User interface yrgo 2.3 beta 5

Hi guys,
I have released new yrgo 2.3 beta 5 so you can check it out on my forum here.
If you are new in yrgo - yrgo is highly customizable User Interface Shell written for Windows Mobile 5/6 Professional devices. It allows much more that any other Shell and goes more deep into the system - the memory footprint is also held low.
I highly recommend to see the presentation video (the video was recorded with older version - doesn't have as nice graphic as it is there now and it has much less functionality, but it is good to understand yrgo's concept).
So let me know what do you think .
UPDATED: There's a bug in the version I linked to my forum - it has only Czech version. Please scroll down the thread there, download English.zip a follow the instructions in the post to get the English version working. Sorry for that.

Oh yes,
the gadgets for almost all resolutions are not arranged properly - it is still the beta version and I will work on this this week.
But you can of course easily re-arrange it however you want very easily (just check the video I have mentioned above).

it is really nice and fast. on start up there was too much gadgets on screen, I would say try to make the desktop really clean aligned properly on startup. but it's a good work you're doing.
I'm not sure if this is a bug: using the file manager to explore my windows directory seems to hang the app, or maybe my windows directory is just really big. after it hanged and I terminated it manually, the app still populated my top and bottom bar, and half my screen, I had to soft reset.
plus how to change background?

thanks for your feedback. I'll check out the problem with Windows folder.
To change the background image, just find such image in the yrgo's file explorer and use Context menu and scroll down to get ability to use such image as a desktop background.

I really like your app. your design mode is very innovative, resizeable icons, etc.
*why the "hide" button? after going deep in the settings and want to go back to the home screen I had to click back button all the way back to home. it is possible to make the hide button "home" button so one click will bring me back to home? I know I can click on an empty spot and it will bring me to home, but I don't think everyone will know that.
*when not in full screen mode some of the icons/info is cut off at the bottom because the icons\layout doesn't resize accordingly.
*is it possible to add the "running applications" button as a gadget?
*also could there be some transition effect from desktop to desktop?
know I'm asking for a lot but I wouldn't be saying anything if I didn't like the app.

Yes, you're right. It makes more sense to have button "Home" instead of "Hide". I'll change it.
I know about the problem when switching off the full screen mode. The previous version had auto-rearraning the gadgets but it made a big mess when you switched from landscape/portrait mode so I temporarily removed it.
Yes, running appliactions can be add to the desktop easily - as any other item in yrgo - just 'tap and hold' on the Running application icon a use "Add to desktop"
Yep, some transition effect would be nice - but at this moment it is not my priority. I need to release current 2.3 as soon as possible. After that I'll start to think about new feature.

Need help with new wm6.5 rom and S2U2

Hi there,
I just upgraded to a wm6.5 rom with s2u2 preinstalled, so I tried it and am pretty happy not having to search for the unlock button anymore.
I installed the tPRO2 skin and set the same wallpaper as in tf3d, so it looks a bit like part of the system.
I've still got two problems:
I'm used to do multitasking, for example when browsing with Opera I sometimes press the home key and start word mobile or such to look up passwords etc. Usually, I'd be able to switch back to the running opera with the tf3d task list, but on this rom, leaving an application immediately kills it. I made sure it's not just the tf3d task list by looking up the running programs with the wm task manager. When s2u2 kicks in, the running applications are left alone. Does anyone have an idea what causes the programs to be killed?
Second, I'd like s2u2 to only show the unlock bar instead of the tf3d slider. This way, it would look much more like a part of the system - is this possible?

Edit: the rom is NmLs v1.5.1, i just found out this is tf3d2 beta. haven't seen any changes so far, but the rom thread says so.

PocketPlayer 4.1 and Imagio (WM 6.5 issue?)

Not sure if this is the right place to put this, but it seems like it's as close as its going to get.
In doing some searches it seemed like at least in June there were problems using PocketPlayer 4.1 on the WM6.5 roms. I just got an Imagio yesterday and there still seems to be issues--but I can't find if there's a solution or not.
The problem is that many of the settings (for instance, where I first noticed it was in the podcast settings--I can't change any of them so I can't set it to use cell signal to download anything, for example). The advanced settings just don't change no matter what I do. Also, a new skin copied to the correct directory on the device doesn't show up in the list of skins even after the program has been totally shut down and restarted.
So, anyone know of a solution? I've got an email into Conduits but I haven't heard back. Hopefully they get back to me soon as I'd like to give them my $20, but not till this is resolved!

It's a great program. I hope they make these menus a bit more finger friendly like they did with the rest of the application.

WHAT DOES IT DO
WM65StartSort is a utility to sort your Windows Mobile 6.5 start menu. It's designed to be used with the newer versions of 6.5 (such as 23075 or above). It will scan both your registry and your file path and attempt to create an accurate sort.
There aren't a lot of options yet, but it does sort files before folders and is smart enough to handle the HOME link properly.
Requirements
Must be running a WM 6.5.1 build (tested with 23075)
Must have the developement cert installed.
For right now, just uncompress the archive and copy the executable to your device. Once it leave's beta I'll take the time to cab it up.

this is a good idea. I like the new sense roms but really miss the old HOME or even PROGRAMS tabs (9 icons on the home tab is ridiculously low). with 6.5 its just a jumbled mess (feels like such a step back to me) that I dont even know what ive got installed. things i would love to see:
The ability to create folders then drag icons into folders
The ability to lay it out better - change from 3-5 icons per row, to NOT have Hexagon but look like PROGRAM tab etc

Yea, the second shot up there is my own custom start menu based off of the work someone did here for the Ralph. I hate the grid menu and think it works much better this way. If enough people want that I'll attach that as well.

Nope, I've been swamped at work. The app seems to be working pretty well. I just need create a .CAB.

the first has been possible since WM 6.1 (maybe earlier but i never had one)
just take the explorer to the windows\start menu folder on your device. there you can create folders and move items to any desired folder, sorting has to be done manually by the bring to top option in the start menu itself.
(or if you use 6.5.1 you couldd try the program above to sort i believe)

there are multiple ways to up the hometab shortcuts from 9 to 12,16 or 20. it has some bugs but i mean common it's not even supposed to be on this phone. btw way you should know what you have installed because umm you installed it
the second thing about the start menu is very much possible.

[Q] Two Start Menu Icon

hi all. after installing turkish language cab, my start menu lock icon seems like start button icon. it happens only wm6.5.x roms. doesnt happen wm6.5 roms.
is there any way to change it via registy or something else?

no. thats the way 6.5.x is. if you want start button up, install 6.5... the performance is basically the same(not a fact, i just think so)...

actually it wasnt that i asked. i just get back to wm6.5. thanks anyway.
