[Updated 27th June 2009] - Look below for list of updates/changes.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
After Posting here a few days ago about wanting to change the default (and rather ugly) pRSSreader program and notification icon, I took it upon myself to look into the issue rather than sit around waiting for replies.
Suffice it to say that, after a quite bumpy learning curve, I produced my own set of icons for the main program shortcut and taskbar notification from any good-looking RSS icons I found on the internet that were available.
I wasn't happy with just one icon and one new notification, so since I had amassed quite a few RSS icons during my searching, I decided to utilise the best of those I found and created a varying set of icons for all of you to enjoy!
Due to the varying nature of some of the icons I found, I turned my little quest for a new icon into a full-blown modification of the icons within the application as well.
...So, I present to you below, the (I guess version 1.0) of my modification icon set for pRSSreader. The icons were tested and created for version 1.4.4 of pRSSreader, so compatability cannot be guaranteed with earlier versions.
A COUPLE OF THINGS TO NOTE BEFORE DOWNLOADING & INSTALLING:
> In an effort (and my own personal desires) to have smoother curves and 'glossier' icons, the 'pink' used for global transparancy has been removed in favour of using the standard white/grey background with a default install of pRSSreader - otherwise pink boarders are visible around the edges of the new icons. Providing you have the default colours, everything should blend seemlessly. Not really an issue, but worth noting!
> This is the first time I have ever created ANYTHING for windows mobile, so it'll be difficult for me to solve any problems any of you may have. That said, most of the CAB's were tested on my own Diamond repeatdly, and providing the instructions below are followed, everything should be fine.
> When you choose your desired icon MOD set, please choose the location to be the INSTALL LOCATION WHERE YOU INSTALLED 'pRSSreader'. So if you installled to 'Phone Storage' then choose that, otherwise choose 'Internal Storage' if that is where pRSSreader was installed.
> Once installed, PLEASE SOFT RESET in order to affect the changes inside of TF3D & the shortcut links. I would recommend a SOFT RESET over disabling TF3D temporarily. A soft-reset can't hurt can it !
WARNING:
The MOD files will OVERWRITE you existing pRSSreader files. You wont loose your feed data or podcasts, but, should you so desire to have the original program icons back, you will need to use the supplied 'RESTORE ORIGINAL FILES'. Please Ensure you UNINSTALL THE MOD FIRST, if you decide to do this.
Again: The 'original file restore' CAB, is for version 1.4.4 of pRSSreader. If you do not want to use this CAB or have a different version, you could overwrite your installation by using the original creators installer CAB.
And now the fun bit...
Look at the table that I have designed below and choose your desired icon set. Pick your desired program icon first then the notification icon.
Find the CAB NUMBER/NAME by cross-referncing where they join together and download the necessary CAB below.

> Added TWO new program icons. Those being:
> Added a 'Today Screen' plugin patch to replace the original purple [R] icon, with the new default RSS feed icon. This patch can be found in a later post (look below) - entitled 'Today Screen Icon Patch'.
NOTE:This patch is NOT NECESSARY if you have chosen to use program icons 7 & 8 - The patch is already pre-applied in the setup!
It is also not necessary if you don't use the Windows Mobile standard Today Screen. Only use it if you don't have Titanium or Manila TF3D or similar (SPB Shell for example) enabled.

