I have a problem with my HTC magic and my parrot car kit, basically everything works perfect appart from the fact the phone uses its own microphone and not the car kits, anyone know how to fix it?

I'm having trouble getting my 8125 to work with with my Pioneer car stereo (using CD-BT100 module). The phone with see the hands free but not vice versa. It works fine with my Razr but not the 8125. The closest I've been able to come was when I installed pocket bluetooth tools and selected the headset profile it would then pair but absolutely nothing would work, even the phone acted as if there was no hands free when dialing. Is there something I'm missing or another program I haven't found that will help me, or is the phone just not compatable? Thanks.
Your not doing anything wrong
Your not doing anything wrong. I have your exact same setup and all I can get to work is the BT audio. No phone at all. The pioneer unit acts like the phone isn't even there. I had a V3 Razr and it worked OK on mine too. It looks like the pioneer unit does not like something about the windows bluetooth setup. Hopefully this will be taken care of in a future ROM update.
Hey all,
I have a Siemens HKW-600 Bluetooth car kit for my Atom - only problem is the caller hears a massive echo of themselves when speaking. For me in the car everything is fine.
I believe this is because the Atom does not have a car kit profile - it sees the car kit as a headset, and it leaves the Atom microphone enabled when connected to the car kit.
Is there some way to disable the built-in mic when connected to the car kit? I'd settle for a manual disable with a custom application, is this possible?
I have an Old Motorola car kit, I am using it with my Atom, and I am not having any problem .
is your Motorola car kit bluetooth?

Yes, thought it was mentioned
Just bought a x7501 and I love it so far with 1 exception, it doesnt appear to like my bluetooth car kit in my 2007 nissan altima
It paired perfectly and everything seemed to go ok, but when I receive a call I can pick it up with the car kit but then it drops the call off the car kit (within 1-2 seconds) then reconnects but without sound (I cant hear people through the device speaker or the car kit). Whats weird is it does not drop the call, it seems to lose connection with the car kit then reestablish (the call timer goes 00:00, 00:01, 00:02, CALL ENDED, 00:00, 00:01, 00:02).
My x7501 seems to work fine with my BT800 headset, and the car kit worked perfectly with my old cingular 8125 (wm5). I did some searching on the forums and saw people with similar issues with car kits but nothing quite like this and nothing specific to this device...On my old 8125 I was using a replacement widcomm stack, is there a replacement stack for the athena I could try to see if it solves my issues?
I have Jetware installed, tried with and without it same problem.

Hi,
try the following:
Before you enter your car, disable bluetooth on the x7501. (Make sure your headset is turned off to prevent autoreconnection from your headset to your x7501)
Enter the car, turn on bluetooth on the x7501 and after that turn on your car kit.
This procedure helped me with nearly the same problem.
Cheers

haha yea i thought about that as i got int the car. sadly i tried it and it didnt work, any other ideas?
Whats weird is the cingular 8525 is on the official approved working devices list on the nissan website. I assume the 8525 uses the default microsoft bt stack which gives me some home. Could it just be registry setting differences between the device that would cause the problem?
Hello all,
Does anyone have a recommended bluetooth car kit which they have successfully used with the Magic? I'm talking about any of the "newer" generation of car kits, which sychronise your contacts on the car kit display...
Anyone?
I've got Parrot CK3000 Evolution and it does work with Magic, however, there are two problems with it:
1. Sometimes (more often than not) the phone is connecting to Parrot after 4-5 minutes, even if it is the only phone registered with the kit.
2. It is not possible to transfer phonebook to the kit, and even if I transfer it from laptop, then the kit still refuses to do voice dialing (built-in one, not on HTC).
Contact synchronysing works fine on my Peugeot 207, which has the parrot CK 4100 device.
But I have another problem, the sound isn't transfered to the car speaker despite the fact that all wheel-on-command are working....
any ideas...
I've got the same malfunctions with my CK4100 and my HTC Cruise. I'm testing with my Rhodium.
I've read about updating the BT CarKit (KC 20/KC21, sogt 4.8->5.1) to fix it...
Have you any new about that?
Hi,
I have a SE hcb300 bluetooth car kit which worked perfectly with HTC cruise.
I upgraded to HD2 and now i have some problems with it.
I can pair my phone with the BT but i cant accept or initiate calls from the car kit. ( I know that HD2 has no voice commands so not being able to dial out is not such an issue but i want to be able to accept calls from the cat kit).
If I dial out or accept a call from the phone itself it is transferred via the car kit's speaker.
i read that the problem is in the BT stack used in HD2.
Is there a way to change it or is there any rom that uses a different BT stack?
Thanks,
David
I have never used any bluetoothheadphoes or car kits with my HD2, but it does have voice commands - if you download and install Microsoft Voice Command v1.6.
The voice commands feature is less important - I really need the ability to accept calls with the car kit.
Will android installation help?
Hi !
Exact same issue since months with my HTC HD2 on my Audi S3, never been able to find any working solution yet :-(
Seems to me that HTC and MS doesn't really care.
