Hello
Is there a software that enables starting an application using the button on the wired or bluetooth headset. This would be beneficial in starting a voice dialing application using a bluetooth headset for example.
Thanks

Hi. I have a Spring ppc-6700 running wm5 with the latest rom.
My problem is that I cannot use the BT headset to talk on Skype or to listen to music from the computer. I do not know how to switch to the headset. It's paired and i see the headset icon on the screen. Before the latest rom i used to press the action button on the headset and it would switch to it. Now when i press the button i get this annoying voice dialing feature.
OT: When i use skype it only works in speakerphone mode. Any way i can get skype to work through the earpiece so emulate talking on the phone?
Thanks.
This is normal behavior.
Skype does not support the phone functions on Pocket PC and so your (mono) Bluetooth headset does not get its sound. The same happens for ANY application that is not part of the "phone" functionality of the Pocket PC. The mono Bluetooth headsets ONLY work with applications that recognize the "HSP or HFP Bluetooth profiles".
>Any way i can get skype to work through the earpiece
There are two ways to do that:
1. Email Skype and tell them to get their sh*t together and provide a phone-friendly version of Skype that supports HSP/HFP.
2. Buy a *stereo* Bluetooth headset. This will work both for music and general pocketPC sound (in A2DP/AVRCP mode) and in HFP/HSP mode (for phone calls). With a stereo Bluetooth headset you can hear the Skype sound on your headphones, but you will still need to talk using the PocketPC's microphone (until Skype supports the HSP/HFP profile that is). For normal phone calls, you will be able to use the headphones and microphones of the BT headset directly.
It all boils down to applications support the HSP/HFP BT profile.
i've used the bluetooth headset with skype before but after this update with the stupid voice dialer app, i just can't get it to work at all. I want to get rid of voice dialer app. and have sound being routed to the headset as before.
I tried BTAudioToggle.exe with no success. Absolutely nothing happens.
FIXED.
I went to
HK_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VOICECOMMAND\Path
And cleared the path. This way when i press the bluetooth button on the headset it just activates the headset profile but doesn't launch the stupid voice dialer which shuts off the headset profile.
I posted the same on Howard-Forums but no reply :-(
Is there any specific profile that the bluetooth headset needs to support in order to use it with Microsoft Voice Command ?
I have an iTech R35 Clip bluetooth headset. The headset supports Hands Free, Headset and Wireless Stereo.
When I set it as Hands Free, wneh I receive a call I can hear on the headset who is calling but I can not answer the phone using the button on the headset (it does not do anything). When I set it as Headset, I can answer the phone but voice command does not announce who is calling.
Using both settings (Hands Free or Headset), when the phone is idle, pressing the button on the headset will activate voice command BUT I can only use the phone's mic to enter commands (it does not accepts commands using the headset's mic).
I have done all the registry hacks to de-activate the SDDialer and activate Microsoft's Voice Command.
So some questions:
- Anyone with the iTech R35 out there that successfully is using this headset with Tytn and Microsoft Voice command with the ability to "speak" commands on the headset's mic ???
- Anyone out there with any other stereo bluetooth headset (preferably with ear buds) that successfully is using MS Voice Command with their headset (including the ability to "speak" commands using the headset's mic)?
Read the wiki!
There tends to be no reply here if the subject has been covered thoroughly in the wiki. If you take a look at the TyTN wiki here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_Utils at the section marked Use MS Voice Command instead of the built-in Cyberon Voice Dialer and the corresponding forum thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=59541 then you should find answers to most of your questions and more.
Have you tried the Cyberon Voice Commander program from the Dopod extended rom? I think MS Voice Command can be picky about headsets; i am using the full Cyberon prog with a Nokia HS-12W A2DP headset and just picked up a V-3 BTH8 headset and both work no problem with my TyTN for voice dialling and starting programs. It differs from VC in some functionality but for voice dialling they are basically the same.
I have a Sprint 6900 Touch running the stock version of WM6.1. If I enable the Bluetooth audio gateway using acbToggleBT, to listen to music, the volume is low. Its also low when I enable Voice Command through the Bluetooth headset. If my wired stereo headset is plugged into the bottom of the phone and I enable the Bluetooth audio gateway using acbToggleBT then it sounds great. I have tried several things to figure out what is going on and have come to one possible solution.
I need an application that would force my phone into the headset profile. If I enable the Bluetooth gateway without a headset plugged in I believe the phone is in the hands-free profile and not the headset profile. I know I can do this manually by plug-in in the headset connector but can this be done via a program? I would like to have a program launch the headset profile then launch the Bluetooth audio gateway.

Hi all,
I've hardware plugged my Athena to my car radio to hear music. For using the phone funtion I have a BT headset which works with MS Voice Comand.
When having the audio manager running and activating Voice Comand I get the music suddenly through my headset what makes it very difficult to use Voice Comand.
What can I do ?
Thanks in advance

Good day Dieterpapa.
You can try to disable the wireless stereo in the BT settings.
When you pairing the device, this service could be enable.
Regards.
Hi EAlvarado,
my headset only allows 'handsfree' profile but not 'bt stereo'. My problem must be solved somehow different.....

Hi,
did anyone managed to use skype with a bluetooh headset? In particular, I would like to use this version with americanandroid:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16889575&postcount=1262
Because I like to use the video chat function which works with my Hd2 with aca.
I have the plantronics voyager pro bt headset which supports the AD2P protocol. With this bt protocol I can use the speaker of my bt headset with skype, but the mic isn't working.
With older official skype versions, I was able to use both, speaker and mic, with a bluetooth headset in conjunction with the app "ear buddy". But this app is not supporting skype version 2.1.0.46_v11. By the way, this app worked, but was a bit buggy.
One more thing, when I press the bluetooth toggle button in the skpye program Skype_2.1.0.46_v11, my device freezes.
Thank you for your help
any news on the bt issue?