Information: This thread provides matching color icons for various HTC Plugins collected from various sources.
Sources are from:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.php?p=126112&postcount=1 - 4 Main plugins - HTC Cube, Quicklauncher, Action Screen
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=344533 - All of the plugins are here except for the 10 button commmanager. You can grab Actionscreen, HTC Kaiser Home 2.1, Quicklauncher, RandomAccess, Action Screen.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=345090&highlight=touchstyles - This is the base of the thread. All of the colors are made by Mikkelnl on this thread. I essentially grabbed his zipfiles and added Poorlyduck's randomacess colors found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=347334&highlight=random+access+color and ADDED Quicklauncher colors to match his themes as well as modified the HTC Home selection color to match, as well as changed the HTC Clock to match. Donate to the above as it is primarily their contribution, I just added a few things and modified things to my taste, and really take no credit for them, just posting to contribute something else. Hope you enjoy.
Contents: The files are posted as zips and include colors and icons for Action Screen, HTC Cube, Dialer, HTC Home, Commmanager, RandomAccess (in Actionscreen folder), Sprint Quicklaunch Icons and HTC home icons to match the touchstyles themes thread.
Installation instructions: I use DCD's 1.6.7 Rom which has a compatible Commmanager, but not-compatible Dialer (i'll work on changing the colors for these soon)
Install the Action Screen, Quicklauncher found here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.php?p=126112&postcount=1
Install the Cube using Xplode's Cab here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=343583
and other plugins (except for 10buttoncommmanager) can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=344533 including Actionscreen, HTC Kaiser Home 2.1, Quicklauncher, RandomAccess, Action Screen.
Grab the Allblack theme from Touchstyles thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=345090&highlight=touchstyles
Directions: Install all or any of the above and copy and paste the contents of the Zip folders of the color of your choice into the /windows folder for all the plugins except HTC Home. For the HTC Home Icons copy them over to to /HTCHome folder (depending on your installation). You may have to disable the HTC Home and Quicklauncher plugins from Todayscreen before you do this.
P.S. I don't use Touch Dialer because of DCD Rom, so I don't copy over the Dialer because it messes up your dialer. I'll work on changing the colors for DCD's Dialer.

Here's a few Quicklaunch and Color packages. The zips include colors for Action Screen, HTC Cube, Dialer, HTC Home, Commmanager contributed by this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=345090&highlight=touchstyles so donate to him if you like these.
It also includes the RandomAccess colors by PoorlyDuck.
My contribution is coloring and changing the clock, the coloring of the Sprint quicklaunch icons and htc home icons to match the touchstyles themes. Hope you enjoy them.
Installation instructions: Install the 4 items here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.php?p=126112&postcount=1 and other plugins can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=344533
Install the Yellowcube or BlueCube linked by Poorlyduck above. Make sure you have the 10button Commmanger, Touch Dialer, Kaiser Home Screen, Allblack theme (from Touchstyles thread) (search here or XDA for them)
and copy and paste the contents of the folders into the /windows folder and the Home Icons to /HTCHome folder (depending on your installation)
P.S. I don't use Touch Dialer so I don't copy over the Dialer because it messes up my dialer.

THANKS. I ALREADY INSTALLED THIS SOFTWARE BUT I DON'T HOW IT'S WORKS. IS THIS FOR MOGUL OR ONLY FOR TOUCH PHONE?
Your HTC Phone (pretty much any ofthem) need to have HTC Home plugin + Sprint Quicklauncher + Actionscreeen/randomaccess/Touch Cube/10 button commmanager/dialer
If you don't have them you can follow the links in the first post and read the instructions to install them, but this thread isn't a guide on how to do that, only provides color icons that match.
iPhone icons?
I tried to rename and resize some iPhone icons but it came out funny. I want it to match my existing setup. I wasnt using this particular version of QL with tv and live search though. Advice?

Hello Everyone!
I'm developping a Launcher App and I need some beta testing on it. I've tested it over some wm6 emulators and on my Herald WWE with Touch-it ROM. It uses .NET CF 2.0.
Basically it contains some horizontal scrolling list's. The scrolling can be performed by using the finger over the screen. It is fully configurable through config.xml file placed in the installation directory. Currently you can add 3 types of "elements" to each scrolling list or row (see config.xml for some examples):
- Icons: you can add the icon path (theorically every size is accepted) asociated command execution with parameters. You can also add the attribute "rowspan" if you hace some larger icons in the list for them to get more rows in the list.
- Allcontactswithphoto: this element will automatically load all the contacts you have with asociated photo. It includes a max attribute to avoid allocating all the device memory if you have lot's of contacts with photos.
- folder: this will add shortcut to all the files located in the directory especified.

