Hi Folks, when I activate the geo tagging option at taking a picture, it shows a symbol on the screen and it could find a GPS signal. After taking a photo and importing that to google maps, no GPS data is shown. Someone expirienced the same problem ? Cheers D
Had the GPS symbol in the camera stopped moving? If not, it didn't have a GPS fix when you took the picture....
yes, the symbol changed to a kind of graticule (hope it is the right english word) on, so should be fine, but no GPS data after importing that to maps.
This happened to me as well but I uploaded the photo to Flickr & when I check out the picture details everything was there even the camera I used (T-mobile G2). I think they call this meta data & its part of a jpeg file that keeps information about the picture like thumbnails, sixe & dimentions etc.
Just a little bit annoyed that I cant use that data in footprints

Anyone know of a good gps logging so i can sync up with my photo taken digital cam?
can you be more explicit? Are you looking for an app that can do gps looging or do you want to take GPS Photos with your phone?

GPS Photo can be enabled with a registry mod
To enable GPS Photo mod:
Go to HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\P10
set "Enable" to "1"
BSB and XT Hack both have options in them to activate these hidden camera modes, but none of the modes actually work. Burst and Sports don't work at all and the geotag on the GPS photos doesn't show the correct position when you right click on the photo in Album and select 'Show on map' - on my phone it is at least 30 miles to the east in every instance.
Has anyone found a way of making these modes function correctly (i.e. later camera drivers) or are they all disabled by default as there is no way of making them function properly?
I'm running with Steve and Miri's latest Elegancia v8.0 ROM (2.13 base) so should have the latest camera drivers already.
My setup shows the location of photographs properly. I have installed the latest version of Google Maps.
I wondered if this worked for me because I live near 0° longitude but then took pictures in France that were located correctly too.
If there's anything that I can check or send to you that might help, please let be know.
I was wondering if anyone else has had problems or found a way to geotag pictures taken with their camera. I'm running Darkstone's Hd2Froyo build and have my GPS enabled (even see it on the bar at the top) and have location logging turned on in the camera app.
But sadly after I take pictures and go to look at the details, it always shows unknown location.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

How can I get the camera to use the GPS to store location info in the photo EXIF header? I have looked at the photo header for a photo taken by my galaxy s3 and there is no GPS related data as opposed to a photo taken by an iPhone.
Can anyone provide any pointers to solve this issue?
