When you turn on the switch, does the top-left LED blink green?
Also, what happens in the Comm Manager when you turn on the Wi Fi switch?

What do you mean? which switch, the wifi switch? no lights come on when I switch on Wifi...
When I turn Wifi on and off, The Comm Managers "Flight Mode" Button Turns on And Off... But thats when PHONE is also off... If phone is on, and I switch Wifi on/off, nothing happens

Sounds like you might have a broken switch or a bad wifi chip.

No....
I'm pretty sure the switch is fine.... even if the switch was broken, I could turn wifi on and off manually...
I'm not exactly sure why the wifi chip would be bad... The phone is almost new....
I'm asking for any fixes or any programs for my pocket pc that might fix this? I really don't want to mess with the hardware...
I'm pretty sure its the software anyway...

I think Drewcam may be right. If your switch (and there is only one switch on our phones - the WiFi switch) does not cause the top-left LED to blink green, and activating WiFi in the Comm Manager doesn't do it either, there is something really wrong. You may want to try flashing back to stock. And if that doesn't work, bring it to your carrier's store because you have a broken part of the phone.

I have the exact same problem and the exact same result with the "fix"....

Um....
Well, there is a green LED that flashes every few seconds, but it flashes even when Wifi is OFF...
I'm going to try to reflash to stock rom, anyone have a link to it?

I have semi-good news!
I reflashed to verizons stock rom, and after a hour or two, I checked my phone, and It had found my router (and two green LEDs were flashing) ... I could not connect because the security key was wrong, and soon after, I lost the connection...
A few minutes after that, it detected my router again... and lost it again....
Is this a good sign? The wifi started working randomly, and it stopped working randomly, I'm beginning to think there may be a loose connection...

It sounds as if you have a broken WiFi switch, but I'm glad you had it working temporarily. If you can get it to stay in the "on" position, then you can use the software to turn it on/off. Unfortunately, it doesn't work if the switch is stuck on "off".

Wi-Fi is neither on nor off

Hey all,
I somehow managed to screw up my Wi-Fi so it now appears to be turned on, even though it's not. The problem is, I can't turn it on..or off. Comm manager won't work. The Connections icon on the top bar of the today screen shows it as on and connected, when I click the icon the big button seems to let me turn the Wifi off, but when I hide the panel and show it again, it stays the same as before. And the other text on the panel writes "Turn Wi-Fi On". Umm..the last few sentences might look a bit confusing..well I have the Laurentius WM6 ROM (AKU 0.5 update 1 I think) so apart from the standard Turn Wi-Fi On/Off text (that looks like an internet link ), there's also a big button serving the same purpose. And simply put, the button looks as if the Wi-Fi was on, and the "link" as if it was off. I hope you get what I'm trying to say here Anyway, I tried hard-reseting the device and everything got fine again, until I restored my full backup (created by Sprite Backup 5 about a minute before the hard reseting). After that, the WiFi problem is back. Anyone got an idea what it could be caused by or what to do to get rid of it please?
Many thanks, Longlife
Well, the problem is solved, dunno how it happened but now everything works just fine Sorry for bothering :S

Mobile network stopped working MoDaCo 1.1

So, my brother and I have been running MoDaCo 1.1 core for a couple days now.
My phone has stopped connecting to the mobile network. All it says when I try to connect is "Standby for connecting to mobile network" with a green checkbox. I also notice now when I select the checkbox to connect it turns green instantly and shows that standby message. Before it would take a couple seconds to connect and turn green.
I have tried changing the mode of operation and it still doesn't want to connect. There is no 1x or EVDO in the notification bar. Wifi and GPS still work fine.
My brother's phone is still working fine. I have no idea what the problem can be.
Anybody else having this problem with MoDaCo 1.1?
I think that it has something to do with airplane mode. I enabled airplane mode yesterday, then turned it off. I didn't realize my data wasn't working after that since I don't use it while I'm at home. I am not sure if that is exactly the problem, just trying to think about how it could have stopped working.
I've noticed mine will do this at random on the MoDaCo 1.1 ROM. Every now and then I'll look at my phone and realize my EV symbol at the top is gone and I have no network connection. When this happens both the option in Settings and the small on/off widget on one of my home screens say it's still turned on. If I turn it off and back on, then I just get the "Standby for connecting to mobile network" message too. The only way I've found to get it to work again is to reboot the phone.
FYI this same problem happens to me with the stock ROM, even when it wasn't rooted. I've noticed it only happens when you turn airplane mode on, and then off.
Hmmm...I never touch airplane mode and I never saw this happen once in the month that I had the phone with the stock ROM. Maybe my problem is unrelated then.
Even when I reboot my phone it still doesn't work. I have tried messing around with the widgets turning things on and off multiple times and still nothing can get it working again.
I just went back to an old nandroid backup from before I put MoDaCo 1.1 on the phone and it seems to be working again. I'm going to put 1.1 on again. I'll use it for a while and try to recreate the problem to figure out exactly what it is.
Sprint/HTC has to fix that. it's a bug.