Sorry, The screenshot does not contain the contacts photodial because I don't have contacts in the emulator .
Currently it doesn't allow:
- Changing between screen sizes (this includes landscape and portait). But it theorically can work with almost every screen size.
- Specify contacts to include in photodial.
Please, any feedback, advice or bugreport would be apreciated . And by the way, sorry for my english....
In the package there are also included some example icons taken from deviantart. I don't remenber the place or author I take them from. If someone find's them out please tell me.
By downloading and using this application you agree the following:
- Use this application at your own risk.
- This thread is the only place allowed to link to the file download.. If you like the app and you want more people to have it please place a link to this thread.
Interesting Will try this later
Don't work on HTC Wizard WM 6.

kpyto, please, make sure you have this folder in the file system:
<folder path="\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\"/>
If you dont have it, change the path in the config.xml to point to your programs forder of the start menu or just remove it (the line of the config.xml).

Working For Me!!!
Ok, thats probably because of the languaje of the rom.... The programs folder of WWE ROM's is \Windows\Start Menu\Programs\..... You may have to change the path included in the config.xml 20th line, or if you tell me which is the Start Menu path of your ROM I will post here an apropiate config.xml file.
Any way, here you have a cab with config.xml without the line pointing to the folder. Just reinstall it...
\Windows\Menu Démarrer\Programmes\.....
for french rom.
but i found the prog in the \Program Files\ThrottleLauncher folder.
thanks
the new one work and its a good ide thanks
Nice concept.
And it's really fluid, but my only gripe is that the NETCF slows everything down...maybe a rewrite in C++ is in order eh?
Other than that, top concept 5/5
works on a touch... like the idea
Yes ,been waiting for someone to make horizontally scrowable rows.
But I would like it as a today plugin rather than as a today screen itself, because i miss a clock and apps that tell me about msgs and calls and stuff.
Very cool! Can't wait to see where this goes.
sprint touch
works as advertised on sprint touch...love teh interface, however is it possible to put it as a today plugin so that it can be used as a scrollable horizontal bottom bar or 2....something like a scrollable sprint home launcher...
it scrolls very smoothly though.
also, how do u add more buttons to the list, if its possible yet! how 'bout adding dynamic scrolling?
batcatman, you can add more apps by changing the config.xml. You can also add more rows with the elements described in my first post. To add another app short cut for example, just place inside a row tag in the config.xml a row like this:
<icon path="icons\Internet.png" exec="\Windows\IExplore.exe"/>
path: is the path to the icon.
exec: is the path to the exe file of the linked app
Thans to everyone for the comments. I will try to satisfy every request .
I vote for making it a today plugin. Would be much more useful.
this is looking very cool...nice work !
Looking forward for further releases.

