Sorry i'm posted as guest,
how can I understand if the hardware or the software it is bad?
Hope someone can help me with this.
I am helping my friend to get his i-mate jamin to connect to a wireless router. This router was provided by Telstra in Australia and its on cable.
The router have a 128bit WEP key which requires me to put in 26 characters, but the wi-fi of the jamin only allows me to put in max 19 characters.
I am very new to all this and I hope someone can help me with this problem.
Unfortunately, I already tried to change the WEP key for the router to 64bit but it won't let me.
The router is a Motorola SURFboard SBG900.
The i-mate jamin device information:
ROM version: 2.13.9.23 WWE
ROM date: 2/23/06
Radio version: 1_02.20.21
Protocol: 4.1.13.9
ExtROM version: 2.13.9.122
Is there anywhere that I can get a new driver for the SDIO WLAN Wireless Adapter so that I can upgrade it and make it accept 128bit WEP?
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks so much.

Hello everybody, I can connect to my own wireless router without problem but I have to fill in the SSID key everytime I connect . Is there another procedure on storing this number .
I hope anyone can help.
What ROM do you have on your s200, I know I was having the same problem with some of the roms in this forum. If it is the AKU 3.2 then I suggest you go to something a bit more stable, problems are bound to exist on a ROM that is not for your hardware.
Hello Jeff, I do not know how to find any aku something. Is AKU a Rom version?
In Device Information it says:
ROM version 2.26.10.2 WWE
Radio version 02.19.21
Protocol version: 4.1.13.09
ExtROM version: 2.15.13.121

well then, ive posted this before.
i had the same problem. my solution was this:
1) delete the settings for your wireless network on your device
2) restart your device
3) enter router settings, delete your device from there
4) restart your router
5) connect to router via wifi on your device
6) assign a static IP to your device in router settings
hope this helps!