Lose service, it never comes back

Lately, I've been having an issue where if I go into an area with no service (or at least I think I have no service) I never get service again, even when I'm in areas where I know I have strong service. Sometimes if I go into airplane mode and back, it comes back, sometimes it doesn't, and sometimes when this happens, and I turn on airplane mode and turn it off again, the phone shuts itself off and I have to manually power it back on.
Anyone have this issue, or know what could be going on?

I have this same issue myself. Dunno what it is and wasn't able to fix it either. You can look through my comments to find an identicle thread I started a couple of days ago on this same issue titled "Data connection issue" to see if it helps.
I'll have airplane mode on for awhile but when I finally turn it off I get 3g data showing in the status bar but only one of the arrow's will light up if I try to use the browser and eventually sputters out. Same thing would happen with the Quicksettings app when I would turn off the apn data toggle for awhile, when I turn it back on there is no real data connection even though the 3g is showing...
I've tried the whole thing about pressing the #4#... etc to turn off the radio and turn it back on again but nothing works for me. I wish someone knew how to fix this
mine does the same thing. the only thing that works for me is turning it off and back on again. such a PITA.
mine does it also
I fixed my similar 3g problem by (re)flashing the radio from recovery.

same problem i just restart
same problem sometimes...i just switch airplane mode on and off and it usually fixes
Old bug: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=2845
I'm hoping that Froyo finally brings a fix for this (and full Exchange calendar), or it's Craigslistville for my N1.

This or a restart will always fix the problem when this happens to me.

I'm crossing my fingers that this'll be remedied in the update..

Wi-fi is bricked

Ok, so my phone has this problem where it keeps turning on and off randomly, which I think is now known is an issue with some LG G2's and you know I hate it but I guesss I can live with it. Even though if any of you have a solution for that please tell me. But now one time when it turned off and then powered back on, the wifi stopped working. I don't mean my network, I mean the actual wifi on my phone. When I scroll down my notification bar, the wifi logo is grey but it's flashing, like it usually does when you turn it on, but it doesn't turn blue. When I got to the wifi section on my setting, the on and off switch is greyed out (but faintly blue, even though you can't touch it), and when I tap on the wifi section itself, it just says "wifi turning on.." HELP PLEASE

re flash the rom. i have things happened like that before, wiping all and flashing another rom fix, or go back to stock, sometimes the options settings are grey out. that fixes it.

Bluetooth won't turn on after in Airplane mode

Not sure if any one else sees this issue but whenever I turn on Airplane mode and turn it off after a while, the bluetooth doesn't turn back on until reboot, I have tried to turn it back on either via the Bluetooth toggle or enable Bluetooth in Settings. When I tried to turn it on the switch would be shown as on but there is no connected device and I could not refresh the device list (the option is greyed out), and if I leave that Bluetooth screen and go back in again, the status is shown as of again. The only way to fix that is via reboot. Wifi and LTE signals are all OK though.
Does anyone else have this problem? I have a script to turn on airplane mode whenever I get no cellphone signal to save battery, but now I have to disable this to keep my Bluetooth connection on so that I can use the wristband.

Move to Oreo Beta2 .. that problem is definitely gone. I see some random reboots, but other than that the Beta2 update has been a solid improvement.