Hello,
First post here at XDA. I've been a member of a couple other boards but like XDA the best because people only post when they have something useful to say...on with it then...
This theme is a combination of two different TF3D themes and a few cabs...not an all in one install but only a few simple steps...very clean look, runs extremely smooth...
I can post cabs / themes if anybody really needs to get them from this thread, but I encourage people to search like I did because you will find lots of useful content and information while searching around
Here is a hopefully noob proof set of instructions....
I am using a SPRINT DIAMOND ON STOCK SPRINT ROM
Use the newest "Diamond TF3D Config" to install two TF3D themes. (this prog will also let you restore you default theme should you screw anything up)
1.) Installed The O2 blue theme for TF3d
(search for "o2 theme")
Only use the "O2 Theme" under the today theme settings, not on tf3d...this is what gives the top and bottom bars the dark blue color, it also gives you a nice blue start menu...when you install the "white theme" in the next step everything else gets over-ridden anyway
2.) Install The "White TF3D Theme" for Touchflo 3D
(Search for "White TF3D Theme")
this gives you the slider, icons and curtains for TF3D...the included clock doesn't work but that brings us to step 3.
3.) Install Nisse's Sprint2Flip clock, then black flip clock then background for all tabs hack, to get a working black flip clock and background for all tabs.
(search for these three things, very easy to find)
4.) Installed Nisse's black font colour cab
(guess what to do to find this...)
5.) Installed Call history tab, HD Contacts Tab, and HD Weather Tab
(wasn't that easy)
also removed the sprint music store icon from music page and used program "Personalizer" to change text from "Sprint" to "Dynasty Labs"
This is a nice theme that i had never seen!
May i have a download link?
Everything you need is available on the forums for you to put it together just like I did.
I wouldn't feel right posting up this theme right away because I didn't custom make any of it, it's just pieces from multiple themes put together.
I'm going to wait and see if enough people like it and if they do then I will try to make it a single cab install or one master folder with all the needed manila files for people to copy over.
My friends who have noob english...
Download link doesn't exist, there are too many files.
If people like, I will try to make it a download
Why not...I can't sleep so here you go.....This is my first try at packaging up a theme...
How I made this theme myself can be found ABOVE^^^^ if you copy these files you may still need to tweak it by using some of the above mentioned steps
Through Manila Customizer, I used the "backup current theme" option, which copies ALL manila files from your windows directory, and backs them up into another folder for you.
Attached are all the manila files that cuztomizer backed up.
These are all the manila files, use total commander to copy the files into the windows directory....at your own risk
wallpaper.
bump...
There seems to be some interest so I'll give this a quick bump then I'll let it die out. 23 people have downloaded it so far any input would be nice
[APP] [12-06] ★ ★ ★ Manila 2.5 HomeScreenJump 2.0 update ★ ★ ★
Hi guys,
I was watching a Youtube video showing up the new HTC Wildfire with an awesome feature, pressing an hardware key you have access to an homescreen from where you can run the widget you desire.
So I´ve decided to create a small app for our Rhodium:
Name: HomeScreenJump for TouchPro 2
Version: 2.0
Author: dotcompt
Requirements: .NET CF 3.5
Description: HomeScreen from where you can jump to the Manila Tab you want.
Tabs available: Home, People, Messages, Mail, Weather, Twitter, Music, Photos&Videos, Call History, eReader, Documents, GPS Tracker, Settings, Calendar, Internet, Manila TV, Stocks, Footprints, Facebook and Programs Tabs.

Change Log 12-06-2010:
One Cab Installer.
Fullscreen view (no more WM6.5 buttons).
Visual enhancements and animations.
Favorite wallpaper crash fixed.
Readme file added to install folder
Change Log 07-06-2010:
3x3 grid with 9 Tab links
20 Manila Tabs available now
Wallpaper changer easy to skin
Favorite wallpaper - you need to copy your favorite wallpaper to \Program Files\HomeScreenJump\Wallpapers with the name "favorite.jpg"
Option to choose which tabs to show
Instructions steps:
1. Remove previous cabs (HSJ Basefiles.cab & HomeScreenJump.cab), and delete \Program Files\Homescreenjump folder in your device
2. Install the "HomeScreenJump.cab" in attach (device)
3. Optional - If you want to launch the HomeScreenJump from the TP2 Start Menu Hardware key (which is the best way to run it):
- Install "RhodiumKbdControl_GSM.CAB" and dont reset yet. (device)
- Install "dotcompt TP2 Start Menu Hardware Key remap.cab" (device)
4. Restart
Now by holding down the TP2 Start Menu hardware key for a second the homescreenJump will open and you can choose the manila Tab you want to go.
Note: This app was only tested on TouchPro 2 and it will probably work on other devices but definitely you have to skip step 3 that is exclusive for TP2 devices.

Sweeeett. Nice one
ill give it a go
Interesting. Will give it a try after I flash the latest ROM.
awesome mod dot. i installed the first .cab and used keyboard config that was already in the rom to run it on long press home key.... thanks!!!
Dude this is PRO! I love it. Thanks Dot.

Another amazing product from dot.
Nice to know that you are playing around with Visual Studio. Getting ready for WP7 apps?
Thanks
Since I see "GSM" in the name of one of the CABs, am I correct that this will not work on CDMA TP2s?
works great! thanks for your hard work.. but is there a way to work around the skin? i would be nice to have a matching wallpaper to the one that we use.
looks nice il try it out
Installed on my HD2 and it works like a treat. I'd love to see where this development goes.
Also works on the Topaz/Diamond 2. Thanks for the work and effort
help
how do you remove it from hd2
Might I suggest this thread be shifted into the Windows Software Development or the Windows Apps and Games section so more people can enjoy your work?
Interesting concept... you just need to make it flexible by reading the registry for active tabs instead of hardcoding and you have a winner
Looks nice, but a few suggestions:
Option to change background
Option to choose which tabs to show
3x3, 3x4, or 3x5 grid
Some eye-candy animations
Live or last-visit based preview
Shouldn't be too hard except for the last one, but if you can detect which tab the user is on, screen capture is easy in C#/VB.NET

