I am still having problems with memory storage.
I have DL Desire v4.1 and using MAGLDR to load then ROM.
I have formatted the SD card with the Ext3 partition using the mini tool, but i am still getting the low storage space. Looking at the SD card storage it does show 3gig out of a 4gig SD card but im guessing this is what it should be.
I have been looking for a good step by step guide but everyone i read seems to be different or it has parts missing.
Any help ?
Did you make sure you clicked apply on minitool?
i may be wrong, but if you added the ext partition after the rom was already installed, wouldn't only new apps be placed on the ext partition? (perhaps im wrong, dunno much about this)
hello,
i want to wipe my android and start from scratch , also i want to delete any contents on my sd card...
but what contents on the sd card must remain? i remeber when i bought my desire, there were already folders on the sd card, are they important??
how do i do this?
first wipe/reinstall rom , then format, then wipe again?
Why wipe and then reinstall the same rom? Wipe=factory reset which deletes all user info, apps, etc etc. As in it will look like it did when you wiped and installed rom for the first time. Just reformat the sd card and you are done. You aren't gonna see a completely empty sd card after reformatting. There will be system folders that android will place there.

thnx for the update... is there already a tool supplied with the rom to format the sd card??
what format system do i need to use fat32?

After you have wiped and flashed your new rom, you can format your SD card from within android. That way, it will be able to place the default folders in there for you at the same time.
perfect, thnx for the info...
i have WP7 in NAND and installed RAFDROID in SD card. my card is 16gb. 7 gb partitioned as FAT32 for ANDROID use.. now i successfully booted up android RAFDROID ROM. but whe i go to the setting inside android i only see 800MB around of internal free space and no SD card space. i am wondering where is the rest of the space fro 7 GB gone.
because of this i cant store music and files and use in Android booting off from SD

The first thing to check is your sd card fat32 part for errors...
If there are file/dir errors the android cannot read the sd...
Get this tool http://www.partitionwizard.com/free-partition-manager.html
and check your card and fix the errors...
Also the android to see the partition you must do the partioning in a way like in this guide...

Watch those video and if you still have probs let me know

download something like acronis disk manager.
partitions are going into something like ext 3 and windows wont see them.
with acronis it can see it and give you the chance to reformat back to fat32 or whatever you desire!
i actually used the mnitool partition tool to partition my SD card. and followed that video. still i m not sure why i m not able to see the rest of the SD card space. i m using RAFDROID ROM

checked there r no errors. i had followed the video guide you mentioned to put android in SD card.
solved
i did two things..
1. changed the wp7 partition to PRIMARY ( i think this was the key to the solution)
2. from the video tutorial.. copied the startup.txt and the rootfs.img files in the "Android" folder..
i am not sure which step actually made it work.. i can verify it tomorrow.

If you want to move the Obb file (app data file) in memory card , so you can save application installation memory from large games of 2-3Gb?
we dont have move to sd feature as our internal storage in emulator mode .
then yes its possible and there are 2-3 methods and the simplest method is by using FolderMount app.

Hit thanks if i helped
the better way is if you are using class 10 memory card..
- Flash Wsm Tool in recovery mode.
- Reboot and enter Wsm Tool, Hit Install and reboot.
- Enter Wsm tool again n then search for XExtStorage and download.
- After download finish, Apply it then reboot.
- Now your external will be swap with internal.. you can check it in setting-storage.
