This is a weird one.
When in France the other day I had a couple of text messages.
The SMS tone was constantly going off, it was just repeating itself until I read the message. Usually the tone just goes off the once with SPB phone suite giving reminders every 5 minutes.
But obviously something went amiss whilst roaming, any ideas anyone?
Thanks in advance

I've set a very loud noise for notifications of appointments, missed calls, arrived SMS's and so on. But Amsterdam is a noisy city, so it often happens that I do not hear the initial notification. Of course I can see them once I see my Today screen. But I'm one of those rare people who's not staring at the today screen all day ;-)
appointment notification settings has a check box for "repeat". Very nice, but that doesn't repeat anything as long as the notification dialog is still on.
Missed calls and arrived SMS's do not have that repeat setting by default.
And I do not really understand what the use is of a loud notification right after I missed a loud ringtone. I want to be notified later on until the device sees that I take action.
I found out that I could turn that on by replacing a registry key value from 9 to 40000019 (I believe, I can check that later). Borrowed that setting from the appointment notification.
The bad news is that the notification after a missed call/SMS now doesn't stop repeating after I've read the SMS or followed up the missed call. It goes on and on till I either reset or till it drains the battery.
Any suggestions from different registry settings up to commercial software are welcome.

Ok I was wondering if it would be possible to loop or repeat the "sound missed call notification".When I missed a call , I get notified but only one time.
Like I don't have all the time my eyes on my wizard, sometime I find out I missed a call way later .Would there be any cabs/software that allow to get notified at least every 10 or 15 minutes? thanks.
what kind of phone alarm notification you are using??
In my Spb Phone suite you can set up how long, how many times and how evry minutes you want to heard the alarm notifiaction of any of the missing incoming calls or data.
Well I was using the one built in mobile 6 (using TNT4 rom) ..but thanks for your answer. That's exactly what I was looking for
This may well be a problem with Orange rather than a handset/software problem but for the last month, i've had a notification that I have new voicemail but when I check there isn't one.
I've been through ROM updates and hard resets in that time so that would indicate that it's a service rather than handset problem but thought i'd ask here anyway just in case anyone knows how to fix it before I phone the idiots at Orange about it.
I've got an Orange HD touch I think what you are noticing is the voicemail icon appears when any type of message is received (text email etc.) not just when a voicemail arrives.
I hope this is helpfull, I know it took me a while to stop ringing voicemail every time the icon turned up.

It's not showing in the taskbar, it's saying 'New Voicemail' on the homesceen (under call history, above appointments).
Might not be the same but a few years ago I had a WM smartphone on Orange that would always tell me that I had a voicemail. The trick was leave myself a voicemail, listen to it, delete it then wait about 5-10 seconds before hanging up. The voicemail notification would then disapear. Then whenever I did get a voicemail I would listen to it as normal, delete it, then again wait 5-10 seconds before hanging up.
Worth a try!

That fixed it. Thanks very much.
Good to hear mate.
Pretty straightforward. I turned off notification sounds while on call, but the phone still vibrates while I am on a call. I can get 10 emails on a five minute call so it is maddening to have the phone constantly vibrating.
Anybody know were this setting is?
Thanks.

Additional question, is everyone's GS4's vibrating for new emails, using the stock email app, while on calls?
Hi, I thought Sidelight would do the trick, and it works great, EXCEPT for the fact that it only alerts once and then stops. Often I'm out of the work vehicle and I won't see that notification alert and will end up not knowing anything came through.
Is there an alternative option for this phone that will simply give a recurring visual alert on the screen for calls and texts that I've missed?
