Hi GUys
I would like to know if there is a way to deactivate all the bottom buttons that are on the face of the x1.
Through the winMo settings I was able to deactivate both silver buttons, but I would now like to deactivate the rest of the button ( phone button/x panel button/ ok button/end call button )
Im prettu sure it can be done via the registry I think,
Anyways please let me know if you have any idea,

I would like to set up a shotcut to the call logs, using one of the buttons, it seems like the only thing can be done it creating one to the contact list..does anyone know hot to create a shotcut to the 'calls log'. usiong one of the buttons or the navigations keeys ??

Hey all,
One off the pet hates i have about the hermes as compared to the wizard is the loss off the volume adjust on the left hand side.
I like the scroll wheel on the hermes but i hate that it doesn't automatically activate the volume bar, having to get out the stylus and tap the volume icon, or smudge up the screen trying to clumsily tap it with my thumb is annoying.
Is there anyway of making a press and hold of the wheel activate the volume? or anything along those lines?
I'm sure I'm not the only one with this pet hate.

i would love this feature.. i miss it from my wizard
I have been trying to do this as well with key mapping software. However I cant find one that will open up the volume controls when I press a specific button. I am able to map presses to volume up/down but thats not what i want. Hopefully somebody else has a solution.
I know exactly what you guys mean.
@Knockz... have you tries this already with AE Button Plus? The new version better recognizes keys that the older versions could not.

Think I may have the solution to your needs:
What I've done is use this portions of Wisbar (WisVol.exe) someone extracted from the full program.
Copied WisVol.exe to SD Card under programs
Made a Shortcut to: \Windows\Start Menu (with Resco Explorer)
Mapped my PTT Key to the new shortcut
Now I can access the volume with out using my stylus.
I use the PTT open the volume settings and the wheel to increase or decrease the volume.

Thanks Jac, I will have to give this a try. I should be able to map the exe directly to a key using aebutton plus. Hopefully this works.
PERFECT!!!! Just gave it a try. Linked my PTT key to the program using AEButtons Plus and now when I press it I can scroll my volume.

I've been using Wisbar Volume for quite a while and it's been wonderful...
To give back a little here is a cab I've made for easy install and removal with a shortcut to start menu (sorry no graphics for the shortcut)
I've also been using for a while the Wisbar Volume control above...it works great!

Was wondering do any of you wonderful people know how to turn of the shortcut for the auto algin screen. I have a HTC Touch diamond and everytime you Push the Volume key and action key at the same time it launches the algin screen Very frustraing in GBA how can i disable this...?
I think you mean allign? Don't know how to turn it off though, my solution was to change the buttons so the combination is never used. I think the combination was volume up and OK

I have tried that, but there are not enough buttons on htc Diamond... the only keys i can map are the Centre key the 2 volume keys and the back button. the rest dont work..... but thanks any way
Hi, just a noob question..
when I go to settings>buttons i can only set up one button, the one that says (button 1). I can assign the other programs to the other 3 buttons available, the only problem is i dont know how to access those buttons? i mean where are they supposed to be on the device to press? the button 1 is the call button i believe, so where are the other 3 ?
any help appreciated.
Not all can be configured by default. Try AE Button.

Hi guys, I'm having troubles with one of the functions of the volume buttons on the side of the phone. When the phone is locked and someone rings me when I press either up or down I put the phone in silent - I want this thing off, it is pretty easy to accidently press it and miss a call - I did it a lot! Any help, please?

Thanks, mate! Is this program confirmed to work on touch2? I've read somewhere that it can mess all of my buttons if it is not designed for my device or something like that.
EDIT: Okay it works, but is there any app or registry that can allow me to turn off only the function "Mute" when someone is ringing? This things shuts down the buttons completely and I don't have a volume control when I'm in the windows

It works on my Touch2 perfectly !
Just a hint, I have only disabled the "volume-up" button. If you press "volume-down" first, then "volume-up" works as usual !

I have a very similar problem (using Touch2, T-Mobile, German version), although in may case the Volume Up button seems to dismiss the call (the caller is rerouted to my mailbox).
What I want is: simply deactivate the Volume Up button when the device is locked.
I read much about AE Buttons Plus, however I also read much about this app using up battery, and I don't want that. I really ONLY need this single feature, so I don't want to use a bloated app which cooks coffee, washes my cloths and so on... you know what I mean.
Anyone knows how I could do that? Is there a reg key or a tiny app just for this?
Or can anyone at least tell me how I can use AE Buttons Plus without the battery draining?
