What is your screen resolution? - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

This is just a poll to know most popular resolutions as it will help the developers to know the most popular resolutions.
Fix: WQVGA is 400x240

you should maybe edit this to allow multiple votes, since many people here have more than one device, i for one have qvga AND vga for instance.

Great poll!
Cheers,

Ah, and another thing... I'll buy Topaz soon.
Currently I'm on Polaris, which I may sell or may sell not (then we have Chef_Tony's situation).
What answer should I give?

WQVGA is 240x400 isn't it...? At least my Omnia is. may want to fix that.

Actually it might be. I haven't been able to test it. IF you install the Opera CAB and not the skin CAB it might be but don't take my word for it. Haven't had time to test it fully yet. I'm running it only on my Athena.

I am glad that I am off for the next few days, I am going to test all these new apps and rom coming out.
Great job brother
Thanks 4 the new updates....
shouldn`t we make one thread about opera 9.5, think there will come more versions ????
Will any version of opera work on a NIKI With a suretype keyboard?

Not yet. These are officially beta's. I think the appropriate time to create the "master" thread is once we have word of an official final release. Of course, anyone can disagree with me.
Thanks, great software!
But, in my Cruise, the buttons are too big.
Maybe this is not a QVGA version?
Fast and stable, better than the 781 build
Is this compatible with WM5 - Or should i wait for that CAB before i attept an install?
Cheers, Mike.

Polaris trasformed in Diamond

Is there any way to transform the Polaris exactly as the Diamond? all these roms available doesn't seem to do that!

Armando we will give you the benefit of the doubt since that was your first post.
Diamond runs at 520mhz and Polaris only at 400mhz. If everything could be ported then we would have an even slower Polaris. So the best is to have a fast look alike than a slow true fake. Don't you agree? Anyway you could try the pdamobiz roms with a flo3d replacement.
if you want a Diamond then go buy one.. gezzz you can't please everyone i guess.

I believe this video is made by someone of the P3D team. It was just a test if it would run and as i recall only the clock was working and not the rest. So i think touchflo 3d has to wait till the 3d drivers are finished.
Old vid; read the 3D topic. The sticky one.

Thanks at least some one see's what happened that is a huge thread and i found nothing mentioning touchflo3d from a quick scout
I'll be totally honest with the Diamond/Polaris thing...
I did want a Diamond way back, but because it was NOT available here in Honduras, i HAD to buy the Polaris...
At first i saw it,,, sluggish with no drivers, crap 3d, etc...
so i said,, "sigh *birds chirping in the background* one day i'll buy me a diamond...", then i remembered this page from when i was doing my HTC research on wether to buy one or not... so i came back ,and... well..
im here
and like i said in the 3D drivers thread:
DIAMOND AINT GOT NOTHIN' ON POLARIS.
'nuff said. (oh, by the way yes, thats a little period right...a bit more to the right...quite...there ^ )
the video dont show a full working manila 3d, relax guys. If it was fully working, dont you think the video would show us a bit more?
but ofcourse, its a step on the way

Me too, exactly: I had a Polaris, sold it, bought a Diamond, sold it, re-bought a Polaris.
Reason: Polaris is a PDA, Diamond a nice phone, nothing else
Also batista had a polaris, then a diamond and then a polaris again.
Think about this people...

simple question...
1st off what device?
2nd how much ram/rom?
hardware specs must be met before any effort is made or its just wasted time...
and since my polaris doesn't have enough ram/rom to handle it i cant port it...
its built for powerful devices for a reason...
cheers

if you do a search on m3d qvga, you will see that it was ported a long time ago the problem is missing needed hardware/drivers...the phone wont go into sleep mode best i can remember. seems to me like you could test it on your device even without it ported just to see if it would run(dont think it will correctly)...try vga sense and see what happens.

Thanks. I was fully aware of that. My point is that using that one should be able to achieve more or less the same result that we would have by porting Manila 2.1 or 2.5.
the guys at lg-incite.com are porting it to wqvga if anyone is interested.

Any News on it so far !
What if all 3D capabilities are removed , We already know Sense needs 3D hardware but i am sure it can be ported without 3D acceleration with static images.
Looking forward to some magic !

LOL, I don't think that this would ever becoming true! Even with a successful ported Sense 2.1/2.5, our Nike will be at it's limit to handle Sense!

Only dreaming geniuses made huge inventions in history, don't they?
But I think you won't be successful in porting it without proper 3D hardware drivers since Sense 2.1/2.5 refers to some OpenGL functions provided by the MSM72xx hardware!
But anyway, good luck! Would be really great if I could fail with my down-to-earth thoughts!

That is interesting indeed. Can someone make a simple app to try this out on? See if it's a practical solution? I haven't done any programming in years so it would probably take me weeks to do myself.
