMultiTheme.

Does anyone experienced incompatability issues with XIA MultiTheme and SPB Mobile Shell 2.1? XIA MultiTheme works great inside UltimateLauncher however as soon as I install Mobile Shell 2.1 my PPC freezes after bootup...
It may have nothing to do with XIA MultiTheme but just thought I'd try and rule out possibilities given that this application is at alpha or beta level.

One question: Does XIAMultiTheme support image resizing? I've tried setting Width and Height but instead of scaling the image it crops it to the height/width.

I've been using rlToday for more than a year now and really like this fully customizable today plugin. I was really excited when I saw that you've started to implement a similar application that also supports tab switching. I've been playing with it for a while and my first impression is: thumbs up!
Are you also planning to implement rlToday's feature to display a monthly calendar overview? (i.e. show a grid with all the days of the month)

I really hope everything went well today.
I am really looking forward to working with XMT, I have used rlToday for awhile now and enjoy the full control abilities that the app allows. That said I believe XMT will be a killer app. You are probably too far along in design to make this change but it would be good to shorten the program names so that they are legible in the file explorers. The XIAMultitheme..... really gets too long to see which program I am tapping.
Two of my rlToday themes use variations of the calendar as seen in the default rlToday xml which at this poing won't move to XMT and I would like to use some variation of this full month calendar. Is this a part of your current plans or should I plan on coding myself?
Again I hope the exams went well. Glad those days are way behind me.
Hi, first of all I'm a noob, so bear with me, second, thanks for all your great work.
Now, I'm struggling with the XIAMultitheme, I installed as the instruction said, and tried with the Manila and the MiniColor themes, but I always got the same result: a blank screen, only the original wallpaper. I think, that's because the only selected "item" in Settings -> Today -> Personal is XIAMultiTheme....so...where is it?
....what am I doing wrong?!?

One question though: Playing around, I messed with the directories and while I'm trying to uninstall XIAMultiTheme, I get the "Could not execute ...XMT_OnPowerOn.exe" Notification Error Popup. How do I remove it? I have already tried the XIAMultiThemeKiller.exe and XIAMultiThemeUninstall.exe but the popup insists to come up when I turn on the screen.
Any hints?

Hi, thank you to try XMT!
running XIAMultiThemeUninstall.exe will remove the power on notification, if this does not append manually remove using TaskMgr

You can convert MNG, GIF or WPA animated images to XMT supported multiframe vertical film PNG with ImageMagick:

I'm a mod freak and there are somethings i would like to change in this prog.
like the programs "tab" only has 3 rows. i want to make this 4. anyone with a bit of experience possibly from the 2.xx series know where to do it?
the configs are simple ZIP files. Just open the DAT file as a ZIP file or rename it to ZIP.
in order to edit the file you need to put in the password which is:
b0fm18zq
Maybe we could custom tailor it and post the modded DAT files collected here. Most of the 2.xx series of mods/skins are portable with a little or no modification except renaming of some picture files (same password in 2.xx). the possibilities are endless
Please remove or correct my post if I'm violating/doubleposting something here.

I don't know yet. I just played around with it last night before bed. I'm just a NB in this who poked around with this great ap after not being pleased with everything and curious on what could be achived so i dont have alla the answers this is a team effort. hopfully someone with the experience or knowhow checks this. In the meantime we have to do it by trial and error. and map it all as we go along

I have discovered that Topaz enhanced menus works great with SPB MS 3.0 activated (and Manila installed but not activated in the today screen) so so far its a necessary evil to have Manila installed until we know possible witch file or reg settings are needed.

Hi masrterk,
I personally don't agree. i like to taylor make my GUI and of course the tastes differ. For instants.. i would like to have it pretty barebone and point to the prefered app of choice like resco contactmannager or glarm witch are the best! IMHO annyway
BUT if one could integreate them somehow that would be great if you had that choice.
right now its really easy just to link to those apps from the lifestyle screen.

i am trying to figure out how to do something that we were able to do in 2.1, but has been left unoptional in 3.0. I would like to get rid of the calendar on the pro screen. All I want to see is my upcoming appointments (if I have any). I don't want the screen cluttered with a pesky grid-style calendar. I am such a nooB at this it is silly, but here I am, messing around with .dat files......
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
It would be nice to create a backup/restore tool for the settings/today items/widgets/etc...
When updating the rom this would be VERY useful!

There is already one in the SPB Shell settings, click the right softkey in settings and there it is, to the left of the exit button.
I tried it myself today, completely uninstalled mobile shell before I installed the official version, loaded the backup and everything was restored in the new version, included widgets and all

I don't see the grid calendar on my pro screen anymore. On the pro settings page, choose "calendar", then change # of appointments to "as many as possible". After doing this, mine now shows the next two appointments.
Hi all, I seem to be having trouble finding any sort of documentation on how to develop Titanium Plugins for the WM6.5 home screen... Is there any information out there that someone could point me to? My plan is to use Visual Studio 2008 (3.5 .Net) if that makes any difference... Thanks for any help.
Well it's all about interaction with registry. You could also use mortscript. even tho Visual Studio can do it too. You just need to write the needed keys to the registry, and point to them in your .cpr file.

I was trying to figure out a similar thing.
I manually added a panel to Titanium called "Battery". What I wanted was a little tool that put the latest battery charge percentage as the panel name.
After a bit of digging I realised the following code kind of works:

Simply change "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\CHome\battery\Updated" from its current value to another.
Has anyone figured out a way to do a registry update or execute a script when a panel/page is selected in Titanium without having to "click" it to update?
Here's what I'd like to do... let's say I have a Twitter panel that retrieves my unread tweets every NN minutes. Sliding left/right switches between the tweets, but as I slide onto a tweet, I want to mark it from UnRead to Read in a registry setting. I currently can "click" it to update the status to Read, but havn't found anyway to do it otherwise.
I asked this awhile ago, the thread sat and went stale with no responses. Just wondering if someone ran across a new trick.

Okay, I have no ability to create panels and such, However I have 2 ideas for panels. One, the BAF Gps Toggle panel and a notes panel where a new page is created for each note (similar to taskanium) Anyone think they could do these?? Attached is the .cab for the GPS toggle if needed.
Hey all. I'm looking for an XML reference for the Titanium CPR files. Specifiacally, what panels are supported by what versions of Titanium/WM6.5.
Basically, I'm stuck on an older build of WM6.5 (build 21840), and upgrading is NOT negotiable unfortunately. Because of that, I'm finding that many of the new panels for Titanium just aren't working. Weather won't appear, that Hero theme just doesn't work properly... So I'd like to see if I can fix them. However, I really really need to know what panels are going to work on this version! (Assuming that's the problem, of course).
What I'm trying to alter first, is the lockscreen; the Hero lock screen to be exact. I can reposition the "Slide" text, and the animated arrows, but as soon as I add in the "LockScreenPaneView" pane to the CPR file, it reverts to the old WM6.1 lock screen. Clearly, that pane just isn't understood by my version of Titanium.
Alternatively, is there any way to upgrade my version with a newer one, when it's in ROM? If so, where can I get the files?
So I take it that the answer is "No" then?
I find it strange that on a site so well known for providing great hacks, addons and skins etc, that no one is willing to actually share the information on how to do it more widely. It seems that every time someone asks for information on HOW to do things like make your own Titanium panels, or edit Manila for non-HTC devices etc, those that know how just don't want to tell anyone else.
This kind of stuff should be public knowledge.
At least many of the ROM cooks are happy to show people how to do it themselves...