awesome thx.s
if we use our own cdma keyboard config tool, can us cdma'ers use this cab safely as well? im on a sprint tp2
hey it's agreat app and it's work on my HD2
Thanks
...I can't seem to find a straightforward answer to any of this. I've got a TP2 from Sprint that has the gray-ish interface with the orange "trim" or highlights or whatever you would call it.
I've been wanting to change the theme on my phone for a while, but finding a simple solution is worse than finding the proverbial needle in a haystack. Everything seems overly complicated JUST to change how things look. With basic WinMo it's extremely easy, but manila/TF3D? Not so much.
After scouring the interwebs, I finally found a way to get rid of the bottom curtain over the tabs, change the clock to a white flip clock, and have the backgrounds on all tabs. I essentially just want to change the Sprint color scheme to that of the stock black/white from HTC.
I've looked at programs like Chainfire's CFC GUI editor, but I can't even figure out how to get started, aside from connecting through Activesync. I'm not a complete n00b when it comes to themes on WinMo or HTC phones, but TF3D seems elusive at best. I feel like I'm so close, but yet so far away! Is there anyone out there that can help a fellow TP2er out? PLEASE!?
Here are some pics that might shed some light on what I'm trying to accmplish. Notice the orage part of the tabs, and the "grey out" when sliding between tabs. I want change the former and get rid of the latter (which I've found on this forum, but I can't figure out how to do it). Also, the gray parts of the interface I wanted to change to black.

I don't know what to do with the zip file in the thread. It says replace the original manila one with this one, but I don't know how to do that.
procedures
You just have to have a lot of spare time on your hands to create themes. You need a png editor to create images and size them. You will need to place the images in the exact locations that they are in the manila files. Chainfires program is the easiest manila editor to use hands down.
You will need total commander to move files from your storage card to the windows file. http://tcce.s3.amazonaws.com/tcmdpocketarm.exe
Best practice is to first disable htc sense before putting in your alterred manila files.
start
settings
today
items
uncheck htc sense
after installing the manila files recheck the htc sense.
You need to know what kind of manila you are using
start
settings
system
device information.
1.Find a slider theme on XDA that matches your manila
2. download it to your desktop
3. Use the cab2oem to extract the cab
4. use chainfire to extract the images
6. Change the images to what you want
7. Use chainfire to put the images back into the manila files
8. Place the new slider folder in your storage card through active sync
9. disable htc sense
9. Use total commander to transfer the files to your windows folder
10. enable htc sense
Or if you find a slider you like with a cab just install it and your done
The basics of chainfire from osrix
1) either extract or put clock files into a folder
2) inside that folder create a new folder called PNGs
3) open CFC Gui and select the folder with the clock files in..it will then read the manila files and show them on the right hand side as images, this will allow you to get top know which file codes relate to which images -essential!
4) in the tools dropdown of CFC select Export to Pngs, now point it to the pngs folder you created and let it do the rest. it will let you know when its done.
5) you now have Png images to work with in PS!
6) the most important thing when editing the images is to make sure the new image is exactly in the same position as the original on the canvas, I do this by making the original image layer slightly transparent so that i can switch it on and off to check the position of the new one, and when i am done either just turn it off or delete that layer before saving.
Thanks for the help. I'm getting there, but I can't find ANY sliders for Manila/TF3D 2.1 (which I'm using), that have the stock Rhodium colors. I've been searching all day. Everything seems to be for Sense 2.5 And it's not just the sliders. It's themes in general. I just can't find anything.
So I actually managed to find a theme for TF3D 2.1, which pretty much does what I'm looking for (it even turns 'All Programs' into four columns!) However, I still have the ugly orange Sprint color for the highlighted tabs. Is there something more to getting rid of this than changing the icons?
