Your nice and small memory saving utilities! [edited]

Hey all, i'm always in a hassle to find a good battery monitor for my magician, i've tried a lot of them and it seems any make my day... so what are you guys using?
edit: keep the small and usefull utilities comming

I'm using the icon that comes with SPB gprs Monitor, it's small, clear (though hard to see what's exact state) & it doesn't cost me any space, since I want to see the gprs connectionspeed anyway.

I just install the battary patch enabling a small and "tranditional" batary status at the right corner of title bar.

Lets you close apps and can show a battery/memory meter too.

while we are on the topic of battery status/indicator, remember the buzz's e-status software?? thers so many version floating around in this forum.. im using that, but i read in the thread thers a problem abt battery drain for using it.. which one is the safe version?? anyone post the correct nice one here?? thanks..

no not really.. i jus downloaded the one i like.. which is the top bar version.. but they all seems a hybrid of some kind.. one could b good and the other bad.. i didnt really read the thread at 1st either till later on..

they're just the program icons:MDict,Resco Explorer,Scientific Calculator,TeamOne Reader,and Windows Note...u can add/remove the programs as your wish by tapping 'n holding the spb_plus area.Then,I like to set them to "Large Icon" for my huge fingers-to the small phone of course.

Yeah I'm glad I'm following the board for a few months now. There are some threads full off good little apps. & other tips. It's only very hard to catch them all in one aggregated thread.

Remove Toolbar/Line with Calendar & Contacts on Today Sc

I no longer require the Toolbar/Line with Calendar & contacts on my Today Screen on my MDA. How can I delete that from my Today Screen?

dcinobar is not working for me. I have a 8125 and im using wisbar advance. I also use phm traylaunch. When i click the dcinobar.exe file, I jus get a bluish bar across the bottom where my softkeys were. My wisbar theme is black btw. How can i fix this?

Anyone have the same problem??

You need a theme that is larger to fit in the space. Try the default tsk or guava bubbles and you will see what i mean.

vjtoggletoday works great for me (Cing 8125). Dcinobar did not.
There is another thread that states to set your vjtoggletoday top bar value to 26 and low bar value to 1. Maybe this is the fix you are looking for.

Yep, there's an OS level "issue" where if you set the softkeys to size 0, the SIP pops up. It can probably be fixed with some misdirection. I'll have to remember.

Thanx Meschle, that deff was the problem. 2 Things though: Is the task manager not suppose to get pushed to the bottom when dcinobar is used?? Does vjtoggletoday push it to the bottom?
Also, I use ThemeGenCE...but how can i make a today screen to fit the bottom??

Guys, VJToggleToday isn't finished yet, I've just not had the energy to get around to it. For now, I think it is supposed to move the tray down, but I can't remember. I'll try to devote some time to it soon, but I'm working mightly hard at work, then baby to take care of in the evening, and a new website to write... I'll try to work on it, I promise!

Any answer to the 1st & 3rd questions??

I don't think VJToggleToday moves the tray, from memory. It's supposed to, but it probably doesn't right now - because when it is finished, it
will do something entirely different with the tray. For now, now idea, can't remember.
For themegen - just use a wallpaper bigger then 320 pixels high: normal wallpapers are 320 - 26 (for the menu bar) - 26 (for the soft keys). Bigger is better, to fill in the gaps now exposed.

I downloaded this version
The only differance between this and the one already found in the othere LG today plug thread is dciNoBar.exe so no need to register to get what you already get strait of this side
and no need to make a new thread for things that you could have added to the other thread

what is the use of spacer 2 here?

It works great, the only real point of it is it removes the bottom bar of windows mobile (aka the soft keys) when you are on the main screen. The file is safe as it is really the same files we already have here, just packaged together for ease of use.
The spacer program is actually a quick fix for making the buttons show up on the bottom. I did notice a good value on it was 69 when using only the htc home plugin and the buttons, with the bottom bar enabled. and 94 with only the 2 plugins and the bottom taskbar disabled.

does any one have that all black theme we see in the screenshots?

heres a black theme but it doesnt say htc on it.
is there a way to configure this thing or are we stuck with it the way it is. i want to edit what the icons open up.

I figured I would give this a shot on a clean install of DCD's 1.6.7 ROM. Memory usage dropped from 27.52 free to 19.xx after installing this today plugin. It looks perty and works as described but that's just too much memory for me to sacrifice.

Mem Delta is about half-MiB for me (build 318), and I have a plethora of other plugins on my todayscreen as well.

I installed this software but can't see any changes. I've never installed any themes or changed the background so this is possibly the reason I can't see it. How can you tell?

Try to uninstall the cab....there is no prog. icon in programs.
haven´t tested myself, but i should work.

Where to get clear clock for new ROMS?

I'm looking for a clear clock to make it just the numbers and weather. I already found the cab to clear off the panels behind the clock. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Looking to get the white out of the clock in the screnshot below.

hisandherturbo these are all the cabs that I used to get it like this so far. No nearly done, lol.
Taskbar icons were found on this site, as was the HDWalls program that removes the taskbar background.
I installed the cab from CD993 first (thanks again) and then used the Background cab to clear off the wall/panel from behind it.
Remove curtains is to remove the curtains/haze from the top and bottom of the screen.
And no dotted lines is for no dotted lines, lol.
I in no way shape or form made these or helped in making them lol. But theya re nice and whoever made them thanks a whole lot.

do you still get animated weather with that background?

not tested with 2.5, you should be able to just uninstall the clock and that should restore your previous one.

can confirm not working with 2.5

How do I make the taskbars transparent? I'm using NRG's build 23016.. and for some reason, none of the cabs I've tried makes them transparent. My slider is, but the taskbars (the one on the bottom and top that has your status, phone, start button and such) still remain there.

not too sure m8y, had a look round for that clock last week and randomly came across it here on XDA somewhere, best having a search around, I just used search terms like "transparent 2.1 weather clock rhodium" (or keywords along those lines) on google and found stuff that way!

Unsure why your experiencing that, I don't use that clock myself I just hunted for one when I saw someone was seeking one, sorry I can't help you any further!

That is because the cab is for the clock
Transparent curtains and sliders created from here
